After getting a quote for $30k to replace our windows and 3 sliding glass doors, I started looking at other options. We had a dual paned window that was clouded on one side only, but we knew our HOA wouldn't be happy about it. We also had 3 enormous sliding glass doors that were impossible for a normal human to open. One of them screamed like someone was being murdered every time we opened it. And I was pretty sure my neighbors were gathering up a posse to take me in for a noise complaint. But I digress. For less than the coat of a brand new slider, Seabreeze replaces the clouded window and replaced all the wheels on our sliders. Not only do they open and close like butter, they are silent. Two different experiences. First experience was terrific, easy estimate, pleasant knowledgeable tech staff, very satisfied. Three months later I tried them again in a new home. Estimate went fine, agreed to proceed on a new shower door. More than two weeks later I called to get an update on installation. No date was set but "soon" was the basic answer. My next call established a date for install. On the following call I was told one of the techs had back issues and we had to delay. A few days later I called again and learned he was still out with his injury. That was our last communication. The business phone had a full voice mail and after several more attempts to reach Sea Breeze, I finally was able to leave a message that If I didn't hear back that week I'd need to move on. No further communication, very strange. I selected San Diego's Famous Shower Doors to do my job. They were terrific in every way--price, service, timeliness. I highly recommend them. read more

Had three estimates for window replacement for a total of 11 windows done. All three estimates were within a couple hundred dollars of each other. Sea Breeze Glass is a Poway company and I wanted to support them even though their estimate was the middle price estimate. Scheduled measurements to be taken and went with a 70 rating glass. Unfortunately when the first batch of windows came in, none of the windows fit. This was really frustrating. Rachel did her best to make things right and we did receive some of the windows (approximately 4 windows) within a week or so. After a couple more weeks the remaining windows and a special order half-moon type window arrived and were installed. The final installation was professional and quick. Rachel gave us 15% off on the materials which knocked off $365 dollars. I felt this was a very fair and generous gesture on their part. I would recommend Sea Breeze to anyone considering window replacement. read more

This is the secret that window companies don't want you to know about. We live in an HOA with windows that are architecturally unsound, as they consist of a group of large panes canted at ~50 degree angle into the roof, and joined with a vertical group of small panes at the wall. (University Canyon, you know what I mean.) The glass is single-paned, fragile, and prone to leaks. These guys will fix JUST the broken window pane, so instead of $1,600, it's just over $160. And it takes less than a week -- not 30+days -- for them to come out and do the work! They will give you an hour window (not four), show within the window (but earlier than the last 5 minutes), and they complete the work in less time than a Seinfeld episode. I would totally call them again, no question. They are in my phone contact list. read more

The initially booked me a week out for a consultation, but when I said I wanted it sooner, they promised to look for a cancellation. They lived up that and actually came out to measure and quote the very next day. They were the most professional out of the 4 glass companies that gave me bids, and also came in with an incredibly reasonable price. They also accommodated multiple changes to the original design and came out an additional time to re-measure based on the hardware we wanted. They were very realistic about when the glass would ship (basically to the day) and there was an additional delay due to COVID exposure/illness on their end. So it did take over a month for the project to complete. However, they were able to get me scheduled and the installation went off very smoothly. We initially went to this business to replace a broken window, we had two broken windows. We called and got an estimate. The next day we went to get the glass we had to wait three hours because they didn't know where their glass cutter was. We finally got the glass wrapped in cardboard very nicely. The second time we went their to replace the other broken window, about a week later, we went to pick it up and we were told by a blonde lady that they never wrap glass or put it in cardboard unless it's a pattern?? I told her last time they did. She said she didn't know when last time was but they don't do that. Last time was about a week ago. She seemed rude and unhelpful to us. We will not be going back to the business and we do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated decently. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Sea Breeze Glass. Our shower door randomly exploded in the middle of the night (not installed by Sea Breeze). At 9 months pregnant with a dog and toddler I was pretty eager to get help. Sea Breeze was able to get a crew out to clean up that day and get me an estimate for replacement. AMAZING! They switched shower glass door manufacturers in between the estimate and install so it took an extra week or so, but they were transparent about it and gave me updates and still installed earlier than we'd been quoted elsewhere. Excellent and friendly customer service. The wind knocked over my large lantern and broke three glass panels. I called, they told me just bring in the lantern and one of the glass panels they can fix it. $10 they cut new glass panels and even installed for me.
