This restaurant is in a strip shopping center and in the area of local hotels. We were seated near the bar which was a nice booth with raised barriers between tables which made conversation easy. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. I hope we're lucky enough to meet Kaydi again, as she's an asset to this establishment.

This is your typical independent roadside joint that was popular back in the 1950's but have now managed to die out in most parts of the country. There is ample parking out front, and the area you order from (pictured) is inside a set of double doors. There are places to sit, including a cool old school rocking chair, while you wait for your food to come out. All items are made to order here, so you will have to wait a bit but it is worth the wait. For breakfast my favorite is the wagon train sandwich. This is double bacon, fried egg, and pimento spread on a Kaiser roll. Killer flavor combo and be sure to get a side order of hash browns extra crispy to go along with it. The homemade biscuits here are similarly a must try. This place closes at 2 each day, so keep this in mind if you are after some lunch. The Big Ben burger is essentially a homemade bacon double cheese burger topped with their house made chili. Yum. It's a winner. They also have daily specials which you will find on a dry erase board inside where you order. While the menu offers a wide variety of options, the overall experience at this location fell short. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the restaurant appeared noticeably unclean. The tables were extremely dirty, and the restroom had no soap available, which is a major concern. Additionally, the ice cream machine looked poorly maintained, further raising questions about sanitation standards. As for the food, it did not meet the level I typically associate with Freddy's. The burger bun was falling apart, as if it were stale, and the bacon was overcooked. The burger itself was very basic and lacked the flavor and quality I've come to expect. I also tried the new taco item, but it was underwhelming and not particularly memorable. Based on the cleanliness issues and the decline in food quality, I would not return to this location.

My favorite fast-food place! They have quesadillas, burgers, corn dogs!, hush puppies, chicken sandwiches, anything. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and nothing here is frozen. All the meat and chicken tastes 100% fresh and the sanitation score is 102! You can watch them constantly clean. The food is great, always hot, and very cheap! For under $5 you can get just about anything in a combo with a milkshake! I like to watch them spin my shakes and the lady said you can mix any/all of the 50+ flavors. Pretty cool. Definitely a spot you need to hit for a quick bite! Only negative thing is that there isn't enough parking. But we just park in the neighboring lot. read more

It's unassuming...and absolutely packed at weekday lunch for good reason. Even with a full house, we were seated quickly, and the service was outstanding. I never caught our server's name, but she was wonderful. Everyone here treats customers like neighbors instead of table numbers. We even watched servers pull up a chair to chat with regulars about what to order. That's not slow service--that's small-town hospitality at its finest. My husband ordered a burger and fries, and let me tell you--that burger came stacked, fresh, and delicious. I had the house-made pimento cheese sandwich with onion rings. The pimento cheese wasn't quite my preferred style, but it was still tasty. The fries and onion rings were standard, but they did the job. A word of warning: if you ask for "everything" on your burger, be prepared for the kitchen to interpret that very creatively. Chili? Sure. Whatever else they can find? Quite possibly. Consider yourself warned! One thing I'd love to see improved is pricing. The menu and hot bar don't list prices, so you're ordering with a little faith. Also, the sweet tea lives up to its Southern reputation--it is sweet. Thankfully, you can mix it with unsweet tea if your dentist would prefer you did. We didn't try the hot bar, but watching plates of meat-and-two sides come out made me second-guess my order. And don't even get me started on the desserts. The cobbler and banana pudding looked downright sinful. If you're looking for fancy, keep driving.
