Terrible! They came out charged me $322 and the "part" they "replaced" didn't even work for 24 hours. Than I some how got roped into a contract with them. Called the next day to state the part didn't fix it and they told me they would suggest I replace it. Of coarse b/c why not get $7K out of me instead of $322! Called another company he fixed it and its been working since. Called back Air Blue and was told that its my problem I used a different company and they will not credit be back anything. So they clearly don't stand by their work and service! Poor customer service from Debbie blaming me for using another company b/c they couldn't fix it! We had an issue with the basement not heating up in winter. We were getting heat to the upstairs but not the basement. This issue occurred twice in the past 50 years of living here. These repairmen didn't know how to fix the issue. Their solution was to install pumps on each radiator with 2 zone controllers and a thermostat. The estimate was $4930. Apparently they are proficient with modern home heating not homes that are over 100 years old. In the past repairmen knew how to get our heat back up in the basement now they are at a loss. read more

We would never, ever use this company. We met them while engaging in a construction project for the owners. We thought it would be a great idea to support people that were supporting us. Therefore our company requested an estimate for some stolen AC and Heating units. The owner came out and loosely scanned around the building. Despite requesting a real estimate to use for our insurance company all we got was a poorly worded estimate for the wrong equipment to properly heat and cool our building. Here's where it gets pathetic. The owners will attack you on social media if you even slightly disappoint them. We don't typically leave negative feedback but in this case I think it's best to avoid this company. read more

Great experience with Air Blue. Installed a new AC unit and air handler - I liked their professionalism and that they kept my home clean while installing the unit. I didn't feel pressure to get a new unit, they did everything they could to fix my old until until the replacement parts weren't worth the investment on our 12 year unit. I like the way I can adjust the temperature using my phone and my electricity bill has decreased significantly. The unit is very efficient. All in all, happy that I went with Air Blue. read more

Got their coupon to do a tune up. Scheduled an appointment to have it done. Got rescheduled by them twice. Finally they came out. Instead of doing the tune up, they handed us a $1000 repair bill and then charged us for a diagnosis. Be very careful with these people. They used deceptive tactics to make sure on paper everything looks legit. They took advantage of us, the technician was extremely rude, and they performed work they weren't authorize to perform. When I called the manager to discuss, I was told I would have to take legal action against them if I wanted my money back. Too many HVAC companies out there to have to put up with these people. read more

As of 6-1-19 still no working ac! Unit freezes water everywhere and under the flooring. Rip off. Total fraud. Invoice and quote says they sold one thing and the serial number on equipment shows it's NOT what they sold. None of it works together. Duct work is wrong, wrong size furnace not even what was paid for!! They do not care. They got paid. Steer clear of this company. Deceiving company. Paid 11k for an ac and furnace and it has never run properly. Was attacked on social media by a manager. They ran me out of warranty by not coming out and making up excuses. Not even two years old and It doesn't run properly. They will insult you and deny any wrong doing. The owner Conrad does not stand by his work and encourages unprofessional behavior as he does it also. I have used several of the "big name" HVAC companies over the past five years. By far, Air Blue has excelled way above the other companies. I use Air Blue for my personal home HVAC and for my business HVAC. They are terrific. I get the same technician for my house (Chris). He is so very thorough. He knows what I need and does an amazing job. When I sold my last house and was going through all the inspection steps, he helped tremendously with answering the realtor and buyer's questions above my HVAC. Their front office also had to fax over receipts to the buyer's realtor and they were fast and happy to do this for me. It was such a big help that they did this to expedite the sale. Chris also did a great job when I moved into my new house last year doing an independent inspection before I bought the house and uncovering some issues my realtor's inspector missed. Their office staff answer right away when I call and they also respond to emails quickly. They even sent me a get well card and gift when they found out I fell and broke my foot. How nice is that? Just saying, they're nice people in addition to being excellent HVAC experts. I highly recommend Air Blue! read more

$350 charge for 1/2 hour of labor to replace a furnace component under warranty, after being quoted $350 for "up to 2 hours of work." I called AirBlue, and the manager gave me a song about having to spend additional time processing the part, registering the part, returning the old part to Carrier, etc. They refused $200. We settled on $250. Reasonable or Ripoff? You decide. read more

I prepaid for an A/C tuneup with refrigerant via Angie's List for $107. Chris J. was the serviceman who came out to complete the job. He was extremely friendly, and he also was helpful in explaining each component he was checking. I ended up having a compressor assist installed for around $220 to reduce the start-up and standing voltage. Good job -- efficient and honest. read more

Called these guys when the furnace stopped working. It was bitterly cold and we needed heat. They arrived that afternoon but unfortunately the part needed to fix the issue was not available until the next day. The next day a new tech arrived.. Raymond i believe. And he did a fantastic job of going through the process of installing the new fan motor. Explaining everything he was doing as he was doing it. Very knowledgeable and patient. He recommended some air filters and proper cleaning for future maintenance and our heater was up and running in no time. The part was covered under warranty, but the service was quite expensive, make sure to look around for a coupon before calling these guys up. read more

I don't dare leave a detailed review of air blue because they have threatened legal action against me if I tarnish their reputation. However, I will say that they installed air conditioning and a furnace in my old home, and I greatly regret ever having hired their company. If you look at my other reviews you'll find that I am reflective and detailed, and expect to be treated well and for companies to pay attention to the details in their work with me. The scale of my dispute with air blue is in the thousands of dollars. I have given up on it because I had to move on with my life, and I can't provide more detail here as I already explained, so this is all that I dare to post here about them. read more

