    Halibut

We had a long wait , probably about 45 minutes but it was worth it. The service was great and so was the food. My wife had the halibut and sweet potato fries. She said it was delicious. I had the char steak and baked potato. The potato probably could have been cooked a little longer but it was still good. My steak was cooked perfectly. Also, I had the wedge salad and it was probably the best wedge salad I've ever had. Definitely give this place a try

Bar fish and potato - substitute for the French fries Sit at the bar !

Yes, we waited an hour for a seat. Service is friendly and fast. Fish and chips - the cod is done perfectly. I substituted the French fries for sweet potato fries and they were not crispy. The mud pie is huge, hard to eat and more kids than adults . It's a simple dessert. The mussels have a rich garlic butter but there were many empty shells. The clam chowder is perfect ; creamy with bug chunks of clam and potato. The calamari is also perfectly delicious. Crisp but not overdone - surprisingly just perfect. The tartar sauce was just ok. I'm stuffed for 75.00 with tip.

Love the food and drinks here. It has always been top notch!

I have been here several times, and the food and drinks are always on point. You'll want to try their watermelon margarita, with fresh watermelon juice.

We came to Pelican's for our anniversary dinner and had a mixed experience. Our first table was wobbly, but the staff quickly accommodated us with a new one-- however we were next to the kitchen booths and it's also loud and clanky sounding. Not bad but attention to detail was missed here . Put up a door. The service was great--attentive, friendly, and fun. We started with a half-dozen oysters, which were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We both wanted the prime rib, but it was already sold out by the time we arrived at 7 PM. That was a real disappointment since it's my go-to order here. Instead, I got the choice ribeye with vegetables, and honestly, it was one of the saddest steaks I've had at a restaurant in a while. No seasoning, just a strong burnt taste from the grill. The vegetables were equally uninspired--no seasoning at all. On the bright side, my partner enjoyed his meal, but overall, I was really let down. I don't think I'm being overly picky, but I've had much better steaks at home. For the price and reputation, I expected more. Would I come back? Maybe for the oysters, service and prime rib but definitely not for the steak.

Another great evening at pelicans, went for husband's birthday, he had the shrimp linguini, oh so delicious, my father and I had steak, perfectly cooked. Halie our waitress was so kind, attentive but no overbearing. And I must add the oyster Rockefellers were the ut most delicious. Perfect service and timing were impeccable.

    Wonderful evening with the family!

Well, where do we begin...? My first time at Pelicans didnt start off well... We had a dinner reservation but for whatever reason, we waited more than an hour after our reservation. Fortunately Im an understanding and sometimes too patient of a man. But I understand plans dont always go as expected. We were finally seated and greeted by a very vibrant server...and I wish I had her name, and spoke with eastern European accent. And she was very apologetic for us having to wait. None the less she took our drink and appetizer order, and before long were all chatting away enjoying the evening. What can I say , except its a steakhouse that actually has an authentic steakhouse vibe to it. Very nice staff...we ordered our meals...my steak was prepared exactly I ask... medium rare! Although a freak incident occurred. I swallowed a few flakes of black pepper from my steak and because of the intensity I began coughing really hard to point of choking. I guess it just went down the wrong pipe as they say. From all of the steakhouses ive dined at, that was a first. After that little episode, the steaks were perfectly prepared. The old fashioned I ordered complimented the evening...Pelicans is a great place to enjoy a steak, some adult beverages and if you have it, good company. The next time im in Albuquerque, I plan on making a plan to come back!

It's been some time since I've seen Red King Crab legs at a menu, so I just had to order them. Let me tell you, they were worth the price and did not disappoint! The wait was a bit long for two, but I guess that's to be expected on a Friday. Our waiter was was great and on top of things all night. I'll already looking for an excuse to head back for more!

Excellent service and great food. Has a small waiting area but plenty of space in the rest of the restaurant. Only available for dinner.

I am a mermaid at heart so of course the seashell theme was on point. I was on a solo date and the patio was a sweet place to sit outside under string lights and enjoy the views of the mountains in the background. I love to try new things so I was delighted they had an oystertini (yep you guessed it, a martini with an oyster in it!) The lions mane mushrooms were to die for. Insane flavor and texture. The salmon was cooked " medium" which I've never really had before, and it was so palatable and luxurious. Nothing worse than overcooked fish ha ha. Dominic was my server and he was especially attentive and sweet and conversational. Great energy. The rest of the staff had a similar vibe. 10 out of 10 would love to come back. One thing to note: the food is very RICH with a lot of oils, kind of like French food, so next time I wouldn't order as many heavy items (my fault not theirs !) and I would pair it with some lighter faire they offer such as one of their salads. Overall, such a treat.

Unfortunately, they didn't ask us if we had a special occasion we were celebrating, but overall the service was great. The ambiance was pretty nice and there is a back patio that has a few tables. They have a large array of oysters from the east coast and west coast. The oysters and the way they served and prepared were good. They do have raw clams also which I thought strange, but I'm probably just not fancy enough. We ordered a few appetizers including green chili hush puppies which seemed to need a little more Smokey green chili flavor and they were a bit dry. The lobster deviled eggs are sort of tart and flavorless and I didn't get any lobster on mine. My friend said the lobster rolls were good, and I had a salmon special that was out of this world delicious and cooked to perfection!! The red curry mussels were also outstanding!! Could use a bit more spice and salt, but really good. One of the kiddos didn't want raw food, but he also couldn't find much on the menu for kids. They were out of what he ordered and when they finally did get his order, his food came out about 15 minutes after the rest of the table. They did comp out appetizers so that was nice, but in my opinion they should have comped his meal since they didn't have what he wanted and then served him so much later. Their alcoholic fancy beverages were great. I had a glass of wine that was good. I would suggest offering more wines and meals from the adjacent wine bar and restaurant to Lure as well. They have a few kinks to work out, but I think they are on the right track. There is no phone so it's very difficult to make a reservation. I recommend visiting this place and trying some of their food during off hours. I'm not sure I'd recommend their appetizers yet, but with a few tweaks they will improve. Cheers!

Wrong! They only have Gumbo soups now. I am not complaining at all, we chose a separate appetizer. We love the Oven-Baked Crab Cake with Jumbo lump crab, & lemon caper butter it was delicious. Kara was on top of all parts of service. She was attentive but not intrusive in the least. 5***** all the way. So we ordered a ton of food, and enjoyed it with the complimentary French bread & Butter. Dan had: Pappadeaux's Platter with Two fried catfish fillets, [extra] shrimp, oysters, stuffed shrimp, stuffed crab, crawfish. Dan only got through less than half. I ordered Rainbow Trout & Jumbo Crab Blackened trout, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, hazelnut brown butter, with Buttered Heirloom Grits. The pairing worked very well together. There was a slight up charge for the grits, but I am happy. The food was fresh, delicious and well balanced. The garden outside and around Pappadeaux is a relaxing and inviting. They have a water fountain on their front veranda, and it was wonderful to hear the birds in the trees. Windows give a nice view of their gardens. I believe they still may patio seating but I didn't ask about it. The waitress offered dessert and with both of us having had a substantial more food on our plate, we declined... but I admit the banana pudding was calling my name (back for a limited time she said).
