I have 2 other people in my party . it was about 10 am and Just Breakfast popped up. it has 4+ stars to it and here we go from Santa Cruz to San Jose. one person in my party lives in Tracy and I from Watsonville. Just Breakfast did not disappoint. the food was delicious, we were waited on quickly, food was hot. Our waitress had personality. I dropped in to try out Just Breakfast on Friday and had a very good meal. Egg White Omelette was perfect and had a side of fruit.

Ordered an omelet with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, sausage, and cheese. Got a bill for $31.xx. wow, I questioned the cost after seeing that the supreme omelet has about all then same stuff and even more. for $17.49 The gal added 3.99 for sausage. 1.49 for onions, another $1.49 for bell peppers. So basically added $7.00. all the same items in the supreme omelet. I was told, " next time you should order the supreme omelet" I said there will be no next time. To top it off, the omelet was mush. Too bad this place used to make good omelets. . another one bites the dust. anybody can make pancakes. I know this is not the Four seasons, but don't hose me that that. read more

Just as Cheers was the place where "everybody knows your name", Just Breakfasts is the place where every one of the waitstaff is friendly and helpful. Don't expect linen tablecloths or polished silver, as this is just a little corner shop, but do expect excellence in service and meals. I have never had a bad bite, and my spouse and I go at least once or twise a month. All food is cooked to perfection, in real butter, and tastes delicious. I can't speak highly enough about Just Breakfasts. My fave is their Senior breakfast with scrambled egg, yummy pork sausage and a pancake. This is long overdue! I have been eating here for a good 18 years. My family and I usually have breakfast on Sunday here. The biscuits with gravy and my extra crispy bacon are one of a kind here! Alcina the waitress usually takes care of us, she remembers what we like and is attentive. Very warm and welcoming. The Ambiance is like waking up in the country. You walk in to be greeted by the most beautiful smile. Alcina was my hostess and server. Her soul and energy is just amazing. The place was extremely clean and smelled delicious. Alcina was so attentive, I am on a special diet and she didn't hesitate to offer suggestions and compose a meal just for me. I've gotten takeout from this place twice during this pandemic, both was for a breakfast. The first time I got the Acapulco omelette with a side of hash browns. It was absolutely delicious. The omelette was smothered in the sauce and the side of hash browns, the tortilla, and the sauce were great compliments. In fact, I would go and say that their Acapulco omelette is easily top 3 when it comes to the best breakfasts I've ever had. The second time I got takeout from them, I got the huevos rancheros with tortillas and refried beans on the side. I got the eggs over-easy, and they were smothered in sauce. Now, the huevos rancheros were very good, but they were messy since I had to get them to go and they were in the styrofoam container. We're in the middle of the pandemic as I am typing this up, so there isn't much I could do about it, but I'm sure the huevos rancheros would be better on a plate than from a styrofoam container. Unfortunately, the huevos rancheros do fall short of the best huevos rancheros as well as the Acapulco omelette, but I will be back to try more breakfast options from Just Breakfast! read more

I liked the staff's upbeat and friendly nature but what I love was their biscuits and gravy. It's not uncommon for restaurants to serve biscuits and gravy but it's rare to find a restaurant that served it right - moist from the first bite to the last bite. What's funny was that I ordered an egg white omelette (spinach, mushroom, and cheese) w/ hash browns trying to be healthy but when I saw a plate of biscuits and gravy being brought out to a table nearby, I knew I had to order that as my side even though I knew I should have ordered whole wheat toast. It's Saturday morning around 9 am. I had window tint installed on my car and needed a breakfast spot walking distance. Just Breakfast was the place that popped up on Yelp. Right away the staff was very friendly and attentive. I could hear the staff member speak to customers by name which is a plus in my book. The interior is an older style breakfast diner spot which I also enjoyed. I ordered the supreme 3-egg omelette with a side of biscuits and gravy. The hash brown was perfectly crisp but I had issues with the cold gravy and pieces of egg shells in my omelette and it was a bit on the runny side. I've worked at a restaurant before and have cracked hundreds of eggs. So... Of course there are chances of egg shells so not a huge deal. I finished the meal and paid the check. I then let the staff know and they apologized. No biggie. Overall good experience. read more

I have drive past this place COUNTLESS times on my way to school when I was a kid, on my way to work growing up, and on random drives down Monterey. Finally, at 26 years old, I have decided, I am going to give this place a shot. Upon stepping into the place, a very home-away-from-home feeling came over me. It was really nice. Once seated, I took a look around and noticed all the roosters. It was funny! Their is also a breakfast bar that looks like something out of a sitcom where some long time friends would hang out. The menu has plenty to offer and I chose, the chicken fried steak with a side of potatoes and wheat toast. The service was actually really good! Our waitress was an older asian woman and she was REALLY busy helping out several tables. She did eventually come to my table and was straightforward about how busy she was. I actually completely understand that. She was really sweet. Got my order right and because it was busy, and she wasn't able to be there for us as much, gave us some free extra toast. The toast was really good by the way! My chicken fried steak was also quite good! For the price, I got a good sized iece of chicken with a generous amount of rosemary potatoes for the side. I should know what to expect when eating on Monterey Road. The places are a little ghetto when it comes to area, quality of food and service. Came here on a Tuesday. I ordered very simple soft scrambled eggs, sausage and wheat toast. Simple right? Wrong! The place was empty and it took 25min to get eggs and toast. When my order finally came, it was messed up. Eggs were over-cooked, and they gave me sourdough toast. Not a big deal, but when you expect poor service and you get it, it's that much worse. read more
