Tony and his crew worked all day and into the night installing 3 AC units on the roof of my building. They gave me an excellent price on 3 AC+coils and Tony came back to check the pressures.....free of charge. Another day, another five star review for the guys at K&K. My third, I believe. Honestly folks? This is a no brainer. 100% no brainer. Category killer, done deal, "if you ever need ANYTHING to do with HVAC no matter what call these guys." They just made TWO house calls, and fixed a furnace (and told my tenant to call THEM directly and not me) for...$80. I will write an update every GOD damn time for these guys. If you're not using them for all your heat/air conditioning stuff, you're doing it wrong. read more

I had a great experience with K & K Construction! The family (including their cute and rambunctious son) came out on a Sunday morning to give us a quote on hooking up our washer and dryer, which included running a gas line and setting up a drain system. Their quote was more than fair (actually $250 less than another place) and they came back that night to do the install! Now that's impressive! Oksana even called me later that night to make sure everything was working OK. I would totally recommend K&K for any household repair. If you like doing business with a family owned establishment that really cares, look no further. read more

Rarely do I write a review online, but these guys are so great , I had to let the world know. So, my kitchen sink and bath tub were TOTALLY clogged ! After three days of DIY unclogging, scheduling appointments for weeks ahead with local guys , I've called K&K . Not only, they came the same night and fixed up the problem, they also charged a fraction of the other estimates.This is the company you have to use for your handyman needs.I will recommend them to everyone and will use their service in the future. K&K did an awesome job!! Thought I'd get the run around after dealing with so many bad handyman and contractors in Chicago that overcharge and fix the wrong problems. That includes Handico who seems to want to charge double the amount of what it should cost to fix. I highly recommend K&K and will use them in the future. read more

We came back from vacation to blinking clocks and an AC that wasn't working. The technician was there within an hour and a half and was able to get the parts that were needed the same day to fix our AC unit. The price was very reasonable. Well. I had a high opinion of this company. Dedicated and inexpensive. The second time I used their services, I gave the guy a $20 tip. I was very happy. Last week, I called them for some new work, as well as followup work which I wanted to pay for. I was told I would be called back after schedule confirmation. I never got a call back. I have called again the next day, three days later (at which point I left a voicemail asking for a call back please), and another three or four days after that. No answer, no return call. This has been the opposite of my previous two experiences. I don't know what's going on with K & K, but it's clearly time for me to move on to someone else. read more

I had gotten a call back even though I didn't leave a message, and Oksana had agreed to have her husband come and look at our central a/c unit. Tony had started working at 6am and still made it to my place at 10pm at night to fill the a/c with freon. He filled it to the maximum capacity and waited it out to see if it would cool down the place. Seeing that it didn't make the place cooler, we decided that we had to replace the unit the next day. I stayed home in the triple digit record high heat in hopes that Tony could come back earlier, and Oksana even offered to let me stay at her home. Oksana and Tony allowed me to meet them at the location where their supplier was to pay for the unit on my credit card. Oksana was easy to talk with and very sympathetic to my problem and so knowledgeable. She was able to help diagnose issues, and explain how things work - it was so impressive! Tony came back the next day with help from a friend and came to install the unit. They replaced the coils as well, and made sure that the temperature on his gauge dropped 50 degrees to ensure that it was working properly. They worked in triple digit weather and did a wonderful job, and it was the utmost concern to Tony that he did the best job possible. I am so grateful for all their help and work in making sure that we were comfortable and happy. Their prices were very fair - Tony even went back home to get an extra set of coils that he didn't charge me for. Oksana and Tony share a passion for their work, to help people, and do the best job possible. I highly recommend them and cannot say enough, I will certainly use their services in the future! read more

Dawn Quelly who is the VP of Operations is the most unprofessional, disrespectful person I have ever encountered in this industry. I would not recommend working with her or this company. They burned the relationship they had with their subcontractor, didn't pay them, then tried to put it back on our company. She is insulting, condescending and unprofessional. As someone who has worked with many construction teams in the industry, i would advise to stay away from this company. read more

Family run contractors with corporate level craftsmanship. They installed a new set of Kitchen cabinets, countertop and sink for me. Bogdan paid great attention to detail in his work and arrived exactly when scheduled for both the estimate and the installation. Some delay in response when scheduling which is why i didn't give them 5 stars but I will most likely use them again for another kitchen remodeling I have planned. read more

These people rip you off. They tried to tell me I needed a new compressor for my AC unit and offered to fix it for $600. They went as far as to have the husband translate to the wife what was wrong and show me the broken part. The broken part turned out to be a $3 capacitor. Luckily I got a second opinion and got my AC working, and recharged for $100. Buyer beware. These people seemed nice but almost ripped me for $600 and made up things that were not true read more

These guys are awesome. They have done three jobs for us to date. The first was to install hookups for a washer and a dryer - no small feat. And for far less than others wanted to charge... AND they did an outstanding job with all the fine details - even hanging way out a window and caulking neatly around the vent they installed sticking out two stories up. Above and beyond in my opinion. Second, we had our kitchen sink clog up. I then managed to blow out the pipe in our bathroom sink with my handiness with a metal snake thinger rendering us sink-less. Wife brushed teeth in bathtub. At 9pm the two guys came over, worked until 1am, then came back the next day from 2-6. Then charged me a relative pittance. Note that they have excellent senses of humor, and I gave them the keys to our place while we were out of town with no reservations for the w/d work. The third time is tonight. Random water leaking from our ceiling around our AC unit, pregnant wife calls in a semi-panic and it's 98 degrees out. I came home and looked at it, clearly beyond me and called K and K. A couple hours later, at 10pm they showed up and went to work. It's not done yet but getting close as I write this. Fabulous guys all around, highly recommended. read more

They took their time and paid attention to details (which had not been done in the previous kitchen), helped us solve a few unexpected issues and offered suggestions that will help us out in the long run.
