Stopped by after work and didn't look over the menu beforehand. My mistake! It's extremely expensive for what was served. I was hungry for crab legs. The legs served were not very well cleaned and seemed of a lower quality. I was also told it was 2lbs but it didn't seem that way. The staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant looks nice. However I think in Albuquerque Red Lobster is a much better deal for crab legs. Or make them at home. In Tucson AZ the asian buffets on weekends have all you can eat legs for 27 dollars. Had never had a seafood boil, but certainly was on our list to try. My son had been off for spring break so we went to check it out. When we got there I loved how open the space was. It was very clean looking and we were the first ones in! Our waitress came out quickly and gave us menus, suggestions, and all the available options. An all-you-can-eat seafood buffet... mostly. A group of us came in for an early dinner and had the all-you-can-eat buffet. A couple things... there are two price points - the less expensive option does not include crab and has some limitations on things like wings. The more expensive option does include crab but a maximum of pounds. The variety of seafood is limited, and each round you order takes a very long time. The headless shrimp are the best I've had at one of these places and try the ninja fries. But maybe steer clear of the mango pudding. read more

There are so many reasons why I'm giving this a low score. 1: we waited 20 minutes in line outside while there were several empty tables. Waited 10 minutes for someone to even give us a menu 2: we ordered the crab legs, lobster tails, etc with the Cajun butter which tasted amazing. Unfortunately they ran out of corn but it was fine because our order came with extra potatoes and sausage. Our order had at most 3-4 sausage pieces and hardly any potatoes either 3: asked repeatedly for scissors for the crab legs and didn't receive them until we were ready to leave 4: there was hardly any staff walking around, one person cleaning all the dirty tables, 2 people passing out menus, food and taking orders, and seating the people in the line outside. Ultimately I would not recommend this restaurant because it's clear they do not function well while busy and the amount of food received is not worth the price. read more

My husband I stopped here the other day for date night and wow! We've heard about this place and finally got around to trying it out. They have plenty of seating and it was empty when we went. The menu has three combos and you can build your own combo as well. They do have an AYCE option too which is the first time I've seen that with a seafood boil! We ended up not getting that and just built our own combos. Their spice levels are what they say they are! It is quite expensive compared to Storming Crab or Cracking Crab but definitely worth it. Very good! They have an all you can eat broil before 745pm. We've been a couple times. The only con is service is a little slow BUT it's because most tables are filled. Also our shrimp has been over cooked each time so it's kinda chewy other than that I recommend it for seafood broil. read more

We got snow crab, scallops, headless shrimp and we added clams. All bags included potatoes, sausage and corn. We also added some bread. We got the medium garlic butter. Normally we would have gotten the fire, but as I have gotten older my stomach can not handle the heat lol. It came out hot and and fast. The whole meal was delicious and filling. I was there Dec 23. It was not even worth 1 star.. We did the all you can eat buffet and for 1 order it took 40 minutes! When told about it, they were extremely rude to say the least. Our waiter Guam shouldn't work anywhere near customer service because he does not know the definition! It was awful and unacceptable. We visited late at night, about an hour before closing, which might have contributed to the empty feel of the place. Upon arrival, we sat toward the back, away from other diners, which initially seemed pleasant for a quiet evening. Our waitress was helpful and explained the menu thoroughly. We were almost sold on the unlimited seafood option but lost interest when we found out the unlimited did not include crab. Instead, we ordered a single seafood bag to split and added a pound of Dungeness crab to our snow crab bag, opting for medium spice in garlic, along with two sodas. While waiting for our food, a large family with incredibly disruptive children was seated next to us. The kids were loud, banged on tables, and ran around the restaurant, disturbing other diners. Despite the commotion, the staff did nothing to manage the situation. In contrast, a homeless man who quietly entered and sat at the entrance was swiftly confronted by kitchen staff and asked to leave, causing a loud altercation when he started yelling. This inconsistency in handling disturbances was frustrating. The atmosphere of Meet Crab was confusing, with a mix of license plates on the wall and light-up wings for photo ops, leaving us unsure of the theme. However, the bathrooms were clean enough. When it came to the food, Meet Crab delivered an excellent dining experience. We were provided with all the necessary crab-eating tools, including scissors and gloves, which were unique and very useful. The food arrived hot and fresh, featuring generous portions of crab, peel-and-eat shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn. The portions were impressive, beating out any other crab place we've visited. We were stuffed by the end and still had some leftovers, which is remarkable for a single bag split between two people. While the food was outstanding and offered great value, the service towards the end of the night was lacking. It seemed the staff's attentiveness dwindled as closing time approached, possibly due to the lateness of our visit. Additionally, the disturbances from the unruly children and the homeless man made it difficult to fully appreciate the meal. In conclusion, if you're in the area and looking for excellent seafood, Meet Crab is worth considering for its fantastic food and generous portions. However, the service, atmosphere, and other customers may detract from the overall experience. We might return for the food but would hope for a quieter, more controlled dining environment next time. read more

I will note that it is NOT all you can eat crab, you get 2 lbs which is a pretty reasonable price in ABQ, and then you get unlimited appetizers, shrimp (w or w/o head), clams, mussels, crawfish, and all the sides (corn, potato, sausage, egg, rice). They have an all you can eat option for those who are truly starving, but Ive always gotten just a pound of shrimp with corn, sausage and potatoes. We three went for lunch around noon on a Sunday. We were greeted warmly and told to sit wherever we wanted. Tat, our server, came over to us and explained the menu. We chose the Combo B (mild Meet house sauce), coleslaw and a coke. The food was fresh and delicious. At one point, the very nice owner came by to see how our meal was. We wanted to try something new and heard they have AYCE seafood. Well it's kinda like that. You choose between to price points red and yellow. Red allows you to have crab and you can only get the crab one time. And of some other items where limited to one go around. They also state if you don't eat it all. You have to pay for it. Portions were good for the first round and the 2nd round was so much that you almost felt set-up. Ended up taking home extra bc one person couldn't eat all the extras they brought out. The 2nd round could feed 3 people easily. So for 3 people we paid close to 170 bucks. 50 each for AYCE adults and 30 for a kid. That's for the drinks and shrimp and clams we had to take home. The food was delish and enjoyed the seafood. Worth a try but be careful with the AYCE. read more

But instead of there being a $1 difference to switch between clams (14.89) and mussels (15.89) they charged me $5 for the difference. There calamari was HUGE, every state I've been in, even country, calamari is served fried and small and crunchy, here however, the calamari was the size of onion rings & did not taste like any calamari I've ever had. I mean a 4.9 is hard to come by... While speaking to the server, she had pulled her notebook and dropped a bag with a white substance.. she picked it up and we told her we needed more time.. ended up leaving without ordering because we will NOT support any establishment that allows drug use. No I do not know for certain that it was drugs but she was super loud and jittery from hello, it was not hard to believe that she was using. Even if the owners don't know they sure do make her feel like it's okay if she had it on her person. We will not be returning and I will not be recommending this restaurant solely based off the clear drug use going on with the staff. read more

Google map maps to the Village Inn but it's located next to the Dollar Tree. No huge visible signage from San Mateo. Lastly, too much salt in seasoning! Not high blood pressure friendly. I appreciate the seasoning but I wanna taste the seafood more. But definitely would return for more. This place would be great for large groups too. read more
