Had multiple estimates for 3 custom sized picture windows to replace. They were on the more reasonable side price wise, great pre-sales. Installation went fine for the windows themselves, and the glass was sparkling clean at the end. In itself this was a 5 star experience. Very happy with the windows. However, at my request, for also a very reasonable price, the installers put in over this my existing leaded glass inserts. They didn't bother to clean them well, so they put dirty glass over clean glass permanently and it can't be cleaned now. I asked and they said to remove them would break them. So 4 stars. I would definitely use them again, but as with all work, with anyone, one must watch every aspect of it. read more

I recently replaced two original 1970's exterior doors and the drafty front door of my home. I ordered two paint grade steel doors and a craftsman-quality oak front door with beautiful side lights and upper door lights. The front door was more beautiful than I imagined it could be. I've used Yelp for over a decade and this is the first time I've felt really compelled to leave a review (and it's only my second one ever). Nick was our salesperson and he was affable, knowledgeable and completely no pressure. We interviewed one other company and were going to interview a few more, but we felt so good with Nick (and JWG's positive Yelp reviews), that we cancelled the other interviews and went with JWG. We had A LOT of windows to do (27 in total) and I was a little worried it would take several days to do the install and that there would be all sorts of issues (and up-sells). But no worries needed. With the rain in the forecast for yesterday, JWG sent out THREE CREWS on Tuesday in anticipation of the rain and proactively wanted to make sure that all the outsides were secure. I've never seen a more efficient and happy work crew, all yukking it up and having a blast and being proud of their workmanship. They put the windows in and secured them all and were done by 3pm the first day. Day two comes around yesterday and it was dumping rain but that was no bother. They finished all the insides of all the windows and were again done by 3pm. Incredible! And to the windows themselves, we LOVE them. Our house is staying warmer (and will stay cooler in the summer), and some distant street noise we could hear from our master is a thing of the past. The house is so quiet it's fantastic. We thought from before the work began, from probably the day Mason came by to give us an estimate, that this job could not be in better hands. We were never disappointed, we were fortunate to have chosen JWG to replace the windows in our home. The work was accomplished May 17-18, 2021. Regarding Mason; his personality is welcoming and agreeable, he's knowledgeable about the product and, we've since learned, has the same door he sold us installed in his home. He came out and assisted the crew with the installation as well. He didn't have to, Nembutal perhaps knowing how much there was to do, wanted to be in on it. Mason is also very responsive to texts and to phone calls. Two teams came out on the first day to handle removal of old windows and new installations... this was for 20+ windows and a door. They were well organized. The workflow was managed by a foreman. Everyone always had some fob or support job to do. Drops were placed down in areas where they needed to walk. The crew was fast and efficient. All of the windows were replaced on the first day. The finishing, interior work was done on the second day. The entire crew was very respectful of our home and to us. A small scratch was noticed on one of the windows by one of the workers. We were notified right away and a replacement panel was ordered and has since been installed. One worker did stand out. After getting five quotes, I'm so glad we chose JWG Windows & Doors to replace our eight windows and four sliding doors with Anlin products at our home. Their quote was very reasonable for this size of a job. Jason, the owner, was my contact and he is so nice, easy to talk to and laid back. He had so much patience with me as I originally wanted to replace all my sliding doors with French doors and had considered changing one door to a window and resizing a bathroom window. After much deliberation, I decided I would not do any resizing and stick with sliding doors as I didn't want the extra space required, no screens, and no ability to easily crack open French doors to work with our whole house fan. After roughly 1.5 months, everything was received at their warehouse and the installation date was scheduled. This was two days since it was a large job. A HUGE shout out to Alex and Rome's crew for their installation skills! They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in the two days as promised. These guys worked like a well-oiled machine to demo out the old and install all the new ones. They were extremely respectful and neat and they had a great attitude while they did their work. Great company with great people. We wanted to update our old bedroom doors that lead out to a balcony, so called JWG. Tony from JWG came out, did explained the options and pros and cons of French vs. Sliding vs. French Sliding (a real thing). He was thorough, professional and friendly. The prices were very good, especially when compared to companies and given the fact everything seems to have gone up recently. As it turned out, the Termite guy came next day and we have a huge issue, so we won't be replacing the doors any time soon. But I wanted to thank JWG. I am going to give you two versions on my review. 1. The short version is these guys are absolutely phenomenal and I cannot give a stronger personal recommendation for window installation. I interviewed five different installers before I went with JWG. Best decision I have ever made. 2. The long version is this; Nick did not sell me, from the minute I met him and shook his hand he earned my trust and confidence. Their product sold me. Nick is absolutely the best I told him I was interviewing three other companies and I would get back to him, he left me alone, did not pressure me and I called him back with additional questions. They covered my entire floor and there was not a speck of dust remaining after they took two days to install 31 windows. They are professional, and extremely efficient. It is amazing how much quieter my home is and the original windows were 20 years old so when I would wake up every morning it would be about 62° in my house, since they install it has been 67° every morning. We recently completed an entire house remodel and used JWG to supply all the windows and sliding doors. We went with the Anlin Bayview Series which were a good compromise for cost and quality. Mason was great to deal with and when one of the windows was damaged by the general contractors he stepped in to make sure it was repaired. Mason also suggested a style of window which really worked well for the application where a smaller single hung window is located at the the bottom. This style allowed for a big picture window while leaving the option to open the lower for ventilation. We were very happy with JWG and Mason and highly recommend them. They look great! read more

We were tired of our windows leaking each time we had heavy rain so my husband reached out to JWG Windows & Doors about looking at our current windows to see if they can reseal or weatherproof it. Mason and his team went above and beyond for my dream door. I have two big dogs and got a slider with dog door cut out to replace the old French doors. A slider worked better for the area as a space saver. I'm VERY ocd about lines fitting in place, and the first doors that got installed had a dog door that fit just outside the "grid" rather than an intentional "inside the grid". However, Mason wanted to make it right, and made the new door happen. He comped the labor for a new door install and the door company Anlin also comped the new door. He was very helpful and even told me that my garage window (strange I know) wasn't locking properly. Excelllent service. We had about 15 windows replaced by JWG. They sent two crews for the job and were done in half a day. The price was great and what's more important, they actively worked with me on the project. E.g. when I noticed that one of the finished windows looked like it was crooked they reset the frame and moved it over until I was satisfied. On their own volition they also pointed out a defect in one of the glass panes and contacted the manufacturer to have it resolved. With so many questionable contractors in the San Diego area, I am happy that JWG is one of the good ones! read more
