Stopped by for a quick lunch and was very impressed! Quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were brought out very fast and menu was easy to read. Lunch specials were very reasonable and the entire experience was great! Super chill atmosphere and the food was delicious! Had the hibachi lunch chicken and steak, tried the noodles and rice as well as sushi! All fantastic! Super clean, updated and to round out the experience, there's an awesome Koi pond and water feature with a ton of friendly Koi! We have been coming here for years. Usually get seated quickly. Tonight they were a smidge slammed so had a little bit of a wait. Our favorite waiter (Eric) was working. We absolutely love being seated in his area. He's fun and attentive which adds to the experience of the food. Sushi is delicious. Our usuals are the Hibachi Tuna Tower and the sunrise roll. We've made this place a weekly habit! The sushi is so good here and the hibachi chefs are really fun. There was one (forgot his name) that made an amazing ginger sauce for you, but the other chefs don't offer it. Took my grandkids for dinner thinking they'd enjoy the teppanyaki style service. You can tell the place has been around awhile. First impression is that the place needs a good steam cleaning. The young hosts were wearing black t-shirts. We were seated at one of the teppanyaki tables where we waited about a half hour before the waitress took our order. This was because they wanted to fill more seats. Our chef was entertaining but I didn't appreciate it when he realized he was out of teriyaki sauce and ambled back to the kitchen to refill it leaving our fried rice and noodles to cook on the surface for an additional 5 minutes while he was gone. I ordered hot green tea which came in a beer pint glass of hot water with a couple tea bags, not the traditional little pot of hot tea. Our waitress was very good and the food abundant for the price (especially the kid's menu). The koi pond is cool but the music was techno, not Japanese. My first visit to this restaurant was on May 31, 2025. I was dining alone in the late afternoon and early evening. There is excellent signage out front, and lots of parking. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. There are basically two sections. One for hibachi tableside preparation and the other for more traditional style dining. Because I was dining alone, I went for the traditional side, but sometime in the future, I look forward to seeing the hibachi side and the talented chefs as they work their magic. The menu has many choices. The decor stylish, somewhat dark in color. It gives a place a touch of mystery. I had a hibachi ribeye steak, which comes with vegetables, fried rice, noodles, and some shrimp. There was a delightful, small salad and soup. Every menu item was prepared to perfection. I've been to a number of different hibachi spots in town and this one is cool because the sushi area is separated by a little bridge and a Koi pond. I wouldn't say it was the best you have ever had, but it was good. Service was very friendly. One of the main downers was the front area smelled kind of gross. The ingredients have been fresh, delicious and our rolls well made. We started with the Tuna Tower and added the Mango Lobster Roll, Sunrise Roll and the Fantastic Roll. 1st, I placed an order online at 5:40pm. I recieved a text message confirming my order was recived and would be ready between 6 and 6:10pm. I arrived at 6:10 order was not ready. I was told it was being worked on and was almost ready, two differet times. It was finally ready at 6:50pm. 2nd - The bathroom was very messy. The soap dispenser was empty and there was a heavy sewage type stench. It was unbearable. I walked out of the bathroom instead. Absolutely horrible experience. The hostess was an absolute nightmare. She was rude from the beginning and had a horrible attitude. We had a reservation for 17 people and they already had two grills reserved for our party. It was supposed to be my birthday celebration and they completely ruined it. We got there and we cut down the reservation to 15 people. That was already 2 less people than they had prepared for. They refused to sit us until every last person was at the restaurant. 13 of us were already there and we were only missing 2 people. They could've easily sat us and we would've waited for the other two people at the table but the hostess refused. Spouting some bullshit about how the chef doesn't like to be interrupted once he's started. We repeatedly assured her that we would older for the two missing people so they wouldn't interrupt the chef to order extra food it was a child and another adult and we already had their very simple orders down. They finally sat us at only one grill and missing the seats of the 2 missing people. They said that they had already reserved the other side of the table for another party. Keep in mind they had already told us they had reserved the entire table for us with the two grills. In the span of 10 minutes they booked another reservation? We got up and left. We were very disappointed with our experience tonight. We've come to this restaurant many times with up to 20 people and never had this problem before. I eat here occasionally during my lunch break and the food is fine but just little pricy for the portions that are given. Service is usually good if you're doing grill but if you're dining in it can be hit or miss. I was sat for 10-15 mins without a server in sight so I don't understand why they would sit if they have no servers on. I ended up just leaving since I can't wait forever if I'm on break. The food was good, I will start with that but had I seen some of the things I saw before I ate it I would have just left. I was there on a Saturday night an hour and a half before they closed. We sat at the bar and even with the bartender walking back-and-forth it still took a while to order drinks. The management and staff were constantly arguing around us, and it seemed a bit disorganized. When we ordered our food, we ordered only sushi and rolls. The bartender did not write down our order and came back three times to ask us what we ordered. When my food arrived stuff I did not order was on the plate. and when we cashed out our bill once again stuff we did not order was on our bill, but it was corrected and removed. After we ate our food, we were just sitting there talking and the sushi chef took one step back from his prep station and proceeded to start clearing out his sinuses and spitting into the trashcan in front of them. One of the other staff told him that was gross, but did nothing to correct the disgusting behavior in front of customers. I wish this was just about food. I will not be back here. read more

There was a half hour wait on Saturday for Teppan for lunch. We finally got seated. The clear soup with scallions and mushroom slices was good. It was a very small portion of iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing. The steamed rice, and sautéed veggies were good. The filet mignon, for a dinner portion was very small, as well. It was tender and juicy, and I enjoyed the ginger sauce with it. The kids liked their chicken as well, but once again, a really small portion. My daughter gets the salmon (you get two pieces here unlike when you go to Azuma) and scallops. The sushi here is great too. This place is better than Benni Hana. I had the New York roll. Very good. Big chunk of tuna and avocado inside with a smaller sliver of salmon and avocado on top. A lot of sushi places skimp on avocado and add a big piece of cucumber to fill the space but not here. It could've used some type of sauce or spice on top. It was slightly bland. I'm a regular here for dine-in and the sushi selection is amazing. One of the best sushi places on the west side, and there are amazing dishes aside from that.
