Dropped by for dinner last night. Spectacular if what you want is oysters. Less impressed by the rest. Service - 4.5/5 All staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. The gentleman manning the raw bar was all around excellent, extremely helpful when it came to helping my partner figure out what oysters would suit her tastes. Our dedicated server was less helpful. Although she suggested a dish for me as non dairy, the bread that came with it ended up being soaked in butter. Fortunately the gentleman at the bar saved the day and brought some toasted bread, sans butter. Cocktails - 5/5 Both of the drinks we had were excellent. Not oversweetened. Good evolution. Hook Platter - 3/5 Oysters were deliciously fresh and the fact theyre flown in daily really showed. The prawns were large, but I found them a bit overcooked for my taste. The class were similarly nothing to write home about. The tuna tartar was fresh, but not particularly flavorful. Perhaps a fattier cut of tuna might make it stand out a bit more. The sauces, however, were both excellent, and made the prawns a bit more tolerable. Overall, I'd recommend skipping the platter and just ordering the oysters. Red Curry Mussels 4/5 - For better or worse the bread dipped in curry sauce is the best part. The mussels themselves were good, but there were also several unopened ones left in the dish. The vegetables included in the dish didnt really go all that well with the curry base either. With some refinement, this dish could really be improved, but it was reasonably tasty as is. Overall, I can comfortably say LURE is an excellent choice for cocktails and oysters, but if thats not what you want, there may be better places to be. However, with some investment into the rest of the menu, LURE could become THE seafood destination in Albuquerque. read more

Holy moly this place was incredible! Lots of thoughtful curation has gone into not only the food and it's presentation, but also the ambience and the staff. I am a mermaid at heart so of course the seashell theme was on point. I was on a solo date and the patio was a sweet place to sit outside under string lights and enjoy the views of the mountains in the background. I love to try new things so I was delighted they had an oystertini (yep you guessed it, a martini with an oyster in it!) The lions mane mushrooms were to die for. Insane flavor and texture. The salmon was cooked " medium" which I've never really had before, and it was so palatable and luxurious. Nothing worse than overcooked fish ha ha. Dominic was my server and he was especially attentive and sweet and conversational. Great energy. The rest of the staff had a similar vibe. 10 out of 10 would love to come back. One thing to note: the food is very RICH with a lot of oils, kind of like French food, so next time I wouldn't order as many heavy items (my fault not theirs !) and I would pair it with some lighter faire they offer such as one of their salads. I went to check this place out for dinner on a weeknight. I was surprised at how small the space was! Thankfully we had gotten there early enough to still get a table without having to wait. I do have to say they were really packing in the tables so I felt a bit like I was sitting on top of the person at the table behind me (we kept bumping the chairs if we tried to shift, which was a bit much). Unfortunately there really wasn't room to adjust things. Our server as a pleasant enough but not as attentive as I would have liked. I got the mussels and they were tasty. I had expected the broth they were in to be a bit more like broth, but it was really more of a sauce so not really enough for dipping the bread in. Overall it was a decent experience and what a cool octopus bottle holder on the bar! I'll have to go back and give some other things a try. read more

