Broke and window and was not sure if the design could be replicated because I never seen a window with it before. I did not realize how complex the design was. Fortunately, we found JWG. They told us that they could replicate the windowwand make it better. They informed us that they could use glass that is noise suppressant, and keep in cool air. Alex and Ricky installed the window and did a great job. The installation was not the only thing they were concerned with, they ensured we were educated on the functionality of the window, and they did a great job of cleaning up where they worked. We had the heavily advertised company (Anderson) give us a written proposal for 11 windows and a patio door. Then we checked the BBB for a local A-rated firm and found JWG in Poway. Doug came to our home on schedule and gave us a proposal that was 1/3 the price of the national company. Their installers work for the company for many years and did a perfect job for us. We had them come back and do four more windows (that's the whole house). As a former planning commissioner my suggestion for a major purchase is to get two written proposals, check their BBB record, and don't sign anything until you have discussed it with your family. Twenty-six (26) windows and three (3) doors. We got casement, picture. pass-though & sliding windows, french doors and a sliding glass door with a doggie door built in and more. My understanding is that makes us a fairly large job. We were replacing the original 1979 installed windows, many of which no longer opened and you could feel the loss of heat/cool through the single pane glass. We worked primarily with Mason, but we also did meet Jason, the owner. At one point we were trying to decide between two different Anlin designs and we were at their office. The Anlin representative, who happened to be there sent us home with samples of each window to set up in our home and compare. As you might imagine with that many windows we shopped extensively. We looked at every type of material, multiple brands and installers. Mason was good about doing several recalculations for different materials and colors. In the end, we move forward with JWG with confidence. Our decision was made on reputation, warranty, and value. Our research showed us that Anlin was definitely a manufaturer we could count on and JWG was the best option. Our install took two days (I believe most take only one). The crew arrived moved the furniture, put down tarps and before we knew it, the old windows were out and the new ones were in. Then the finish work begins. Becasue we have wood framing around each window, they trim the vinyl carefully so that the window fits perfectly inside the frame. In the interior of the house they trimed up every window making it look fantastic. The crew was friendly and efficient. They were polite and clean. They communicated well with us during the job. As for timeline, we all know that supply chains are slower than normal for a variety of reasons. The timeline Mason quoted us was similar to all of the window companies. The timeline promised was exactly what we got. We wholeheartedly endorse JWG windows. read more
