We loved our dinner at LilyAnn's! We had a cocktail at the bar while our table was prepared. The cocktails were yummy and the bartender, Audreta, was a gem! Our steaks were to die for! Can't wait to go back!! read more

Stopped at Outback in Rocky Mount after a long drive, and it was exactly what we needed! We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. All the outback decor is basically the same rustic, looking with a center bar with seating and booths around the edges. Our server, Jared, took great care of us. He was attentive, checked on us throughout the meal, and never made us feel forgotten, which unfortunately can happen at some restaurants. We ordered the 6-ounce filet mignon and the ribeye, and both were cooked perfectly. We each got a sweet potato, along with a Caesar salad and a house salad. Everything hit the spot after being on the road for so long. A really nice experience from start to finish. Highly recommend stopping at this Outback if you're in the Rocky Mount area! read more

First off I would have given a 1 if it hadn't been for our waitress Debbie and the on duty manager (who was just filling in, who should be a manager, but isn't) Brittany. These two ladies went above and beyond to fix the issues and we didn't even have to ask for them to fix anything. Whoever the restaurant manager is you really need to make Brittany a manager. She stepped up and took care of us above and beyond and was pleasant the whole time. Debbie also stepped up and gave us free refills bc of the long wait without us asking her to bc our drinks weren't free refills. She kept checking on us and giving us updates the whole time. Made sure we have plenty of bread to keep us content until food arrived. Now, bad part we were there for 2 hrs waiting for food. Our blooming onion came out fast and so did the bread and my husbands side salad, but when it came to entrée that was a different story. It was a very busy evening and I do believe they were understaff bc they weren't even setting people on one side of the restaurant, so I don't know if back of house was understaffed too, but let's just say it took way too long and then when our food came out it was not good. My husbands shrimp was ice cold like it just came out of fridge and thrown on his plate and his cheese fries were cold. Then my steak was cold to the touch, I mean fridge cold. The other person who was with us got a blooming chicken and he said his was fine. They took all our food back and redid it, at this point after 2 hrs we just wanted it boxed up to go and so they recooked it and boxed it all up and gave us free deserts. They did comp all our drinks, mine and my husbands meal and the blooming onion, which was great for the experience we had. Those two ladies saved the night. Needless to say I just ate bread and blooming onion for dinner, but have steak for dinner tonight. I will also say the bathrooms were dirty, paper towels all over the floors, counters were covered in water like someone had taken a bath in there. I do believe this restaurant needs more staff, the staff they had were working their tails off and no one was standing around doing nothing. I felt bad bc they trying their hardest and just couldn't keep up. We love outback and eat there a lot. This was our first time going to this location, when we go back I will always ask to be seated in Debbie section and hopefully they have given Brittany that raise she deserves. read more

Surf & Turf for a great price - I usually don't eat chain spots when I'm out of town but I couldn't pass up Outback's Tuesday Tail deal - 6oz sirloin & Lobster tail w/ 2 sides for $24.99 It's not advertised in the restaurant but I saw it on the app. As I walked in hostess let me know bar is 1st come seating. Sat down at the bar & was immediately greeted by Jennifer. She was amazing & very attentive. If nothing else, I would come back for the service. Food was cooked perfectly & well worth the $$ - see pics. This spot is conveniently located next to hotels & seems to stay busy so sign in online during dinner hours. Definitely one of the better locations this corporation. read more

I ordered the Boomerang Cheeseburger from the kids' menu with the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese through the app for curbside service. I waited a little over 10 minutes for my order, which I didn't mind at all. Outback has some of the best looking burgers I've ever seen the presentation was perfect. The Steakhouse Mac & Cheese was hands down the best I've had at any restaurant. It had just a little kick to it, not too spicy, and the flavor was fantastic. I will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

Horrible service I walked in 30 min before closing the bar tender was screaming last call several times sounded like some dive bar in a remote Navy harbor some where in the third world. Waiter was rude as hell strongly suggested what I should order because it was closing time. So ok I agreed! When the food came out she threw the plate in front of me and just walked off!!! I could only swallow half of the stake for all grissel and fat! Rocky Mount is known for bad service I only come here because I must for work!!!! Worst service I have ever seen from an Outback Steak House I travel all across the us every week and I have never seen this bad a service at any Outback Steak house any where in the U Thesesguys really are bad at what the do!!!! read more

