It's your standard pinball machine bar in Seattle! I got one of their punches that tasted exactly like those heart lollipops we used to get as kids for Valentine's Day, which means the cherry flavor tasted a little artificial but it was solid nonetheless. The bartender was very efficient, pumping out drinks and keeping things going. It's very loud in there, and there's a corner for drunk karaoke which is always entertaining.

I didn't go here expecting to write a Yelp review about it, but I haven't been out much recently, so I can only share a few details that popped from that night. I went bar hopping for the first time in years, and this is the only bar I really remember. When we entered, there was a room with karaoke on the left, and a bar to the right. The drinks and service were alright, but not special. But you know what was special? The arcade games. Behind the bar seating area, you walk down a little hall and BOOM- a huge room filled with the familiar sounds from childhood of triumph, or failure, as bright screens announced whether you won or lost this round, so, "do you want to insert coins to play again?" I'm not a big gamer but with so much available, and the contagious excitement, I had to join in. The vibe was lively, there was cool art on the walls- I just had a really good time. This is a fun place to go with a group on a Friday night.

Honestly the best bar I've been to. They have street fighter, teenage mutant ninja turtles and a Photo Booth. Everything I need and want :) Next time we will have to try the pizza! We went on Halloween night 2024 and vibes were awesome. It's a bar so of course there will be a few drunk idiots and bartenders with attitude. We had a fun time here and the bartenders know how to make a drink they def do nottt skimp on the alcohol lol ;) I would definitely recommend and return!!!

Heard good things about Jupiter/Good Shape pizza and certainly did not disappoint! Went on a Wednesday evening- it was not packed at all, chill vibes and friendly folks at the counter. Sweet n spicy pizza was top tier with loads of cuppy pepperoni and hot honey. It's definitely a personal sized pizza, about the size of a paper plate. While they had lots of pinball machines, our favorite game to play was digital Pong. They have a few cash machines around to exchange for quarters.

Such a fun nostalgic arcade full of 1990s games. Super fun to go back to my childhood and play ninja turtles, pin ball and other fun games. On the negative, there was a bar but it wasn't open when we were there and there was an unpleasant smell, which reminded me of a frat house. But maybe that is part of the nostalgia for some!

    Pinball punch and raspberry slushie

I came around 10pm on Saturday and it wasn't crowded until after 11. We ordered the raspberry slushie, pinball punch, and a few vodka shots. The slushie and punch were strong! Raspberry slushie: well-blended, doesn't melt fast, good raspberry flavor and alcohol mix Pinball punch: the cherry vodka was very strong, maybe even overpowering. You could compare it to cherry syrupy medicine. I could barely taste the pineapple juice in it. There's many games and a Photo Booth that prints 2 strips for $5, which is a better price than other bars around here that charge $7-10 for 2. The Photo Booth also lets you customizes the background and theme (black & white, valentines, aquarium, etc).

Jupiter bar is nostalgic AF. Friends took me here before and I was excited we ran into it while in Belltown during our visit. We had such a great time that we came back twice! The beers are cheap! Games are cheap! The bartender was cool. I've had nothing but the best times for $5 every time I've come to Jupiter.

I think this is a cool bar and the bar tenders were fine but need to complain because they let a large dog in the main bar area. The bar is not big in the front and when I moved to order a drink the dogs leg was under the bar area (it's dark). So I accidentally stepped on it (briefly) and the dog attacked me and ripped part of my shirt. I got lucky I didn't leave with an injury. I didn't even get a beer comped and the owners and the dog ditched fast. Hey - it's a crowded bar - letting big dogs to the main area is probably not a good idea... there are plenty of breweries and bigger outdoor areas that let dogs in but it's 10 pm... not a good judgement call

Excellent Belltown bar. Plenty of space, good bartender ratio, and clean-ish bathrooms. But the taco bar! Awesome! Not even by drunk food standards, her tacos are crispy and excellent. Careful there are toothpicks that hold them all together. There are 15 signs that tell you so. Excellent to down with cold beer.

This bar has such a fun atmosphere with arcade games and fortune telling machines! Bring cash so you can easily get tokens from their machine. The drinks are very cheap and strong. There's also a vending machine for tarot cards and cigarettes. There's some seating throughout and two bars: one in the arcade room and one in the front separate from the arcade.

HOLY WOW get the breakfast for dinner pizza. i was skeptical but now i am a firm believer. its like a big yummy bagel. with extra char and crisp and cream cheese. get the ranch too even though it sounds weird.... it's very sour creamy.... yummerton.... pair all of this with an awesome and heavily poured old fashioned (i upgraded from their well to Four Roses for a grand total of 14 bucks) and then play 25 rounds of Black Emperor for a dollar. i love u Jupiter

Love how we can have fun playing games, taking pics, choosing a song, and having great conversations in the comfy booths. Service is helpful. One night one of the games ate our quarters up and never worked so we let the bartender know and a few minutes later he gave us our quarters back. Staff is efficient and keeps the bar clean picking up any left behind glasses quickly. The bar is quirky and fun. Private and comfy booths, and lots of clowns everywhere. Sad clowns, happy clowns, creepy clowns, and more clowns than you can count! The bathrooms are unisex with plenty of stickers to look at. Always hand soap and toilet paper available even when busy. Hard working staff! Some areas of the bar like near the bathrooms have flashy lights and makes it feel like you're at the circus. The vibe is laid back and care free. Have yet to try the food so no words on that quite yet! Always a great time at Shorty's. Literally one of my favorite bars! Highly recommend!

Food, drinks and of course a bunch of games to play. Difference here is they seem to host ESports and other games beyond arcade games which is cool. This particular visit was kind of like a Classic play some games and laugh along the way rather than expect to find gem games of days gone by or even present. There is a good assortment of light gun, classic fighters and of course DDR which they were real generous with - 6 credits on a swipe which is like 9 song/sets! There is a bar but it's kind of basic compared to the afformentioned Dave & Busters, which makes that part of their identity. Also the person selling me the game card was fast on talk, and slow on the explanation of how things work which could've been better. It was nearing close so I wasn't going go through the whole rundown. Fun time here if you're looking for something to do in the area, but a Barcade or Dave & Busters will do the job all the same.

Tickets no longer sell out and the exhibitions are not as grand, but lines are much more reasonable. Plus with the completion of the new Summit building, the event was split between the two convention buildings instead of across multiple hotels in Downtown Seattle. Dividing the Expo Hall between Arch and Summit did cause participants inconvenience though. The Summit hosted the majority of the activities like console and tabletop freeplay, panels, and tournaments. The Annex also held a couple of sections. When not wandering around the Expo Halls, I spent the rest of the time in tabletop trying out board games. All in all, PAX is still a good opportunity for folks of shared interests to mingle, demo newly and to-be released games, and partake in trading or purchasing merchandise.
