Does it get any better than this?!" Six cars back, two huskies entered the chat transforming fast food gridlock into utter pandemonium. The huskies raced from one Side of the car to the other, colliding as they jumped from front to back, crushing their owner and howling out the windows as the car rocked violently "Hey! Hey! We're here too! Look! Back here! Look! Look! Can you hear us!? We're here too! Isn't this great‽" And the barking and the howling and the little shepherd still speechless and shook had every human in this breakfast traffic jam smiling, laughing hanging out our windows craning to better see these dogs having the best doggone time. And a dozen people alone in their metal cocoons, joined a jubilant symphony of love and freedom, conducted by four furry joy machines absolutely stoked to be out on a McMuffin run. And for five minutes we paused our poison pen debates, forgot we'd been told to hate the aliens within our gates and we all just smiled and laughed and joined the happy dog party. Five stars.

After some conversation, they said if I had cash, I could still buy a beer (always carry cash!). The regulars moved on, and I was finishing my drink when the power comes back on! The owner Mike had already sent most of his staff home, as the estimated power restoration was well beyond their normal operating hours, but he said he would turn the fryers back on, and start the pizza oven since I was there. I told him he didn't have to and I would head back to East Lansing, but he insisted, at this point I was the only one in the place! Ordered a pizza, and boy was it delish! By the time my pizza had arrived, a few others had managed to come in and fill up the place! Thanks to Mike, Jen (bartender) and the staff who stayed! I'm almost sure she could have put the order for 2 exact meals thru at FULL price on 1 credit card charge, but that wasn't even offered. The manager should have told her if a problem occurs she should ask the Manager for solution. REALLY BAD that I could not be billed for both meals on 1 credit card purchase since my wife and I was together. I really thought Poppies would have pushed KFC out of business on Cedar St. The brand new Chic fil Lay store just build on Cedar Street will most likely put your store out of business because there service it some of the best in the business.
