We called K&M Pest out to fix our enormous ant problem - which I'm guessing most of you Vista homeowners deal with in the warmer months. After one visit, the ants were gone. We signed up for a bi-monthly service as a precaution, and haven't seen an ant since. The technician is always very friendly and they call in advance to tell us when they're coming. Last month we had them spray inside as well (spider problem) but it didn't seem to have much of an effect. I called and let them know, and the technician is coming out to spray again free of charge. read more

I have been a customer of K&M pest for about a year. I don't know what Manny's been spraying outside my home to kill ants, spiders, etc, but K&M's service has consistently been ineffective. After nearly every service visit there have been many ants in my home. After their last visit there was a trail of ants that spanned the perimeter of several rooms. The visit before last resulted in several thousand ants in my home office. I'm unwilling to continue to follow up with K&M after each visit to ask that they return to re-spray. I expect the service to be effective the first time. Further, I've found K&M's customer service to be lacking. I've been unable to reach the company via phone for over a week now because their voice mail has been full. If you want effective pest service and customer service, look elsewhere. read more

Yelp was right once again! I found this place after doing a search for pest control companies. I saw the solid reviews and decided to give this place a try. I was extremely satisfied with the service they provided. The folks on the phone were extremely helpful, patient and gave very clear explanations of the fees and services involved I had an issue with cockroaches in my home after I stupidly bought a fridge on Craigslist and didn't clean it out before putting in my garage. Needless to say within a week we started to see the roaches in the garage! Im such a procrastinator, thinking mild sprays would fix the problem, roaches started to show up in the house not even two weeks later!! I gave a call and had them at our house the next day! Not only were they extremely punctual (which was a surprise given that most times I end up waiting for any kind of technician to come over my place) - but the inspection was extremely thorough. checking every nook and cranny of the house as part of the visual inspection and leaving traps and spraying the house! They even contacted me 3 days later to double check everything and have come out two times to check traps and verfiy the roaches were gone at no extra charge!!! Pretty disappointed based on all the great reviews. Inspector came out to get us a quote on termites. He was a nice guy and I figured this was a done deal. Promised to email us a quote when he got back to the office. A week later still no quote. I called to follow up and the receptionist said the quote was all ready to send just needed a final signature. Two weeks later still no quote. I guess they don't need the business. My landlord purchased a groupon for their services and I called to schedule an inspection for possible bed bugs. The lady on the phone was curt and condescending instead of helpful and informative. She assured me that her technicians were very qualified and would utilize a very specific inspection for bed bugs if this was my concern. We tried to use them for months. They set up monthly service, sometimes show up after they hadn't been there for 6 weeks, sometimes only 2 weeks. They change your service day, but don't bother to pick up the phone to tell you that - instead they send snail mail informing you of the change. I finally gave up and cancelled service in December - we had a remaining bait station that they needed to pick up. I check with them in January to find out when they would pick it up, then February --- finally in March I asked if I should just throw it away. Witthin a day or two of the final email informing them I was going to just throw away the bait station, they just showed up to pick it up - no call or scheduling --- it's a good thing I was here at the time. read more

K & M did a great job. My dogs were exposed to ticks at someone house we visited, and they failed to tell us they were having a problem until far too late. Next thing I know I'm having a serious outbreak despite flea/tick medicines and tick baths. K & M, along with my vet, advised us exactly how to proceed to get rid of them. They very difficult to get rid of. K & M came out the same day I called them. The office was very knowledgable, polite, caring, and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. The technician that came out was Manny and he was so very professional, courteous and very good at explaining the situation.
