One of my regular stops for lunch. Nice decor with a koy pond and bridges to get to the bar area. Habachi grills are always a pleasure to enjoy the show of your food being prepared. I enjoy their sushi quite often. Excellent selection of rolls and unique combinations. The staff is always delightful and engaging. Service has always been prompt and the food delicious. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was very impressed! Quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were brought out very fast and menu was easy to read. Lunch specials were very reasonable and the entire experience was great! Super chill atmosphere and the food was delicious! Had the hibachi lunch chicken and steak, tried the noodles and rice as well as sushi! All fantastic! Super clean, updated and to round out the experience, there's an awesome Koi pond and water feature with a ton of friendly Koi! Can't speak for dinner service, which I know that they're busy or at, but the lunch service was phenomenal! Definitely adding to our lunch rotation! read more

We have been coming here for years. Usually get seated quickly. Tonight they were a smidge slammed so had a little bit of a wait. Our favorite waiter (Eric) was working. We absolutely love being seated in his area. He's fun and attentive which adds to the experience of the food. Sushi is delicious. Our usuals are the Hibachi Tuna Tower and the sunrise roll. We ventured out today and got the Midtown, Lobster tempura and Blazing Sunset. All of which were great. Come for the great service and stay for the great food. read more

Took my grandkids for dinner thinking they'd enjoy the teppanyaki style service. You can tell the place has been around awhile. First impression is that the place needs a good steam cleaning. The young hosts were wearing black t-shirts. We were seated at one of the teppanyaki tables where we waited about a half hour before the waitress took our order. This was because they wanted to fill more seats. Our chef was entertaining but I didn't appreciate it when he realized he was out of teriyaki sauce and ambled back to the kitchen to refill it leaving our fried rice and noodles to cook on the surface for an additional 5 minutes while he was gone. I ordered hot green tea which came in a beer pint glass of hot water with a couple tea bags, not the traditional little pot of hot tea. Our waitress was very good and the food abundant for the price (especially the kid's menu). The koi pond is cool but the music was techno, not Japanese. But, the grandkids had a blast and the food and service were good, which is why we will return. read more

Went to have dinner after peak business. Four workers walked past and stared at us waiting to be seated. No one asked if we were waiting to be helped or anything. We waited 10 minutes before deciding to leave. read more

I had THE BEST lunch better!!! 10/10 reccomend! Alexis was our server, all for her! She was fantastic! Like a NINJA!! Always there with a refill, empty dishes just *dissappeard*! And our chef, Phill, you **HAVE** to request, perfect steak, chefs kiss! Funny, and even though it was just my husband and I, he gave us a great show with dinner! Don't forget to tip the chef separately from the server! So DEFINITELY be back, and we're going to be asking for Alexis and Phill!!! read more

We've made this place a weekly habit! The sushi is so good here and the hibachi chefs are really fun. There was one (forgot his name) that made an amazing ginger sauce for you, but the other chefs don't offer it. I like to dip my chicken, because I find that the chicken isn't always flavored or seasoned to my liking, so this would be a nice addition across the board! Overall, we enjoy it each time we come here. I would highly recommend this place over the other options nearby! (Yes, we've tried the competitors!) read more

My first visit to this restaurant was on May 31, 2025. I was dining alone in the late afternoon and early evening. There is excellent signage out front, and lots of parking. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. There are basically two sections. One for hibachi tableside preparation and the other for more traditional style dining. Because I was dining alone, I went for the traditional side, but sometime in the future, I look forward to seeing the hibachi side and the talented chefs as they work their magic. The menu has many choices. The decor stylish, somewhat dark in color. It gives a place a touch of mystery. I had a hibachi ribeye steak, which comes with vegetables, fried rice, noodles, and some shrimp. There was a delightful, small salad and soup. Every menu item was prepared to perfection. I finished with an amazing green tea ice cream. In my opinion, their prices are actually on the low side. This is a lot of great food for the price! read more

One of my new favorite places. As a hibachi lover I must say their food is top tier and I have had it to go and ate in and the food is consistently fresh and the service was good too! I loved the lighting and decor feels like traditional hibachi vibes. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Erika and she was very pleasant and addressed a concern for us that she didn't have to. Will always be back! Especially as long as she's in charge! read more

Upon walking in, the restaurant actually has a really cool layout. I've been to a number of different hibachi spots in town and this one is cool because the sushi area is separated by a little bridge and a Koi pond. Then you have the hibachi area but overall it's a very large restaurant. I came with family for a hibachi dinner. Our chef was great, and the food was pretty solid. I wouldn't say it was the best you have ever had, but it was good. Service was very friendly. One of the main downers was the front area smelled kind of gross. They have a large Koi pond, which is very nice, but it was kind of stinky. Once we were actually sat, the smell was not a problem. read more

