Me and my mom looked all over places from big car dealerships to family owned dealers, and we finally came across K&F Auto! Originally, I wasn't planning on purchasing a Lexus RX400h until I saw the pristine condition it was in on cars.com, so I drove down to Campbell to take a look at it. Omied showed us the car and have us looked around the exterior as well as the interior of the car on our own. Then, we brought the car to have it inspected at a nearby Lexus dealer and there were a few minor issues with the car that Omied promised to fix. The transaction went smoothly, and drove the car off the lot within 30 minutes. The car itself had a few hiccups within a few days after the purchase, but it was expected since it is an used car. The car wouldn't start on one morning, and had the battery replaced. The struts and strut mounts were bad, and were replaced by a local mechanic. Other than that, the car was still a good deal after fixing a few things here and there. They really earned a 5-star review because at the time of purchase, the car only came with one key, and Omied tried to track the other key down. Apparently, the auction didn't have them, and long story short - we got a new key from his service advisor at Lexus of Stevens Creek, and he promised to take care of the bill (Awesome!) Before launching into this review, I should provide a little background that might prove useful. I am a 69-year-old retired computer nerd, who would be considered by most to be very wealthy. Notwithstanding that wealth, I have never purchased a new car or made a car payment. Stated differently, I always buy used cars for cash. I live in San Francisco. Therefore, before driving all the way to Campbell to see K&F's offerings, I did a considerable amount of Internet shopping. My research indicated that a good collection of well equipped Lexus, Mercedes and BMW autos could be viewed at K&F. I would guess that nearly all of these cars are auction vehicles, which means that someone originally leased them and then turned them in at the end of the lease period. They then ended up on the K&F lot because Omied bought them at auction. I purchased a fully loaded 2005 LS430 with 11,000+ miles in March of 2008. This car with all the trimmings had cost nearly $70,000 when it was new. I paid Omied $40,000, which means that some mindless idiot had spent roughly $30,000 for the privilege of driving the first 11,000 miles. That's my kind of transaction. That's partly why I'm rich. My wife was with me and wanted to purchase and ES350, but she was so fussy about what she wanted that nothing on the lot met her specifications. Ordinarily, one would simply expect to go home empty handed, but not at K&F. Omied wrote down all her requirements and promised to go shopping for her at the auction lots. Within about 90 days, Omied called and announced that he had picked up the car my wife wanted. It was a 2007 ES350 with all the goodies she had specified, including interior and exterior colors. For all this special service, she paid $32,000 for the car. I have no idea what it cost when it was new. I didn't care. I was adequately impressed with the service she had received. The next time I need a car, I'm going to call Omied. I won't even go look at it. I'll just tell him what I want, and when he finds it, I'll simply drive down and pick it up. He make it that painless. BTW, the reviewer who claimed that the owner is "racist toward white people" probably doesn't realize that Iranians ARE "white people". I'm about as lily white as you get and my wife is Chinese. I grew up in the barrio of East Los Angeles, and it's my experience that those who are the first to yell "racism" tend to be the ones who are the racists. I just bought a 1997 Lexus LS 400 from them that had two owners. Omied is a young man who is friendly and not pushy. I've had to cancel to see the car a few times and he did not give me any attitude or snarky salesman's posturing. I don't have a lot of money to spend, I had a friend of a friend who is a car broker and he did much ground work for me. Don't be fooled by the "dive" atmosphere of this small dealership. I think they go the extra mile to have repeat satisfied customers. I was escorted back and forth to the Lexus Service to get a detailed Buyer's Report. It was satisfactory, given the age of the vehicle, and the price was fair. I will invest of few more dollars in this vehicle to repair a few cosmetic problems over time. Otherwise, it was a fairly clean auto with sound mechanical base that should last me 150,000 miles. Don't ever expect a used car to be perfect in every aspect. It's up to you, the buyer, to realize what's important to you and the cost involved. This was the exact opposite experience of a week prior from a large Toyota Dealership, that had delivered a 1996 Lexus LS 400 with four corporate owners for me to purchase that had so many things wrong with it, especially safety issues and cleanliness, that it should have been wholesaled. Everyone was busy working on their remodeling project yet they took the time to assist me. Bought a 04 4Runner from this place. Everything was good up until about 4 to 5 days after the purchase. I put about 200 miles on the Toyota and guess what, almost every light on the console came on! The owner pulled a fast one on me. There is a trick with older cars. If you disconnect the battery from the car for about 20 to 30 minutes the car forgets the issues it has so the light (check engine) turns off. Drive the car and put a couple hundred miles on the car and the computer in the car redetermines it's issues on lights back on. GO ELSEWHERE PLEASE. Once a snake always a snake..... read more

