I hired them to install an Innovair 36000 ductless Tri zone mini split air conditioner heat pump Dec 26, 2023. One zone, that serves the living room and my bedroom, only blows cold air. It does not heat up. They have been notified and initially promised to send someone to repair it. No one came. All attempts to contact them, including the company's owner Michael Sokolovsky have since gone unanswered. The temperature has dipped to 55° in my home. I am a senior citizen who is suffering with congestive heart failure, high blood pressure atrial fibrillation as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and rheumatoid arthritis . It's hard for me to get around much less dealing with inadequate heat. I find their inactions incomprehensible and I can't imagine why they don't fix this. I paid $5,100 cash out of pocket thinking they'll do a great job. Quite the opposite. In fact, they did such a shoddy job of installing it that they left cracks and holes in my wall allowing outside air to flood into my home. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois attorney general consumer fraud bureau. My advise is to stay as far away from them as possible. read more

When the A/C in a townhouse we own started failing (about 20yrs old), we searched for companies that could replace it . The first one was quite responsive, came out and did an assessment and gave us a quote to replace the HVAC system. Their price quote almost knocked us over. Looking for another alternative, we contacted MMDS and sent them pictures of the current set-up. Michael gave us a quote estimate over the phone that was thousands!! less than the original quote for the same equipment. We approved MMDS quote on a Tuesday, got the permit approved on Wed, and they installed the system on Friday. The installer was very professional and even fixed an issue with the dryer vent while he was there. The final price was exactly as originally quoted with no add-ons. A company with this kind of service and response really deserves more than 5 stars. We highly recommend! read more

So here is the review: In 2022, it is very difficult to get actual expert level contracting work. No matter if you have resources. It is simply very challenging, to say the least, to get that expert level know how. MMS has engineer quality in their installation and solution services. The company has properly trained crew. This is defined, in part by: Smart technicians. Expert listeners. Response time is bang on. Planning. Keeping to schedule. I cannot imagine finding higher quality mechanics and engineers. You have to try real hard to get what you pay for. This said, MMS goes well above and beyond delivering a top tier service you can hardly find. You may find this level of service. Our AC died. Mechanical Management offered plenty of education and options about opportunities to improve our system. They were very responsive and were able to offer the fastest turnaround from request to service. They offered a fair price, giving me a more efficient unit at a price that was nearly as low as my next best offer. Vince, the tech that came out was VERY thorough. He was able to figure out the problem quickly! He was VERY knowledgeable and explained to us what was happening we to cause the issues. Once figuring out that our units needed to be replaced, Michael Sokolovsky answered all our questions, and helped us figure out which units would be the best for us. Utterly unreliable!!! I sent them request for HVAC quote and sent them all my existing HVAC information and pictures, and I thought they would appreciate this opportunity and my business, like every decent professional company, and their rep. or owner, Michael Sokolovski, replied and promised me a quote but forgot. I reminded him a few times, and every time he sent me some irrelevant replies (probably to win some time while being busy). In my 5-th e-mail I openly asked if he forgot, and he admitted that he did and promised to send me a quote next day, but he forgot again, and, after my next reminder he replied with just 1 dry $ number, no brands, no models, no capacity, etc. Although I do not know for sure, I feel that this is a one-man company, and he may be running around forgetting and/or late for his appointments. My husband and I had the unfortunate experience of our AC breaking down in the middle of summer because clearly that's the best time for it not to work and we knew we needed someone and fast. I figure having an hvac company come out is always a risk because you never want to be ripped off whether with the work the company does nor with how much they charge you so we decided to ask our friends who they would recommend. After talking to a few friends and getting the names of a few companies, someone recommended Michael from MMS and I decided to give him a call. He was very nice and professional over the phone and he had someone out that same day with an estimate. He was able to charge us the service call to come out into the price of fixing whatever technical issue we had. Apparently, we needed some kind of new part that had to be special ordered in order to get our AC up and running again. After meeting with a few other companies, we decided that MMS is who we would go with for this repair. Since the part had to be special ordered it took a few days to come in in which our fans became our bffs but when it finally came in, Michael sent out one of his techs to come out and install it into our house. The repair was done within a few hours and our AC has been up and running ever since, thank god, because you don't want to have AC issues in this Chicago heat and humidity. Overall, we had a great experience with MMS since everything was handled professionally and I felt they charged us a fair price for the work that was done. My only recommendation for them was that specific repair guy to be a little cleaner when doing the work but I guess when you're working with some sort of mechanical coil that has to be replaced, things can get a little dirty. Otherwise, I think it's a company you can trust and rely on for your hvac needs who won't over charge you nor nickle and dime you for their services. Hopefully, we won't have any hvac problems in the near future, but I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. read more

I called Mechanical Management when my water heater stopped working. They were able to get someone to my house in less than 2 hours. When the tech got there, he acted quickly, determined the problem in minutes, had the part available in his truck, and had everything up and running in less than 20 minutes. The most surprising part was that when I got the bill, it accurately reflected the quick work that the tech was able to do, and didn't have huge minimum charges for coming out.
