Albuquerque isn't known for its great seafood restaurants. Having lived in the east and west coasts with access to fabulous fresh seafood my bar is high. But Pappadeaux here in Albuquerque is a consistent go to when the seafood itch hits. Started with a dozen fresh oysters to share and they were excellent. Served with three different sauces, all great. Fresh bread and butter accompanied the meal. Our three main courses were the Blackened Catfish with red beans and rice, the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas served with oysters, shrimp, lump crab meat and dirty rice and the Redfish Ponchartrain served with lump crab and shrimp and dirty rice. Bam Pappadeaux delivers fresh quality seafood meals with that Cajun kiss .

Recently went here to celebrate my birthday the customer service was amazing. I had a really nice gentleman as our waiter very attentive. It wasn't very busy inside which was nice and not very common in there. I ordered SEAFOOD TAGLIATELLE PASTA which was amazing. I have a shrimp allergy and they did an amazing job at making sure nothing touched shrimp. The octopus was so delicious in my pasta buttery and melted in my mouth. I got their cheesecake for dessert that was delicious as well. I would highly recommend coming here. It's a nice environment with amazing food.

Our first time here ! Let me say we felt soo welcomed very fancy clean place... our server Jessica was very attentive and super nice ! We started off with gator bites.. now if you've never tried gator "like me" don't let it scare you it was actually pretty delicious! They made sure to be very careful with my friends plate whom is allergic to shrimp I believe it was the manager who came to ask us a few things about the allergy concern and assured us they would take precautions on preparing his dish.. I got the pasta it was sooo flavorful and it was a big serving we ended things off with a free first timers crème brûlée. Oh My Gosh! It was the most richest most delicious one I have tried definitely not disappointed at all with this place!!! give it a try 10/10 worth it !

We are chaplains and after visiting our favorite resident from a nursing home that we visit weekly we decided to eat here for our 33 year anniversary. We decided to try the roasted oysters. I am not usually an oyster fan but after talking with the waitress we decided to take the plunge and order them. Oh my goodness, they were amazing. I wish they sold them by the dozen instead of just 6, they were that delicious. Full of flavor, cooked perfectly and so delicious. I ordered the grouper with crab and shrimp. This dish reminded me of being back in Florida. I ate so much Grouper when we visited there. It was nice to see it on the menu. It was flaky but meaty and delicious. The butter sauce added a nice flavor to the grouper. The shrimp were large and flavorful and the crab was moist and very tasty. My husband order the fried seafood platter. It had fried catfish, oysters, crawfish, stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab. They give large portions of fries to go with it all. The fried oysters were out of this world. The crawfish tasted just like shrimp and were very large.

I love coming here when I get to this part of the city. A great way to stsrt is with the fried calamari and octopus or oysters. The crawfish platter, with fried crawfish and crawfish etouffe is my favorite meal. The warm bread is delicious and I have to remind myself to stop eating so much of it. Their coffee is wonderful. I have always had impeccable service. The restaurant is always clean and the ambiance is charming.

Ate at Pappadeaux's tonight--they actually have a pretty good selection of gluten-free options. After I ordered, the manager came over to ask if I was gluten-free by preference or due to an allergy. When I told him it was an allergy, he reassured me that they would take the proper precautions with my meal. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette, and for dessert, we shared the crème brûlée. Everything was delicious!!!

Stopped by for a work luncheon. They were able to accommodate a group of 12. The wait staff was friendly, everyone enjoyed their meal.

We had our 35 anniversary dinner. We received a free dessert for our first time visiting this location but nothing acknowledging our anniversary. Not a big deal we enjoyed the dessert. Bread was great. Main course was my issue. I ordered the filet Oscar style. First time I have ever had it served with green onions. I'm sure they would have done something if I had complained but I didn't want to complain. When he asked how the food was, my wife said fine I did t look up and he left. The steak was cooked a bit unevenly which is fairly standard. It was good with one issue. One end was fatty. Never had a filet I could not complete at a restaurant. First time for everything. Had to spit out a chunk then tried to surgically free up some meet before giving up in one area. Crab was difficult to find. I had higher expectations which is why I gave three stars. Would have been four at outback.

We stopped in hoping for some great seafood. We were pleasantly surprised and walked out full and happy. My husband had the blackened catfish. I had the ginger glazed salmon. Both were expertly cooked and delicious. Bread came out first, it was good. I also ordered a side salad, it was crisp and fresh. We also ordered desserts. Creme brûlée and cheesecake. Perfect! We can't wait to go back - but- caution $$$! Staff was amazing, excellent waiter and we witnessed exceptional teamwork.

Fresh food, great ambience, fabulous service, always! We love to sit outside. Their flounder is hands down my favorite!! Unfortunately it was taken off the menu (crying) Check them out, you'll thank me later :)

We're kind of snobby about our beer and every. single. beer is solid. I might not like reds that much but this is one that I'd actually drink. The Hefe is solid and delicious without the weird aftertaste and off flavors that 95% of them have. Just a clean, refreshing hefe. The DIPA is delicious and one of my faves. I still stand by that the IPAs here will stand up to any others we have around town and we have some good oens. We stopped in to watch football for a bit and the screens were plentiful, there was lots to do including darts, shuffleboard, and nearly every single game on at once. They've done a lot to the place and I really hope it sticks around - we need a place like this! Beers are super reasonably priced and they have a daily happy hour (including an all day happy hour on Monday!). This is a chill, cool place with lots of seating, lots of parking and ample food options around.

With that said, I am somewhat also disappointed in the non-beer options. One friend of mine is gluten sensitive. So, she can order seltzers or wine, but a glass of wine (which she prefers, is $12 or so -- pretty pricey. I don't drink alcohol and I don't consume sugar, so I can either get water (takes like hose water) or they have a quanine water in a small bottle - 10oz I think and it's about $4 I think (they don't have a menu with prices online). On the plus side, if you like sports then you will like their TVs. Never a cover charge, and you can bring in food from outside since there is no kitchen here. There is plenty of parking. Overall nice place, but the service is sometimes off - usually 1 bartender on week night. In order for me and my pals to return, they need to offer more reasonably priced wine and add more non-alcohol options. Some establishments offer Athletic brand NA which I like. Clausthaler now has a new IPA NA that is wonderful, and something like a canned sparkling water - La Croix would work too.

For drinks they have everything from house taps and cocktails to non-alcoholic options, including mocktails. They also make their own house infusions like beet vodka, coffee liqueur, and cucumber gin, which I thought was interesting. The service was friendly although it was busy so I wouldn't say they were fully attentive. Differential Brewing does seem like a chill spot to grab a drink and hang out with friends. My only issue was that the bathrooms were not clearly labeled and the heavy metal playlist was not my cup of tea. Too bad too because there were several we wanted to get. We ended up tasting four beers. The Bock was ok, and the Stout was pretty good. I had a pint each of the Blue Corn Lager and the Irish Red, while my wife had two pints of the Irish Red. Both were quite good. Had I had another, I would've ordered the Stout. The one knock on the place was the service. It was friendly enough. There just wasn't enough of it. Every time we needed something, it was around a 10-min wait in line. To order, to close out, etc. Not really because it was overly crowded. It just took a really long time for those in front of us to be helped by the one person tending bar at the time. Oh well. The beer was good and not overpriced. Even though the alcohol content wasn't too high, it hit the spot.
