I was looking for some sea food and I did not want to cook it myself. I was surprised to learn that this restaurant was a few blocks from where I lived. After reading the reviews about the long wait for food I decided to call before I arrived to see if they were busy. Since they weren't I decided to go after work. When I arrived no one was there. I placed my order (steamed snapper with cauliflower and pumpkin and a shrimp and chip box). It took 20 minutes. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. The shrimp and chips were perfectly cooked and delicious. Well seasoned, not salty, just completely delicious. I purchased the snapper for lunch the following day. It was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. I almost ate half before I remembered to put it away. One of the reviews spoke of the garlic sauce being crack. IT TOTALLY IS. I will warn you about the hot sauce. It is hot so be careful. I hope this restaurant stays open for a long time. The food is well worth the wait. read more

The fish dishes here are really good and the prices are great. You will be very happy when you dig into this! They also stay open late and deliver. Portions are generous. I love the red snapper with cabbage and sweet potato. The staff however, is very rude. read more

I had the steamed tilapia with sweet potato & corn. The fish was fresh & delicious in a light, simple buttery sauce that complimented everything. The garlic sauce was very tasty & recommended. I'll be back for sure! PS, you'd better really like spicy if you try the hot sauce. Shit is serious. read more

I came here today for the first time and I will start off by saying I should've walked away when I came Into the restaurant and nobody was there to take my order. After waiting nearly 5 minutes a young lady came out of the kitchen - I voiced my concern about customer service; but she paid me no mind. Reluctantly I ordered steamed salmon with potatoes, broccoli, carrots and corn on the cob and my friend got a small corn soup. After waiting 35 minutes ( although there were only 2 other people in the restaurant ) I finally got my food and it tasted BLAND! It was obvious they didn't season it (maybe it was on purpose because I gave some feedback ) I even tried calling 4 times to resolve this issue before writing this review and no one ever picked up the phone ( again poor customer service) I'm highly disappointed I love supporting black businesses but I will never come back again. My friend did say she like the corn soup but we will not be visiting again. This was waste of $25 read more

I clearly ordered from yelp and they said my estimated delivery time was 7:45-7:55pm. It's now 8:20pm, and I've been calling since 8pm to speak to someone. I finally get through and I explained that I ordered delivery. The woman on the phone says she doesn't see an order... She refreshes her page and my order comes up. She says it was marked as pick up. I clearly clicked on delivery AND I have an estimated wait time. The lady was rude and she did not seem to even care. I highly suggest they deactivate their "delivery" button because clearly I was able to make a delivery order. Waste of time ! read more

I ordered this food based on the high ratings that I saw online. I ordered the shrimp , potatoes and fried rice. The food came along with two dipping sauces , one was spicy and other was like a sweet garlic mayonnaise . I can say that the food was fresh and the shrimp and potatoes tasted really great . However I wasn't really a fan of the fried . The rice wasn't what I am accustomed to when it comes to eating professionally made fried rice. The rice wasn't completely seasoned and at times it tasted sweet which was unexpected. To be honest the food was okay . After eating it I still felt a bit hungry but I also felt light and energized . I may try this restaurant again , but if I do I will not order the fried rice as a side dish. read more

I've been going to this take-out place ever since it opened. The only reason why I'm not giving it a 5 star is because of service. The food is 5 star across the board. It's a nice healthy alternative take-out restaurant that focuses on seafood cooked by Caribbean folk I usually get the grilled salmon ($12)and my favorite sides are okra, sweet potato, broccoli and cauliflower. They have fish & chips ($8)or jumbo shrimp & chips ($9) with a choice of sweet potato or green plantain. I always get the jumbo shrimp with plantain. Thank me later.... I recently tried the soups ($5/$7)which is amazing! My favorite soup would be the fish broth. They also sell juices and smoothies but I haven't tried as of yet. Lastly, they make their own condiments which is a hot sauce and a cream based tartar sauce which is amazing!! The only thing I would say is the service. It's best to call ahead and put in the order at least 20/30 minutes before you pick it up. Sometimes even when I call ahead, I still have to wait when I get there. They definitely need to work on the logistics because it always seem that they're scrambling when I'm there. Hopefully they get that together because they do make amazing food! read more

Salmon and corn with veggie rice was mouth watering good. Order from here a few times

Yup, just moved to the neighborhood and I have a new favorite spot. That's saying a lot with Burger Meixcano and Midwood Flats to the north and south of this place, but it's true. I've been twice so far. First time I had the fish & chips, and its was great, but then I had the grilled salmon with cabbage & corn..... One of the best pieces of salmon I have ever had. Juicy, flavorful, jus terrific... Strongly recommended eating. read more

I actually know the owner. Sorry it took so long to get in. This is the best $12 I've spent in a long time. Will be back. read more

Had the fried shrimp combo and my husband had fish and chips. Both very good. I hope to try more on the menu but haven't gone back yet. Not a lot of place to eat in, but this is very much a take-out community. Staff is friendly. Do try all the sauces they give you with your meal, they're spicy and tasty all incredibly flavorful and made on premises. read more

I placed a order 30min before going to pickup my food. upon my arrival, 40min later( just to make sure my order would be ready.) I was tolder that they are making my order now. antoher 30 min later i was told that they don't have any Red sanpper, which was no problem went I place my order. This place cares more about Uber eats, Postmates and Grubhub orders that the peple that go out of their way to vsit the establishment. This had me Pissed off. read more

