Tried out Jus' Mac for the first time in over 7 years and was pleasantly surprised. We were told that the location would be closing this September 2026, so if you've been wanting to try it now's your chance! We ordered the Tikka (1/2), Prisket (1/2), and hamburger (1) Mac's. All were delicious and full of flavor. Both the Tikka and Prisket were the best ones that offered the most flavor of the three. While the hamburger was good, it didn't taste like anything special. The tikka was spicy! Just fyi haha. However, it was so full of flavor I would definitely order it again! Super cheesy, soft shells, and overall a comfort meal! The location was small but decent size to house multiple parties. Booth options as well as tables. A bar to order drinks, and their own private parking lot located next door. Outdoor seating was also available if you're with any furry friends! Overall very yummy, and such a shame they're closing due to lack of interest from the public! The parking situation is a bit annoying, but that is Houston for you. The place itself reminds me of my grandma's house. Pretty cozy. The service is good. The food is alright. Mac balls- 7/10. Would like a little bit more seasoning because right now it's pretty bland dipped in with the tomato sauce. Crunch is great; falls apart easily. Half baked mac- 7.3/10. They got potato chunks so that's fun. I mean it's just a baked potato with all the extra bits combined with some mac & cheese. Nothing really special. It tastes like how it sounds. Cheese and Chong- 6.7/10. Surprisingly very floral taste. It's like when you drink jasmine tea and there is that strong floral smell. The chicken bits in the mac need to have some seasoning or something because it's just boiled and it does not go well with the cheese and pesto flavor. Overall, not a bad spot. If you love mac and cheese then this is the place for you because these concoctions are CRAAAAZY. Absolutely massive portions and a lot of fun flavors. We tried three different ones. First the ponchovilla which was kinda like a taco salad but with mac and cheese of course, and it was really good. Second was the Cheese and Chong which was chicken pesto vibes and I thought it was alright. But third was the Tikka which had chicken tikka masala on top and y'all know I love my Indian food so this was an absolute hit! read more

Came to JusMac on a whim wanted to try something new. Walked to the order counter and was not greeted yet I was asked "are you picking up?" I said no. She never said Hello or welcome. Ordered my wings (5 piece for $8) small Mac ($11) and a root beer ($4.25) for dine in and sat down. That was an awkward interaction for sure. Took about 15-20 minutes to get my food that came in to-go containers while the people next me got the food they ordered in dishes. I stated to the lady that this was for dine in and she responded with "oh well he put it in this" referring to the chef I assume. She even doubled back and put a bag on the table for me to pack up. The absolute WORST dining experience I have had in a very long time.... We used to love coming here. We were visiting and just ate there and it was absolutely horrendous. The food was so bland and served cold. The service was the worst service I have ever experienced. The lady put her fingers in our drinks and into the sauce when she went to serve it. She had an absolutely awful attitude towards us as well. She was also dusting off the chairs and booths with the broom she was sweeping the floor with. She never checked on us, was friendly (to any capacity), huffed and rolled her eyes when we asked for refills. I am absolutely shocked truly! We enjoyed our meal at Jus Mac. We got the All American Mac and it is everything you would want out of a classic Mac and Cheese. It was oddly quiet when we went but that wouldn't stop us from coming back. I dined in with some friends on my first visit here and loved the experience. Service was great, everything was fresh, and you could tell how good the quality of the food was. The thing is though, you gotta be careful with your choices. I got the PITMASTER, and as a bbq lover, it was better than anything I expected out of this place. It was delicious, flavorful and a great combination! I was so happy with my experience! However, my friend got the RUSTIC and said it bored her lol you really have to be careful because this place is kinda hit or miss with the mac and cheese flavors. Also, I would recommend getting the 1/2lb serving, unless you're a mac and cheese fanatic. I could only eat half of the 1lb serving and had to take the rest home. A friend got the boneless wings and made me jealous I didn't get some for myself. It had a great, crunchy breading despite being covered in sauce. They were also LARGE! Bigger than any boneless wings I've seen anywhere! Definitely worth trying if you dine in. I came back to try the regular wings since the boneless were so good. Unfortunately, I got the wings to-go on my next visit and they were very disappointing. They packed them in an aluminum container, so I think they kept cooking during my 20 minute drive home. By the time I got to eat them, they were over cooked and dry. I don't even remember what they tasted like because I forced myself to finish them. I really don't know why they would use aluminum packaging for wings, but I'm convinced that's the only reason my wings were bad. I'm willing to give them another shot dining in since the fresh boneless wings were fantastic! But be warned if you get the wings to go. read more

First time trying this place out. Not bad. I ordered the Chili Mac. I would like to have had more Fritos added (the descriptions say they add Fritos) but there wasn't much. I also ordered the side salad. Description said tomatoes and cucumbers. NO cucumbers at all, just lettuce and tomatoes. I asked for ranch salad dressing on the side, no salad dressing at all was included. Lettuce and tomato salad isn't good without salad dressing. I got more lettuce than I did Chili Mac. They also have small single serving bottles of wine for purchase. I ordered the chicken and waffles mac & cheese with spicy honey. Fabulous. And my friend got the half baked mac & cheese which I'm told was good. We both also ordered slices of the chocolate cake. This batch was a slight disappointment because the cake wasn't soft and moist as last time. Overall, this meal hit the spot to get me through the rest of the day. I have been going to Just Mac in the Heights for several years and the quality of the food has not changed. It is very good. The only thing that has changed is the interior ambiance, it is kinda boring. There use to be music playing, tv on the wall and a huge menu on the wall. No problem for some, but weird that they won't take legal tender at a business establishment. Lastly, if you order online, they automatically will grat you 15% for a tip.