Passing through and stopped for a meal. There was a mixup on the food and they served the wrong fellow my meal who was happy for the free food. The manager (Jennifer) and bar area staff realized the mixup, and made it right, they were also very kind. I will be back. read more

Outback Steakhouse in Rocky Mount has plenty of parking, and I was able to walk in and get greeted and seated properly. My beverage, salad, and bread came out quickly. I ordered a ribeye steak with coconut shrimp and a loaded baked potato. The steak was good, cooked to the correct internal temperature, though a bit overseasoned. The shrimp were good as well. The baked potato, however, was lukewarm--just barely warm enough to melt the cheese. My server was great and attentive, but each one of my dishes was run by a different person. read more

I had the chicken, baked potato and salad meal for dinner, and I was extremely disappointed. The salad had chunks of moldy lettuce, great start huh? I had asked for no salt on my main meal...the baked potato came with a totally salted exterior. The chicken was thin and was beyond dry. I mentioned the potato, and they said they'd bring me one without salt, all they did was scrape off the salt, and the saltiness still remained. I paid for the meal, but won't be back. read more

Every time I have gone to this Outback I have had nothing but bad service and bad food. I can't wait till Texas Roadhouse opens.

Today was a pleasant surprise at the Outback Steakhouse. I had fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they were delicious. For the main course I had grilled shrimp with the normal sides. Everything was absolutely cooked perfectly and delicious. Highly recommended, read more

4:30p Tuesday Service- seating hostess was nice. Needs to not be on her phone while working. Waitress was prompt, bread server was nice. Food- my hubby's Kingland pasta Steak and shrimp Alfredo- not enough Alfredo sauce so it was a bit dry. Only a little sauce drizzled on the meat. The sauce tasted from like a jar and had been in the jar a long time. The steak was salty and tough. The shrimp was like rubber and had a slight bleach smell and taste to it. To much chlorine in the water?? Mine was steak salad. It was Okay. I didn't care for the dressing that came with it. Not enough blue cheese pieces, carrots were dry. Too much salad to meat ratio. Dessert- brownie was fine as is. Overall, just the food quality was lacking in my opinion. We won't be back. read more

I was staying at the nearby Doubletree Hotel and decided to walk over to this restaurant due to convenience after driving for 8 hours. So glad I did. I have been eating at this chain for many years and their food and Menu remain good. This particular restaurant is surrounded by about 6 hotels, so they seem to get a lot of travelers. Service was quick and friendly from everyone working. I opted for one of my favorite items on the menu, Alice springs chicken. It is a chicken breast with mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar cheese, along with honey mustard dressing. It also comes with 2 sides. I had the loaded baked potato and the house salad. Complimentary bread is also included. Everything tasted great. I would eat here again. read more

Ordered Uber Eats from this location and had a poor experience. Canberra steak was overcooked and heavily salted, and my mashed potatoes had no flavor. I also had my green beans swapped for broccoli, but I received no communication from the restaurant that they were out or it would be replaced. Food was pretty cold too, so that was frustrating as well. Should've looked at reviews before this and I don't think I'll order from here again if I'm in the area for work in the future read more

The whole dining experience was not great..the food came out ice cold...from the bar area we could hear..whom I assume was the manager screaming at the staff...we did ask staff and yes that was the manager...after being in the car for 9 hours today we just needed to relax and if it wasn't for the 2 bartenders..Jennifer H (I'm sorry I don't remember the other bartenders name) this visit would have been a total bust...both bartenders were so attentive and funny ...if not for the two of these amazing women we would have walked out hungry but ...they apologized and went above and beyond trying to make things right for us...kudos to them and if ur in town ask for the amazing duo..its def worth it... read more

Very good, I was taken there for my birthday. Great food and a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday. Staff were great.

