The store front was clear of customers and only one other was in front of us in the drive thru line. Being our first time, it was a little hard to read the menu from a car behind, so we needed to wait until we got to the window to see what they had to offer. AND BOY do they have a lot different things to offer. We decided on a double cheeseburger combo with fries and drink - total after tax about $15. Hm...okay no problem. Once you paid, you were instructed to drive around the building to the other side where you would pick-up your food once done. We waiting maybe 10 mins (if even that) and our food was brought out to us. The staff were friendly and it looked like a clean establishment from where we sat waiting. Now...the food. I can't say the price reflected the amount of food you got. The burger was somewhat on the small size, the fries were okay, and the drink was just a drink. Nothing to really write home about. Maybe next time we will try something different to have a full experience (if we are on that side of town).

You can usually seat yourself, and the staff greets you promptly. They offer a full bar, house-brewed tea, rotating desserts, lunch and dinner options, and TVs with closed captioning so you can catch a game or trivia. Their seafood selection is excellent, with oysters and other items served fried, steamed, blackened, grilled, and more. They list the origin of their shrimp, clams, and oysters on the wall, and the chalkboard specials change depending on where the oysters were sourced that day. The "Greggah" lobster roll was perfection--a generous portion of chilled lobster in their signature sauce on a top-cut, buttery soft bun. The slaw served with it was creamy, cold, fresh, slightly sweet, and had the right tang. The sausage and potatoes side was one of the best staples from this restaurant group. A later snack of fried clam strips and fried oysters showed the same quality. Everything was freshly breaded, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It came with hush puppies, coleslaw, and a house-made tartar sauce that was spot-on. Another visit included a house salad with homemade ranch and the double-decker crab cake sandwich--two fresh, in-house-made crab cakes stacked together with coleslaw on the side. It was outstanding. Consistently fresh seafood, friendly service, clean atmosphere, and reliable quality make this Shuckin' Shack location a solid choice whether you're in town briefly or a regular local.

The food was okay but one plate came out of the kitchen cold. It was not busy...we arrived at 11am and we were the only customers for over 30 mins. Our waitress was horrible. We asked for iced tea and she brought out cheese. When she was corrected she brought us 1 glass of tea for 3 people. A fork was dropped on the floor and the server picked up the dirty fork and handed it back to us. She brought the check and we needed to verify it was correct since the server did not have her act together. She stood at the table even though we asked for a moment to review the check. We asked her again for a moment and her comment was "what's with the attitude"? Excuse me....we are the paying customers and had nicely requested corrections on everything she had screwed up. We asked for the manager, told him what the situation was and he refunded $8.00 on a $44 bill. WE WILL NOT BE BACK! The better step up their customer service game or they will rightly lose regular customers.

The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and heat. Since I used the drive-thru, I can't really comment on the inside of the restaurant, but the drive-thru experience was excellent. This is one of those fast food chains we don't have in Michigan, so we figured this was as good an opportunity as ever to try them. I have to say that they exceeded my expectations for a fast food dine-in experience. The restaurant was very clean inside and out, the staff were super courteous, and all the food we had was delicious and well seasoned. Our family of 4 was satisfied with the 6 chicken tenders, fries and toast. My wife and kids don't like cole slaw in general, but I enjoyed theirs. Since we were here I decided to also get one strawberry milkshake and a chicken quesadilla (which is wild to me they offer it). We finished everything without a hitch. Great pit stop
