My contractor arranged for ABC to install my shower enclosure and a mirror inset into my shaker door panel. I have to say that ABC was the best trade of my whole project. The mirror fits perfectly, and the shower door swings both in and out. Since it is a steam shower, I also needed a working transom to allow the shower to dry between uses, but hold the steam in for sauna use. The installers took their time installing so that it fits perfectly with no leaks. The glass is thick and the chrome brackets & handle are high quality, leaving my bath remodel very luxurious. 10 out of 10 recommend them! read more

This was an unprofessional experience that wasted my time. I needed nine windows replaced and provided detailed measurements and photos via email. They insisted on visiting to take measurements, which I understood. Since these are vacation rentals about 30 minutes from my home, I scheduled a visit between 12:00 and 12:30, with clear instructions that their technician would not wait past that time. I arrived prepared, but no one showed up. When I called, I was told the office was supposed to call to reschedule, but I never received any call. After explaining this to the technician, he agreed to come, although he was still over an hour late. He spent just over half an hour taking measurements. More than a week later, I received an email from Roberto stating they did not have the manpower to complete the job in a timely manner. This is a very poor way to conduct business. My landlord outsourced this company to cut and instal four window in a 3x3 old front door. The house was built in the 1940's and the door is original. The team came out and took measurement which was very fast and before our planned date to come instal the four small windows and tighten the wood their receptionist called letting me know they were in our area if we were available, which I was!. ABC Glass installed a glass panel in a newly remodeled shower and a new bathroom mirror. The whole process was pretty easy. Everyone I dealt with was professional, pleasant and I felt comfortable having Roberto and the installers in my house. Everyone seemed like they wanted to to a good job...and they did. The glass shower panel looks fantastic as does the mirror. The old mirror was a square in a space that wasn't square and it didn't look good. The new mirror was sized to actually fit the space and it looks great. I wish I could give this business 5 stars. My tile contractor recommended them and after this last experience I am going to call him and suggest maybe recommending another business to his customers. I had used them once before when ordering a glass panel for my new shower. The price was competitive but after install I noticed that whenever I used the shower a long track mark appeared on the glass (it looked like tape residue). When I called to ask about it, the lady at the front desk said all tempered glass has those kind of imperfections when heated by the shower. I asked why they didn't tell me that when I bought it and they actually said, "because then you wouldn't want to buy it." I am not making this up! But I decided, fine, not that serious. This last time I used them was to repair a broken window. Thankfully, only the slider side was broken (more on this later). The lady on the phone quoted me a price of $90-$110 when I asked what the ball park cost would be after I gave her the measurements. I thought that sounded more than fair. Especially considering I priced a whole new window off the shelf at Home-depot for $114. But I didn't want to have to take out ther old frame and do the install (at the time it didn't occur to me I could just buy the new window and pop out the new slider only side and pop it into the old frame--always helpful to have an uncle who know what he's doing). Incidentally, I think a more honest business would have told me to do this, especially since we are only talking about them losing $100 in business (and I was a previous customer). In any event, they came out and took measurements and then didn't call me back to let me know they'd ordered the window, even though the guy doing the measurement told me they would. The timing wouldn't have been an issue but It has been very cold at night and I needed to fix the window ASAP. Again, why three different people didn't just advise me to do what my uncle advised is beyond me. To make $90 and lose a customer!? When I finally called them a day later, the lady on the phone says it will be $110 for glass + $90 for labor. Huh!? Why didn't you tell me that when I called the first time, I asked? For that price, I'd rather just buy a whole new window at Home Depot and actually install it myself ($114 total). Long story short, she sent me a lengthy email saying they DID TELL me the price didn't include $90 for labor and essentially I should have known the price included labor because I ordered from them before. I asked for the owner to reach out to me, which he didn't. I actually understand the price and that they need to make money, but not fine with calling me a liar and then not even bothering to return my call. Unfortunately, this is potentially the kind of treatment you get when supporting a small businesses. Never this business again. And luckily my uncle told me I could just buy the new window from HD and pop out the new slider from new window and pop it into old frame. It took me less than 10 seconds. It's been one year and 3 months since this company Installed my glass shower: they used Silicone sealant around the edges come to find out my shower is already leaking. This led to water leaking through base board and down to my bathroom downstairs. They were called by my contractor to come out and possibly fix it which is a minor and simple issue but they wanted to CHARGE me instead. over 6 months post-installation of my shower door and I can say i'm still very pleased. My contractor mentioned ABC glass after my shower retile. I admit I was a little hesitant to go with this company given some of the complaints about customer service. However, my experience was quite good and I have even recommended them to a friend. On my first call, the lady who answered was pleasant and scheduled me a week out for someone to come out to give me an estimate. On the day of the visit, i was kept up-to-date on the estimator's arrival. I chatted with the estimator to let him know my preferences for my shower door and then he proceeded to take measurements which didn't take long. My door arrived in a couple of weeks. Installation took a couple of hours and was without any problems. When completed, the installers went over a couple of handy tips about the new door which I appreciated. Couldn't be more thrilled. Got my shower doors installed last week and they are beautiful. Antonio and Ivan worked the job into my schedule through my contractor, Matt Coder, and even though I was told it would be about 3-4 hours I believe they completed it in about 2. They left my place super clean after and couldn't have been nicer. The cost is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and I didn't want to pay for cheap glass sliders or, worse, do a shower rod and curtain (blech). We recently enclosed our walk-in shower with glass. We received 3 quotes from highly recommended glass installers. ABC was one of the 3. The glass panels and hardware were all exactly the same and ABC's quote was hands down the best. They are a small company with a big heart and they called us about the timing of the install, and weekly to keep us informed. I'd say it took 4 weeks to get the glass and hardware along with the time to install it. Our tub slider glass exploded in the middle of the night so called them, the measurer was the best I've seen, he made a detailed drawing in his binder with exacting measurements, got a peek when he was flipping through the pages, you could frame his designs and use them for art! Stunning. We wanted the narrow reed glass with satin nickel frameless, more than $1100 at competitors such as Discount glass (mis-named, lol) when I got other quotes. Here at ABC I think it was less than $750 installed.. including removing old door and meticulously removing the 40 year old caulk and glue. No complaints here at all, just smiles and yeses! They even offered a door 3" higher for the same price. When I told Elisabeth my nieces were coming on a certain date, she made it happen even though they were booked that day. Wow. This is a mom-and-Pop shop the local contractors use.. for a reason. Because the are reliable, and ABC makes the contractor's jobs look good. I first used them more than 20 years ago, installing a bright brass with clear glass corner shower to match a brass sink. Never had a problem with that door in the years I lived there. Not to get involved in previous customer's reviews, but one below is misguided. He complained about the minimum labor of $90 to install glass into an old frame. His uncle said he could have bought a whole new window off the shelf at home Depot and "popped it in" for less money. Sorry but no. The in-stock windows are new construction without the retro-fit Z-bar to seal the outside. The depot window is guaranteed not to fit and guaranteed to leak. I sold windows for years, would estimate a custom retro-fit window installed to be at least $500. He got his glass installed for $110 materials and $90 labor, he got the best deal in town here at ABC Glass. Once I called in on my recent job, Elisabeth was off, didn't matter, the gal who answered knew everything about my job and didn't miss a beat What a team. It had been so long since I used ABC that I forgot, and called another well known glass place first, went there, picked out my door, rep said she would call with a price that day, didn't call me back for 8 days. Not here, calls always returned right away. I wish i would have thought of ABC GLASS to install my house full of retrofit vinyl windows, it was a 4 month long ordeal with Dixieline, who forgot me 3 times during the project.