This place closes crazy early. It's one of two restaurants within eight hotels in this very small town Monday night. They're closed at 10pm despite me walking in at 10:03 in the staff eating leftovers I was refused service if you're traveling to Rocky Mount bring your own food they roll up to sidewalks around here early. read more

Had dinner at the Rocky Mount Outback. The food was mediocre at best and the service was pitiful. I'm not sure what's going on with the Outback chain but it seems as though they are going downhill. I won't be back to this location. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. We got there at 6:30. The waiter didn't even come to the table for 30 minutes. We got only ONE of their tiny loaves of bread for 5 adults with a tiny amount of butter. We had to ask 2 times for another loaf. They took our drink orders. They took 30 minutes to bring cokes. By now it's 7:30. Took our food orders. Brought the appetizers out 20 minutes later. At 8:30 we got our food. My baked potato which I ordered loaded, didn't even have butter on it. We were there over 2 hours before we ate. I will never go there again. Hopefully Texas Roadhouse will be built soon!! read more

We went back to Outback last night and it was like being in a different restaurant from the last time.... Our food was horrible. The blooming onion first of all came out, overcooked almost burnt, and the oil looked like it needed to be changed. The waitress was not familiar with the menu. We had ordered three orders of coconut shrimp. However she only rang into two and thank God for that because that was even worse than the blooming onion, overcooked, dirty oil and filled with stuffing. I left there with a queasy stomach. The oil is sitting in my stomach. I asked for a Heineken. I had to repeat that like three times. She didn't know what beers were in the bottle and then my husband got a tropical drink and she didn't know anything about it. I'm not blaming the waitress because apparently this must've been her first shift. We got our bread when our bill was delivered, I would not recommend this place at all read more

Surprised by this place. We came here after an unpleasant experience at a nearby restaurant (Texas Steakhouse and Saloon) where we could not get anyone to serve us. We walked in here and it was packed, so we chose to sit at the bar. As soon as we sat down, they were taking our drink orders and after ordering two glasses of the house Chardonnay, our server suggested a bottle as it was a better value if we were going to have a third glass (GREAT SERVICE). I ordered the grilled shrimp entree and had the Texas Chili and dinner salad as a side. The food was outstanding. I'm a fan of Outback after this and will dine at this chain again. read more

Visited on 11/17 around 7 PM. The good news...our waitress (Vanessa or Veronica) was attentive and accommodating. Especially considering a party of about 15. The wings were fantastic! By far one of the best experiences that I've had to date. I'll look for Outback's wings going forward. Now for the bad...I ordered the 10 oz bone in ribeye with asparagus and mashed potatoes - what a woeful experience! The asparagus was completely overcooked, drooping with absolutely no texture (akin to string beans) and the ribeye (medium) was 1/4 fat and severely under seasoned. Probably the worst ribeye I've ever had. My waitress was kind enough to swap out the asparagus for a salad but to be honest, I should have sent the entire meal back. Even the potatoes were void of seasoning and the entire meal was lukewarm. A complete disaster. I'm fairly tolerant so for me to write this review expressing things in the way that I am - this was a major miss on Outback's part. Last thing, the pink lemonade was more like pink lemonade flavored water. As you can see, save the wing appetizer along with the coconut shrimp (which were nearly overcooked) this was NOT a pleasant experience. Visit at your own risk unless, of course, you're all about the wings! read more

This place had great customer service from the time that we walked in until the time that we exited. Our server Maureen was awesome, the other waitress with "three sons," was awesome and even the manager (female making rounds in the restaurant to ensure that all was well) was awesome too. We eat Outback often and generally we prefer to try other places while traveling. However, we weren't in the mood to experiment this time.....we were hungry! The only gripe that I had was that the floor led throughout the restaurant were dangerously slippery. There was some sort of condensation issue or something. It was like ice skating . Otherwise, we highly recommend this place. Diverse crowd and southern hospitality at its finest in this establishment!! read more

Learn how to cook the Blooming Onion! We had dinner there today and the manager removed the appetizer, Blooming Onion. At a price $12, it should be perfect. It was small and very, very over cook and it was bought to our table. The waitress was friendly and had five tables. The waitress had help bringing the food out. I ordered the Ceasar salad with shrimp and boy, they were salty. Had to leave them. The baked potatoes were small and at $4 each it really should have been much larger. I didn't want to keep complaining so we finish what we could and left. Of course, we tipped appropriately for the waitress sake. Overall the food is just average. It's not like it once was. read more