We purchased a sparkling graphite E90 330i from K&F auto end of March. I had been researching off lease 328i and 330i's BMWs extensively for over 3 months on CraigsList and numerous dealers and had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for. I finally drove up to K&F at campbell with my wife to TD the car. Omied has a relatively small parking lot with about 20-25 cars. Most of them seem to be low mileage off lease cars at very reasonable prices. When we got there Omied was away and his father ( a very pleasant gentleman) just handed us the keys to the car so that we could look over it. We also looked at at Mercedes E350 and Omied was upfront about the fact that it had some bodywork done on it. There was no pressure to try and sell us a car and he left us alone to look over any other cars on the lot as well. We test drove the BMW and looked around for a bit more and after about 15 mins we just walked in to the office did the paperwork and drove the car home. The experience was quite painless. I have a E46 325CI which I had purchased similarly through a small auto broker 3 years ago and had a good experience there as well. I hate walking into regular dealerships and getting the hardsell with their stupid 4 boxes. I just had a chat with Omied's father today regarding the registration and was informed that they are refunding me $110 from the registration. I would definitely recommend K&F auto to my friends and to yelpers. I am only docking K&F auto 1 star because Omied did not know how much the extended maintenance warranty would cost and just asked us to contact the different BMW dealerships directly. It would be great if he can broker the extra maintenance warranty as well (which my previous broker did for us). BTW dont expect to haggle much on the price. Omied is quite firm and quite honestly the starting price itself seems quite reasonable compared to other dealers. Not an employee, but I am a customer. I bought a Lexus LS430 in August of 2008. It is a smaller lot with probably 30 cars. Omied was the younger gentleman that helped me. He was very low pressure and allowed me to view the cars with out him over my shoulder. I spent a good hour or so just sitting in the cars playing with the different options. That alone bumps this place up a couple of stars. When it came down to making the purchase he was willing to work with me. He even swapped out the wheels from the car I purchased with some Chrome rims from another LS430 on the lot. He helped me find financing. I was having a very hard time getting approved and tried through a number of banks and ever another dealership. I'm sure Omied had a difficult time as well but was very nice about it and was able to get me financed through a local bank. The car I purchased was missing a floormatt in the back and he pulled one out of the next car that came through his lot with the same color interior. He was also willing to help with anything I needed through his connection at Lexus Dealership Service Center. It was a very pleasant experience. To the previous poster who commented that the cars are auction vehicles. Of course they are, how else would he be purchasing his cars? He doesn't get direct lease returns like a Lexus Dealership would. The one owner car deal, I believe they used carfax to confirm it was owned by one person. I recently purchased a used Lexus from this small dealer in Campbell. They seem to specialize in Mercedes, BMW, Lexus and similar vehicles. It is a small building without much inventory but you can view cars for sale online and on craigslist and autotrader.com. I also visited a Lexus dealerships to look at used cars and K&F has better prices by thousands, no hassles and it doesn't take all day to test drive and buy. It is a family business that is friendly and easy to deal with. Some of these cars have had minor repairs done so look at the carfax reports. This is my third time buying a car as an adult. I've never bought a new car, always a solid used car. I knew what type of car I wanted and began searching for it, that's when I had the opportunity to first work with Omied. I sent an email inquiry, on a 2006 MB 350 CLK Convertible (black on black), with 54,000 miles, and promptly received an email back, regarding the details about the car, and when I could come and take it for a test drive. Only Dealer who backs his Sales. I was looking for a Honda Pilot and was specific in terms of the year, the price needed to be under $10K, Miles under 125K, Clean Car that looked good and Silver or White. Tried all the web found a few and was not happy with how it was maintained both internal and external looks. After about a month I came across two cars, one which was my perfect choice, Silver, 102K