    Great cocktails

This was my first timee in the Santa Ana Casino. It was clean and did not smell like smoke. It was a Thursday night around 8 so there was plenty of room at the bar. I was greeted and sat immediately. The bartender was polite. I ordered an old fashioned and it was fabulous. I couldn't really decide on a meal. I asked about the Mahi and she said it was one of her favorite dishes. She did not lie. It was a really nice dinner at a reasonable price. The dining room looked nice but I didn't make it in there. Food was good, cocktail was great and the service was great as well. I'd say worth a shot if you are in the area. There is not much else around.

We stayed at the casino for our anniversary and decided to eat here. I'm glad we did I had the ribeye and it was fantastic. Best steak I have had in Albuquerque. I've been to Vernon's and Embers. It had a nice char , was juicy and was cooked perfectly. My wife had the filet and it was also delicious. The lobster Mac n cheese had more lobster than I thought it would and it was also very delicious. Our waiter Ricardo gave us great service and did a great job of explaining the menu. Definitely will be back with more people.

Same ole menu since opening, nothing new, and one would think that the food would be superb by now since its the same menu- cooked to perfection, rather it's ok. There is no strife for being the best, it's a casino. The lobster tail is usually dry, and sometime the steak is perfect. Nonetheless, what does anyone expect...it's "Casino Food" across the board. If you've had casino food at a different location, you're pretty much eating the same stuff here. This place could be better, really. It has so much potential.

I really enjoyed this meal. We had the sashimi as an appetizer. It was amazing. Then we had the prime rib. It was huge and cooked perfectly. Then we had the mashed potatoes and the mac & cheese side. It was so delicious and we have the Keylime pie for dessert. This meal was probably one of the best meals, I've had. One of the top three restaurants I've been to, and the price was good.

    Seared ahi tuna appetizer

Really, really impressed with how good our meal was. We started with the ahi appetizer then I had the filet and my husband had the prime rib. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. The filet had a compound butter with a delicious red wine demi glace. For sides, we shared the mushrooms and brussels sprouts. To finish, we shared a slice of key lime pie. Our waiter, Ricardo, was attentive and added to our overall experience. My only critique was that they do not carry decaf coffee (I cannot have much caffeine due to health issues) as that would have been perfect with my dessert. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back.

Fine restaurant with cozy atmosphere. We ordered Ahi tuna which was delicious. Also got Cesar salad which was okey. Slightly unimpressive Cesar dressing. There was blackened chicken on top which was good flavor. Clam chowder was more like seafood chowder with cream sauce (not red). Would recommend it going there again.

Lamb-- was mouthwateringly tender and good.

We went for our 37th anniversary and we enjoyed the food very much. The service was a little slow but still didn't let it ruin our night.

Great meal. Steak was a wonderful surprise. Service wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. We shared a baked potato and mushrooms.

Went there March 22, 2024. Food and service was spot on. Good prices for a high-end steakhouse. Dining room and bar very classy.

There are covered parking places available in the lot. The staff is well practiced and take care of you throughout the meal. The meal was fabulous. The chef put together a great combination of plates. The appetizer was a soup or salad. Both were excellent and displayed unique touches to enhance the flavors, perfect vinaigrette on the salad. For the main course, I had the sirloin steak, summer vegetables and black beans. The steak was extra tender and a flavorful as a ribeye. The pureed beans acted as a sauce to the steak. The meal also included a bottle of wine. (a white or a red) The red was great with the entire meal. Not quite sure how the white would have stood up to the beef or cioppino. The warm chocolate cake was a fine finish to the meal. The fresh fruit added refreshing flavors, neither too bitter nor too sweet.

FOOD: They gave us a lemongrass mocktail for our anniversary, and it was super refreshing with nice citrus aromatics. Light but has some complex notes plus the citrus rind hits you and invites you to try the drink before you actually drink! Originally offered champagne but we opted for a non-alcoholic option. The bread with house honey butter was good, but nothing special other than the fact that they source their honey from their own bees. The beet "carpaccio" tasted good but was really more of an arugula salad--I wanted more actual beet and grapefruit. The beet is thinly sliced, but because of the sheer volume of the arugula, it feels like the beet takes a backseat. It's a good salad but different than my expectations, not really a carpaccio. Wish there chunks of beet along with thinly sliced beet and more grapefruit Duck taco was pretty good! Duck is juicy and still has some fatty portions but paired will with crisp of taco and the acidity + crisp of the pickled onion. The creamy sauces helped but I wish there was slightly more kick. The bison tenderloin had great flavor (the sweetness and acidity of blueberry worked very well with the butter) but the small portion size really overshadowed the taste. Corn grit and mushrooms were a fine compliment, but not very cohesive. The Cerdo Frito was tasty, and the red chili sauce wasn't too spicy and actually reminded me more of southern Mexican food/sauce (oaxaca). The fried pork was a good amount and if you ate it fast enough, still had some crunch of the fried batter AMBIANCE: Very on theme with the Tamaya/Pueblo culture. Not too stuffy of a "steakhouse" that you have to wear long pants or blazer. Definitely okay for elevated couple dates/dinners, business dinners, and even okay to bring younger families. It was very dark and dimly lit. With some windows that really help lighting. but once the sun sets, it gets pretty dark. SERVICE: Very friendly server (first day), fast pacing--maybe too fast. They cleared plates the moment one of us was done. The kitchen mixed up desserts twice, which was more funny than frustrating, but still a miss. PRICE: Pricey but expected for resort fine dining.