Jus Fishy is delicious and healthy! Such a great place to go in the area I have some feedback (especially to make the wait time more efficient): - move the cash register to the back counter - have one person to take orders and payment, i've seen people rotate and walk around - it's hard to tell who's working there and who's a customer. esp instead of calling people out of the kitchen to take a payment - also have that person work on finishing the preparation of the orders too - print out or write down the order so that it's recorded (every time i've come here they've come out the kitchen to double confirm the order, wastes a lot of time) - sell Jerk Chicken all the time - its soooo good and some of the best - when they make Jerk Chicken, have the guy bring the chicken to the back and finish preparing the meal there- will be more efficient. also if the Jerk Chicken takes orders too it gets really confusing. - get rid of the counter and create more seating space read more

I just received my order and it was NOT what we ordered. It was also missing half the order. Now that we tried to call them and get a refund the number is tied to a fax. The whiting fish we did get was fried, yet dry. It tastes like it's been sitting there for a while. The rice they sent had no flavor and was dry, so was the cabbage. The only good thing about what they sent us were the sweet plantains. Very disappointed and would never recommend. Trying to work with uber eats to communicate with them and get a refund... seeing that they don't want to be reached. read more

To all the wait time complainers -- you see that number up there? Call them & order your food ahead of time. Best food ever!

I had a long painful wait for one little salmon burger. There's only one tiny table that seats 2 in the corner so don't expect to dine in. Call in orders ahead of time and to stick to the regular seafood w/sides that at least reheat better. Don't end up like me with a sandwich soggy from condiments since I couldn't eat right away due to lack of seats. read more

Amazing fresh and delicious seafood. Literally the worst customer service in the neighborhood. They'll have you waiting an hour for one piece of fish. And never give you an update. And give you crazy attitude if you ask what's going on. And that's pretty much guaranteed every time you go there. read more

If you get the chance please go to this place. It is very small so it isn't for eat in dining, but...the fish is SPECTACULAR! Me and my brother ate here and the food was so good we asked for the chef to come out so we could compliment him. My brother had red snapper and I had King fish. Both were grilled to PERFECTION! Two enthusiastic thumbs up! read more

Food was good would def go back nothing special but nothing really bad about the place. One of the items that I bought was fried shark , not a big fan of the batter aside from that everything else was good. Jerk salmon taste great. read more

The food here was absolutely HORRIBLE. Do not waste your hard earned money. I ordered grilled salmon with Mac and cheese and sweet plantain. It was completely bland. How do you mess up Mac and cheese?! There was only cheese on the top layer, the plantain was not ripe and the salmon was not seasoned at all. Plus there was parsley on the Mac and cheese -_-Absolute waste. I will not be going back. read more

This food is right up my ally. Wanted to order in a Saturday night. Did my order through yelp. I had the steamed fish and okra and cabbage. They didn't have the okra (not unlikely for a Caribbean restaurant to run out of something-it's a small price you pay for tasty, fresh food) The fish was amazing, the have me a bit sweat potato they had I needed but that steamed was amazing. That famous garlic sauce is more the Haitian pikliz and it will have you cut your fingers off. They said the order would take 30 mns but it actually took an hour. Didn't mind too much though. They showed just when I was getting ready to settle down to eat. read more

The first time I had Jus Fishy. It was amazing. This last visit was awful. The customer service was very unpleasant. I ordered a shark burger, shark wings, two order of fries & macaroni pie. I arrived an hour after I place an order over the phone. Once I arrived the only portion of my order that I received was the shark burger and the "shark wings". I had to wait for fries because it was not prepared with my entire order. Then, my shark wings were drowned in sauce. I have ordered the shark wings in the past which was extremely juicy and crispy without sauce on it. I explained to the lady that I have never received my Fried shark wings like this and she told me "that's how it comes, if I would like I can pay for new order without sauce." There is no description on the menu that states that it will be tossed in any sauce. In addition, my shark burger did not have any pineapple on it at all which is usually the highlight of my burger. Next, I decided to order a slice of macaroni pie. At the time I asked the woman at the register for an order of "macaroni and cheese" which she explained to me that she did not know what macaroni and cheese is. My boyfriend corrected me and said she would like macaroni pie. And I was then able to get a slice. In all, I come to jus fishy because the food is good but I honestly have no desire to come back due to the poor customer service. read more

Service was awful...they served about 7 people ahead of me cuz I guess they had to defrost shrimp for 40 minutes

Horrible food , service n just overall bad. Waste of time n money. Waited almost 2 hours for the wrong order, dried out n definitely not fresh . Everything sucks ! From the side dishes to the entrees. read more

Loooong wait...terrrrible customer service. Felt like I was annoying them by ordering. Food is so so. Never Again.

Hands down the best Salmon I've had.. ever! Since trying the grilled Salmon I've been hooked. I love the sweet potatoes and corn as sides but have tried almost all the sides and so far so good. For the prices they charge they give a more than reasonable amount of food. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly and works efficiently. If you decide to call and order over the phone, know what you'd like before hand as lines can get busy. The shakes are also great, my favorite is the peanut! There is no seating for eating inside of the restaurant, it is a very small space. Definitely an order and pick up place. When your food is ready they call to let you know which is helpful if you don't want to stand and wait. They also deliver which is great if you don't feel like traveling to pick up. Overall a great new restaurant in the Flatbush area for seafood takeout. read more

Our food took an UNBELIEVABLY long time to come... more than an hour sitting inside this restaurant so no delivery time. By the time it came we were too hungry to care how it tasted. I ate at just Fishy. Last week 4/30/2017 place is small. Food was fresh but it took them a long time to take our second order. I ordered the fried fish (whiting) and mac and cheese for $11. My bf ordered the fish and fries. I must say the mac and cheese wasn't half bad for a West Indian spot. Lol I'm a Yankee..... So I know mac n cheese. I took off a point just bcuz by the time we got home fries were kinda limp and the time it took to place the order. We will definitely go back and try something else if we like it i will give them 4 stars. read more