miles and clean but from private party for $7250 + Tax + License and One from K&F that was 106K miles, bluishgreen (Recently Popular color) but the price was very Firm $8999 + Tax + License. I chose to go dealer route to see what am I getting for the extra dollars and met Omied Bagheri. I liked the guy, he is a great sales man, I am in the same field he let me drive other Pilots in his lot but I really like the one I got, had clean interiors, nothing abused and Omied offered an additional 3 Month coverage on the car. Till here it was all same bells and whistles offered by small dealers infacy Big ones offer a better deal for warranty, they cover few more but charge a bit more also (Price is upset by services). We were not prepared with the risk from private purchase as we wanted to be confident of our purchase, drove the car to my home to show it to my family and they liked it. My total time from talking to Omied to Purchase was under 1 hour, He ran my credit but I said I will go with TechCU; No question asked he gave me the keys to the car and said go ahead, surprising he dint take even the deposit from me... hmmm impressive customer care as he was confident on us. Second: I buy the car, see some issues and call him, immediate response "Will take care of it". My AC was not blowing COLD coz I dint check it while test driving but Omied said I will Fix it what ever it takes. Second Pilot's have problem with wobbling Driver seat after few years, I call him, immediate response "Will take care of it". Days past by, I never visit his shop. Omied calls me apologizing "Sir, I was out of station and could not followup with you but my mechanic says you never showed up to get you issues fixed"....... Whaaaatt a small time dealer following up with you to get the issues fixed....? I never saw this kind of customer care... I text him about my registration and he had it ready, I go to pick it up and he asks me to wait a minute to see if he overcharged me, he then returns me a check for $41.01 saying this was charged over the DMV Fee....... What again really.....this is Customer Service Excellence. Not sure about the negative comments but I can vouch for Omied any Day and Time. I recently bought a 2013 Volkswagen Golf tdi here. It is one of the emission recall buyback diesels that has had the EPA approved fix done. It has a clean title and Carfax, and I was able to verify the recall fix on vwdiesellookup.com. It was also a nice surprise to find out that I have a 4yr/48,000 mile extended warranty on ALL the emissions related parts; which even includes the turbo! It will be interesting to see how these cars play out as they come back into the market. This car had 40,000 miles and was priced at $11,670. It was at the top of the "good deal" list on car gurus. I feel compelled to write this review because my experience at K & F was very good, contrary to the few negative reviews here. The ad didn't have any pictures, but it sounded just right so I was able to set up an appointment to see and drive the car that afternoon. It felt right, but I told them I wanted to arrange to have my regular mechanic inspect it before I would buy it. The shop is in Portola Valley, I wasn't able to get the appointment with my mech until later that week. Sergio at K&F was completely accommodating, and drove the car there ( 40+ min. each way) and waited for an hour and a half while they did the inspection, with none of my time spent at all. The car checked out very good, so I bought it. No pushy sales, no hassles whatsoever. I probably had one of the best car buying experiences ever here. Between working 7-7pm Monday thru Thursday in Berkeley it's already hard for me to get over to Campbell in a reasonable time. Also roaming other car lots I notice I'm always quick to get bombarded by a salesman which is very irritating. I found the car I was looking for on CarGurus.com which prompted me to email Omeid. He was quick to answer my questions and was fine with us doing the foot work towards buying my now Honda Accord 2008 Coupe via email and through phone. I noticed on the K & F website you were able to fill out your credit information without having to step away from your computer which also made things just that much easier as I was without a car throughout this whole process. We had squared away all the details over the phone and via emails for me to pick up the car within the next couple of days. Omeid runs a 1 man show with sales of the cars at the lot so he's strictly appointment only which is understandable. The only reason for the 4 star is that the day I'd hoped to pick up the car Omeid let me know that the car needed to be smogged. Which I believe it was early enough in the day to get done but he explained to me that because the place was so far away and he had other appointments to attend to it was no possible. As well as... When I drove off the lot I notice the car was about 3 miles for being completely empty of gas. First time for my wife and I to buy a car. We bought in April. Yep this review is very dated. Omied took care of us. I didn't believe the price of the Lexus RX that was being sold, so I went to Magnussen's Lexus that weekend to pricematch against one of