This has been our go to sushi place since we moved to Abq. I can't talk about the Hibachi Grill because we've never been to that side. But I can say that our sushi was excellent. The ingredients have been fresh, delicious and our rolls well made. We started with the Tuna Tower and added the Mango Lobster Roll, Sunrise Roll and the Fantastic Roll. We left with our appetite sated. Our server Eric was spot on - great personality, friendly, checking frequently and insuring our drinks were full. He's served us before and has been consistent with service. He definitely makes for an excellent dining experience. read more

Love this place and they care about your experience and that your food is what you want it to be. Amazing

1st, I placed an order online at 5:40pm. I recieved a text message confirming my order was recived and would be ready between 6 and 6:10pm. I arrived at 6:10 order was not ready. I was told it was being worked on and was almost ready, two differet times. It was finally ready at 6:50pm. 2nd - The bathroom was very messy. The soap dispenser was empty and there was a heavy sewage type stench. It was unbearable. I walked out of the bathroom instead. I noticed the smell of the restroom carried into the seating area as well. I will not order food from this place again. read more

The food is delicious! I never had an issue with any of my orders. I would highly recommend!!

Food was amazing but there was a roll missing in my take out delivery, or was somehow conveniently 2 rolls in a package. On the plus side was the food was really tasty and fresh! read more

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND: Here at Hibachi One for a Sunday afternoon lunch. No wait and was seated within 5 minutes. Friendly staff, very attentive always checking to make sure all was well at the table. Ordered Hibachi chicken, filet mignon and sushi. All were incredibly tasty and the Hibachi grill food was well seasoned. As usual cook's were very entertaining; menu pricing as expected (between $ and $$) for a Japanese restaurant. I'll definitely go back. Enjoy yourself at Hibachi One. read more

Hibachi one was actually one of the better sushi places I ever tried in ABQ. The fish was fresh and cold. The flavor was on point, and not too saturated with over the top sauces and garnishes, and overall the service and feel of the place was pretty nice. read more

Eric our server was really nice and and funny. He made my birthday dinner really nice. Food was also amazing!

I personally love coming here when I'm craving sushi or when my hubby craving the streak and shrimp dinner on the grill. The quality and service here is great and I've been coming here over the years now and just love the silliness from some of the chefs. The atmosphere here I would say pretty chill they have a choice of grill or sitting at a booth which is nice . read more

Absolutely horrible experience. The hostess was an absolute nightmare. She was rude from the beginning and had a horrible attitude. We had a reservation for 17 people and they already had two grills reserved for our party. It was supposed to be my birthday celebration and they completely ruined it. We got there and we cut down the reservation to 15 people. That was already 2 less people than they had prepared for. They refused to sit us until every last person was at the restaurant. 13 of us were already there and we were only missing 2 people. They could've easily sat us and we would've waited for the other two people at the table but the hostess refused. Spouting some bullshit about how the chef doesn't like to be interrupted once he's started. We repeatedly assured her that we would older for the two missing people so they wouldn't interrupt the chef to order extra food it was a child and another adult and we already had their very simple orders down. They finally sat us at only one grill and missing the seats of the 2 missing people. They said that they had already reserved the other side of the table for another party. Keep in mind they had already told us they had reserved the entire table for us with the two grills. In the span of 10 minutes they booked another reservation? We got up and left. We were very disappointed with our experience tonight. We've come to this restaurant many times with up to 20 people and never had this problem before. This was on Friday, January 9th at 6:00 pm. read more

I eat here occasionally during my lunch break and the food is fine but just little pricy for the portions that are given. Service is usually good if you're doing grill but if you're dining in it can be hit or miss. I was sat for 10-15 mins without a server in sight so I don't understand why they would sit if they have no servers on. I ended up just leaving since I can't wait forever if I'm on break. They need better communication I guess with front of house and back read more

There was a half hour wait on Saturday for Teppan for lunch. We finally got seated. The clear soup with scallions and mushroom slices was good. It was a very small portion of iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing. The steamed rice, and sautéed veggies were good. The filet mignon, for a dinner portion was very small, as well. It was tender and juicy, and I enjoyed the ginger sauce with it. The kids liked their chicken as well, but once again, a really small portion. I guess due to shortages, and inflated food prices, they offset with smaller portions. The place was clean and well maintained. We will be back. read more