What a great experience! My Air Conditioning was on the fritz Friday night. It was mid 80's on Saturday and my house temperature was climbing. I wish I could give a lower score. First they gave me a 2 hour window between 5 and 7 and then called and asked if I was ready early...which I left early from work and they didn't show up until 7:45pm!!! The supposedly fixed my air, but it was not working the next day. He came back in my window of 9-11am at 12:15....again I took time off work. He then told me I had a wiring issue and quoted me at $2400. And guess what?? The unit he was working on is now working and my air isn't even on....how does that happen??? When I called to complain.....I found out the guy working on my air is the OWNER OF THE COMPANY and he told me to take my business elsewhere....come to find out he was working on the WRONG UNIT!! STAY AWAY!! Unless you want to be taken advantage of...as a single mom I was prime to be ripped off and they took advantage of me. read more

The installers showed up on time and were very knowledgeable in what they were doing. Leo and Deric installed my furnace, AC, thermostat and humidifier perfectly. They explained the operation of the system and made sure I knew how it all worked. They cleaned the work areas better than what they were when they arrived. If anyone needs heating or air service this company and there employees are top notch, you will not only not be disappointed with this company after they are all done you will have a feeling of gratification knowing that you just had the best of the best inside your home. Two bad experiences. Now I remember why I didn't use these guys, First, I replaced a furnace at my personal residence and they left the old equipment sitting in the middle of the room. They charged $1800 in labor where the going rate would have been $500-800 ($180/hr at 10 hours, what a joke). They did not install the proper thermostate because they did not know how. When I questioned them on the labor they said that's just how long it took. Rediculus. Second, this was a commercial job. They were to demo some existing trunk lines that they left throughout the site instead of putting in the dumpster. They told me the work would be completed within 5 days it took them several weeks. They did not bring the materials they needed so I had to go pick up exhaust fans for them so we could complete our above ceiling inspection. They never called for their above ceiling inspection so we ended up cutting out drywall so the inspecter could see their work. They left four registers not installed. And.. We had to furnish and install the final exhaust fan in the mechanical room. They completed roof top inspections and left two panels off causing water damage to the units and the building. We have the pictures to prove it. The staff is rude and the owners Patty and Konrad are rude. When we brought the problems to their attention they denied everything and threatened leins. We have a remaining balance of $2550 of which we have offered them $2,000 for a final waiver and instead they have chosen to file liens. They have cost me over $1500 to complete their work. Ray was great. He made the off-hours visit and in a timely fashion. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and I could tell he had some passion for what he was doing. The 3-star rating is because of company operations. I called and the phone operator told me it would be $139 to have someone come out and do a diagnosis of my leaky humidifier. Ray found the leak and offered to replace the water feed tube for $220. This is a part that I found for about $15 on the manufacturer's website and it ended up taking me one minute to install after I purchased it myself. They charged me $279: $139 for the diagnosis and $140 for the 45 minutes Ray spent doing the diagnosis. I felt the phone operator was not transparent upfront about the cost of the visit and I didn't like the massive upcharge on the water feed tube. read more

Our air conditioning broke during an unusual heatwave in March. I contacted Air Blue after reading good reviews on Angie's List. All I can say is the reviews are well deserved. Konrad was prompt, courteous and thorough. Gave us options to work with and didn't try to sell us on the highest priced option. They arrived when they said they would, cleaned up well, were respectful, and did a great job. Konrad did due diligence in finding a replacement part for our older air conditioner rather than forcing us to go with a brand new unit. We had them come back and do the duct cleaning on our house, and again, they were prompt, professional, and did a great job. It's refreshing to deal with a good business, and you can't go wrong with these guys. read more

Great experience, this was after dealing with another HVAC company two weeks ago who said that I would need another (would be the third) appointment to have a technician look at the system to figure out what is wrong. Not only did Eric arrive within the time window given, he explained everything he was doing and what potential next steps might have to be. I really appreciate the brief education he gave me in addition to explaining what was "not correct" (remember, my last appointment with a different HVAC company- was two weeks ago). Mine was a really simple fix..as in adjust the mounting on the blower and turn ON the return...two things that should have been addressed in one of my two other appointments with the other HVAC company. I'll be using Air Blue in the future and recommending them to my friends. Great experience!! read more

I am big on using references because they offer an added level of confidence and trust whenever I use a service company with which I am not familiar. Air Blue was recommended to me and I have been very pleased with their service and have used them multiple times. We have been using Air Blue since 2008 for property in Chicago as well as in the suburbs. They are courteous and professional and willing to work with my schedule. They have serviced both our old furnace (40yrs old) and our newer furnace (10 years old) and I have been very pleased with their service. Most recently, my 40 yr old furnace stopped working. While other HVAC companies told me to get the 40 yr old furnace replaced 5 years ago, Air Blue was willing to offer me pros & cons and options. They managed to replace a part that was defective and my heater is up and running again and better than before. read more

Great company. Hired them to install my furnace couple weeks ago and I had a great expirience with them. On time, clean, and professional.

My 2nd furnace stopped working. Called these guys, they sent me a "licensed technician". Minimum charge of $79. Off the bat I saw the poor guy was out of his comfort zone saing "uhh old furnace, I dont understand". Wow. Then he started poking with his multimeter around and told me my "control board" was fried because he was not getting 24V on the white terminal. I found later looking at the circuit diagram, white was GROUND so it's never supposed to have voltage in it. The "technician" said the ignitor also had to be replaced. All would be around $900 and if I'm going to spend this kind of money, he could get me a new furnace for around $5k. We wanted a second opinion and called Sears, which played the very same game only that now it was the "spark box" and ignitor. Well once these two left, my wife had an idea and we just cleaned the ignitor's tips with steel wool following a youtube video tip. Guess what happened? It started working just fine again. So good job AirBlue. I almost fell into this one. read more