their cars. Magnussen did some research and couldn't match the price. K&F priced it too well. The carfax also checked out ok, so we went ahead with the purchase. As for negotiating, Omied fixed some broken trim, and replaced 2 tires. I was expecting some sort of cheap tire, but he actually changed them with new, and exact same Goodyear tires ($250 each according to him) on the car. Being careful people, we also had Lexus do a pre-purchase inspection, which Omied did the legwork of dropping the car off. Turned out ok, with some minor maintenance work. I negotiated to have his shop help with that. The car still drives fine today, so I'll just take it on trust that the work was good. I bought an LS 430 from K&F auto in January 2009. Great experience! I worked with Omeid at K&F. I actually stopped by and met Omeid in November 2008 and said I was looking for an LS430 but in the lower price than the high end models he had on the lot. He took my name and number and I figured that would be the last time I heard from him. Well he called me in January and said he had a Lexus LS430 on the lot that met my criteria. I came by and looked at the car. It was in like new condition for a 4 year old car. I drove it and loved it. I put a deposit down and had a gentlemens agreement to touch up a couple of rock chips. I came back the next day and you could not even see where the rock chips were. Omeid got me financing and an extended warranty at great rates. I am always worried about buying a used car "as is". Well Omeid took the VIN and got me a vehicle repair history from Lexus. I wanted to make sure it did not have a bunch of warranty work. I then found out it was originally purchased new at Magnussens Lexus of Fremont. So I called my service consultant for my other lexus and had her give me the complete detailed report with service history of every oil change and scheduled mainenance. She even told me how much life was on the brakes, tires and the mileage and cost of the next service the car needed. I was a happy camper to know I bought an auction car (lease return) from K&F that was originally purchased and maintained at my local Lexus dealer and I purchased it for probably $5-$8K less than if that same car was sold at the dealer. The last thing I needed was an extra remote key. Those are expensive. Omeid hooked me up and got me a super discount on the spare key. He went to Lexus bought it and had it ready for me to pick up. Before, i would never consider buying from a used car lot because I don't like to haggle with persistent sales people, but decided to check this place out which advertised a luxury SUV at a fair price. This was the easiest low pressure, good buy car experience ever. I now own a terrific car and the whole process was so easy. I made an appt to drive the car, no pressure, called with a price and negotiated. Drove it again, they helped finance with a better rate than my credit union and even fixed the navigation before I picked it up. This was a totally differen t experience than the dealership. I would definitely recommend purchasing a car from K&F. My husband and I purchased our minivan from this family own business and I don't have anything but good things to say about Omied and his father. Before we decided to go and buy the car, I wrote several questions to Omied and he answered all my emails fast and was very professional. At the time of purchase, they told us our van was bought in an auction, which it was not a big deal for us as long as the vehicle was in good condition. This is my first review on Yelp because of the experience I had with Omied, he raised the customer service bar for all car shops to follow. I had been browsing for a car for six months when I noticed K and F, they had a higher end car I was looking for at a very reasonable price. I made the trip down to south Sunnyvale to take a look, Omied greeted me quickly and provided a CarFax report almost immediately. During the test drive I mentioned the shaky brakes and missing hi-beam headlight, before I had signed any contracts or committed to purchase he had the brakes, rotors and headlight replaced. I arranged for a mechanic to look at the car and Omied dropped off the car to the mechanic and picked it up after inspection so I didn't have to make the trip down to south bay again. The car passed the inspection wonderfully. He made no pushy comments during the purchase process and allowed me to take my time in reviewing all the documents, at no time did I feel like he wanted to get the car and me out the door. He went through all the paperwork carefully and made 2 promises as I was driving off the lot 1) he would provide a Navigation DVD and 2) if the DMV registration was less than what he estimated he would send me a check for the difference. I did have to make a trip to the DMV to get the car's VIN verified so he could complete the registration (took 45 minutes) and I did have to make a few reminders (every email sent was replied to very quickly) for the DVD, and for the registration estimate difference but both promises were fulfilled and this was after I had signed everything and it would have been easy for him to forget about it and not have to deal with it.