National oyster day was upon us so my friend and I knew we had to try Lure- especially since they were offering $2 oysters to celebrate! Yummm they were amazing. We ordered 10 and they were so meaty and buttery and delicious. The presentation was great. We also added on some mussels, lobster deviled eggs, and fried lions mane mushrooms. Everything was 10/10. We had a couple cocktails to go alone with the food and all of them were delicious. They put so much thought into the presentation of everything! The service was great too- quick and friendly. This place is a cute, little oyster bar located inside of the former Yanni's bar. I came here with a friend and his family for a birthday dinner. Unfortunately, they didn't ask us if we had a special occasion we were celebrating, but overall the service was great. The ambiance was pretty nice and there is a back patio that has a few tables. They have a large array of oysters from the east coast and west coast. The oysters and the way they served and prepared were good. They do have raw clams also which I thought strange, but I'm probably just not fancy enough. We ordered a few appetizers including green chili hush puppies which seemed to need a little more Smokey green chili flavor and they were a bit dry. The lobster deviled eggs are sort of tart and flavorless and I didn't get any lobster on mine. My friend said the lobster rolls were good, and I had a salmon special that was out of this world delicious and cooked to perfection!! The red curry mussels were also outstanding!! Could use a bit more spice and salt, but really good. One of the kiddos didn't want raw food, but he also couldn't find much on the menu for kids. They were out of what he ordered and when they finally did get his order, his food came out about 15 minutes after the rest of the table. They did comp out appetizers so that was nice, but in my opinion they should have comped his meal since they didn't have what he wanted and then served him so much later. Their alcoholic fancy beverages were great. I had a glass of wine that was good. I would suggest offering more wines and meals from the adjacent wine bar and restaurant to Lure as well. They have a few kinks to work out, but I think they are on the right track. There is no phone so it's very difficult to make a reservation. I recommend visiting this place and trying some of their food during off hours. I'm not sure I'd recommend their appetizers yet, but with a few tweaks they will improve. Cheers! read more

This place was absolutely amazing. It's a true gem for a desert like Albuquerque. I ordered a lore platter which consisted of oysters, prawns, tartar, and mussels. The taste was superb. I ordered a Michelada cocktail, which was equally delicious. The lobster deviled eggs were fantastic. My wife isn't really a seafood fan so she ordered a green chile smash burger. She enjoyed hers greatly as well. Our server was very attentive and eager to ensure we had a great meal experience. Will definitely go back. The only needs improvement I see is I would've liked to have had a bloody Mary and that wasn't one of the listed items on the cocktail menu. read more

Lure is very clean, bright and welcoming. We took seats at the bar so we could enjoy all of the oyster shucking and plating. We had just been in the NE and Canada and were having oyster and lobster roll withdrawals, so Lure helped us out and did not disappoint. We ordered a dozen oysters, two of each of the six varieties on offer, and the lobster roll sampler, three varieties: Connecticut, Maine and NM. I think we liked the Maine best, but all were delicious and perfect for sharing. Everything was delicious and very fresh! The oysters were served with horseradish, beet horseradish and cocktail sauce, along with some lemon and vinegar. Besides the delicious food options, there are many great wine, beer and cocktail choices. In the seafood spirit, I chose a delicious vodka oyster shot (YUM) and then an oystertini, also delicious. A rare find here in Abq; exceptional and extremely fresh seafood. I cannot express how amazing this little oyster bar is. From the friendly, ready to explain to oysters staff, to the super fresh menu everything was more than great. We ordered more food than we could handle but couldn't help but finish everything. Some stars to point out (other than the delicious oysters) were the oyster shooters, lobster rolls, hush puppies, and the specials. It truly felt like you are on a vacation somewhere else because of the ambiance. Great service and fresh seafood in the desert, what's not to like? Started off with 8 fresh shucked oysters, all were impeccable and they had 2 different mignonettes that complimented them perfectly. Then the lobster deviled eggs, really fun and elegant take on a favorite of mine. We then had the lobster rolls, Maine style. Juicy with butter, lobster was fresh and succulent, no complaints here, almost like the ones we got in Boston. My wife said the oystertini was weird, but great overall . We will be back! read more

I AM SO HAPPY! Fresh, raw oysters in the 505, provided by a 'BURQUEÑO! Lovely selection of cold water oysters and seafood right here at home! This was our first time here and it ROCKED! I almost hate to post this because other people might start coming lol. The environment is just beautiful, truly. The service is lovely. And they have an outdoor patio year-round which is huge. We finally got a chance to try Lure Raw Bar and absolutely loved it! We sat at the bar after being welcomed in by the owner, Seth, who helped educate us on the oyster choices and specials. We tried one of every oyster and loved the homemade sauces available. The Bottle Rocket oysters were our favorite of the five available! We then tried the octopus special and the lobster roll trio. The octopus was the best we've ever had! Cooked twice and had perfect texture and flavor. The lobster rolls were great especially with the house made Dijon mayo. We tried a couple house cocktails and Joe tried one of their oyster shooters which was Bloody Mary style with vodka and delicious!
