Really enjoyed the service provided by Michael. Our Furnace is old, granted but he tried to find a solution that would fix it. Ultimately it required a replacement, as the parts are just old. I took in other quotes previously to see what the comparison is and I thought Michaels quotes for really good brand of Carrier was better than some other quotes that I received. He came the next day from when I asked about his service. In/out for the replacement it was a good experience. I thought he ran a good shop, was trustworthy. I am really happy with the service I received from Michael. He is very professional and knowledgeable about his trade. I contacted him to do maintenance on my furnace and he got back to me right away to set up the appointment. Once he arrived he went straight to work, checking the furnace and answering our questions. He didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need and he checked the whole system to make sure it was in proper working order. The system has an attached humidifier and we weren't sure how to use it or how to adjust the settings, Michael walked us through all of it. He checked the humidifier and saw that it needed a new filter and said he'd come back with it the next business day. When he returned with the filter, he had included the serial # and other information so we could purchase it ourselves in the future. Best of all his charges were as advertised and very reasonable for maintenance. He just added the cost of the new filter to the bill. Michael was very helpful to us. Local HVAC installed a new furnace/AC system at my house 11 months ago. Michael seemed earnest and forthright, so I felt comfortable with him. He in fact did not install the new system himself, but rather had subcontractors perform the work. He explained why he couldn't do it himself and I was ok with that. In the Spring, I was a little surprised I hadn't heard from him as typically when a contractor installs your system, they're eager to follow up with a maintenance schedule each Spring and Fall. I called him in May to set up a Spring maintenance visit and left a message and never heard back. A week later I called the main number and someone there said Michael would get back to me, but never did. I was puzzled, but the system was operating normally and there was nothing urgent, so I just let it go. I called again in mid summer with a question about the AC, and went through the same routine, with the same lack of any response from either Michael or his staff. Hard to figure. In a gesture of pure optimism, I tried one more time this week for the fall service. First the main number (where the receptionist assured me someone would get back to me next day) Then, getting no response, called Michael's number and left message. Nothing. In fact, no one from Local HVAC has EVER called here. This is inexplicable. And totally unacceptable. I don't know what's happened there, but I cannot recommend this service. My furnace stopped working right after NY's Eve(like 7am in the morning), and it was getting super cold in our house(I thought my cat would freeze to death it was that chilly), we thought we were doomed as who would come right away to fix it on the national day off??? But after multiple attempts calling everyone we finally found the right fit! We reached these guys and were so surprised they came so quickly! It didn't take them long to figure out the problem and fix it. They were professional and honest and saved our day from freezing in that crazy cold. Also When we were waiting for someone to come I've read a useful article about furnace troubleshooting and steps you might want to take before calling anyone on their website. It was 95 degrees out on Saturday and we had a week-old newborn at home, so going without AC was not an option. I tinkered with the fuse box, reset my Nest, etc. Basically, I tried everything that wouldn't require professional service. Within 2 hours of me requesting a quote through yelp, these guys were at my house, fixing the AC with parts they had on the truck (blown capacitor) and the cost was incredibly reasonable. I'm still kind of in shock at how quickly and how well they took care of this - especially on the weekend. 5 stars, would definitely recommend. read more

Furnace was out on Saturday night. Micheal came on Sunday 1/2 hr earlier than quoted. He determined which part was not working. He removed it and replaced it in 15 minutes and said he would see if the part was in stock the next morning. He called with a quote of over $600, which I declined, since I had called the supplier and found that the part was a little over $200. It was also available on Amazon for under $100. Michael said he would not install if we bought the part since he could not give a warrantee. I have now gone elsewhere. read more

He came to check on the ac as scheduled, and since it was cool outside and the unit was turned off, he called me later the same day after it warmed up, to see if he can stop by again. He was sure to use the plastic booties over his shoes, since it was wet outside. He identified the problem, and suggested solution. I have only one problem with him: he didn't charge me a penny!!!! Called Local HVAC Repairs the technical guy Mike answered himself and arrived after hours same evening. They arrive fast! No diagnostic fees, no silly chicken on the phone trying to charge you unreasonable fees. You speak right to polite HVAC technician. They have spare parts. My split conditioner for the addition was not cooling, the problem was diagnostic in minutes, the capacitor went off. Now attention, they had spare capacitor installed it and the problem was fixed the same day. They carry spare parts, they diagnose and fix really quick. The main conditioner was served next evening, they put special treatment to my old HVAC which made it perform better and consume less electricity. They also put more frion an charged per actual amount, not per unit they purchase, like many other HVAC specialists do. Long story short: Professional, honest, prompt. read more

Michael and his team (Russell) came to the rescue when our AC unit broke down and we were on the verge of having to suffer through our first heat wave of the year. Fortunately, Michael was able to come out the same day and provide an estimate as well various financing options, and then quickly set up a time for the install. I cannot say enough good things about this company! We recently moved to a new house and discovered that our AC was no longer working. We had a home warranty and spent countless hours trying to get them to fix the problem. Long story short, it was five weeks of no AC and I had had enough of dealing with the home warranty company who spent the entire time pointing fingers internally and not actually fixing the problem. The temperatures had significantly increased during this time and with a newborn and toddler, it was becoming more and more urgent to get the problem fixed quickly. My AC unit stopped working after my siding got replaced because the siding guys incorrectly cut the AC wire. Michael came quickly to troubleshoot the issue but he could not fix it immediately as the siding near the AC connection needs to be removed to allow him to re-connect the wires. After I asked my siding guy to take care of that, Michael came again and fix the issue. He only charged $75 for two visits! Michael is very professional and polite. David did an excellent job servicing our furnace and cleaning the ducts and dryer vent. We will use them again in the future.