The food was good, I will start with that but had I seen some of the things I saw before I ate it I would have just left. I was there on a Saturday night an hour and a half before they closed. We sat at the bar and even with the bartender walking back-and-forth it still took a while to order drinks. The management and staff were constantly arguing around us, and it seemed a bit disorganized. When we ordered our food, we ordered only sushi and rolls. The bartender did not write down our order and came back three times to ask us what we ordered. When my food arrived stuff I did not order was on the plate. and when we cashed out our bill once again stuff we did not order was on our bill, but it was corrected and removed. After we ate our food, we were just sitting there talking and the sushi chef took one step back from his prep station and proceeded to start clearing out his sinuses and spitting into the trashcan in front of them. One of the other staff told him that was gross, but did nothing to correct the disgusting behavior in front of customers. I wish this was just about food. I will not be back here. read more

I'm a regular here and love it. The chefs and wait staff know me. I often get the ribeye steak and scallops or ribeye and lobster tail. My daughter gets the salmon (you get two pieces here unlike when you go to Azuma) and scallops. The sushi here is great too. This place is better than Benni Hana. I went to Benni Hana in Dallas and was highly disappointed. The fried cheesecake is amazing too. A. Consistently delicious B. Great staff C. 7/12/21 The little white girl 'host' is rude on the phone. She constant places you on hold and doesn't know their own sushi menu. Also their website... half of it is down and the rest is in Japanese. They also forget to give you steak sauce after asking twice! Horrible customer service, okay quality. read more

Service was FANTASTIC. Monique went above & beyond. FOOD was AWFUL. Celebrating my husband's birthday and we opted for a table instead of grill area. The dining area was freezing, and just to validate that point the guy behind me had his hoodie over his head and was trying to Stay warm snuggled up to his girlfriend. The front man had a full-blown parka on! Here's why I will never recommend this place. I ordered the scallop/steak hibachi combo. Food arrived VERY QUICK....bonus right?! It wasn't COOKED. I don't know about you, but I've had shellfish food poisoning and it's HORRENDOUS. There was 5 bite sized pieces of "steak" 3 pieces of broccoli, 1/4 piece of mushroom, couple shards of carrots. All drenched in a salty sauce. The waitress was very apologetic and took a portion of the bill off, but how do you recoup from such a horrible situation? The Koi pond was hazy & dirty. Food was unexcusable read more

Disappointed in this place...both hibachi scallops and hibachi shrimp were overcooked, tough and chewy, soup was very plain, salad with ginger dressing okay. Did give both noodles and fried rice but noodles had no flavor. The amount of veggies given was paltry. Took no pics because even when plates arrived, unappetizing. Goes without saying: Wouldn't go back. read more

Hello, So we tried out Habachi zero last night 02/10/2023. I first off the waiter was very inattentive and rude. Our grill chef was not very skilled! Overpriced for the service and quality of food we received. Horrible aftertaste for hours after dinner. Go elsewhere! read more

Young Sam was hands down was the funniest and best tappan grill chef I've ever had. He has down all the classics plus so many more I never heard. He definitely made it a Sunday Funday! To be clear, this is a review of service only - never got any food... due to having reserved a table for 14 for Friday 12/22/23 at 12 noon, for a work lunch, the restaurant was CLOSED at lunch time - no warning - even though we made a reservation. Thank goodness, Jinja was free not far away and accommodated us. NEVER AGAIN. Lowlife management. read more

I had the New York roll. Very good. Big chunk of tuna and avocado inside with a smaller sliver of salmon and avocado on top. A lot of sushi places skimp on avocado and add a big piece of cucumber to fill the space but not here. It could've used some type of sauce or spice on top. It was slightly bland. I ordered takeout and drizzled on some spicy/sweet Thai chili sauce from my fridge and it took it to the next level. It was still very good as ordered. read more

They were able to make gluten free accommodations. Good place for a group but it is more expensive then some other options... I don't eat shrimp and every dish on the hibachi menu comes with it and that seems like a waste. We love this place! Special occasion? Hibachi One! Random dinner out? Hibachi One! The service is great and each chef puts on a completely different show! Really - it's entertaining every single time and totally affordable! I will tell you hands down this is the best hibachi restaurant in Albuquerque. My parents and brother love the sushi too. I'll admit I haven't tried the sushi yet because the hibachi is so freaking amazing! It's just too hard to pass up! They have party rooms for any kind of event. Really - you just have to go try it. This is one of the best kept secrets in Albuquerque. It's our go-to! Previous review: This is our all-time favorite hibachi! Always delicious food and sooo much of it for the price. Husband loves the chicken but I love the steak! If you get it without shrimp, they will give it to you with extra meat too! We love the spring roll appetizer too. Ask for extra sauce! read more
