Food and drinks were exceptional. Definitely exceeded my expectations. The service was amazing. Can't wait to come back and try more Menu items.

We enjoyed our calamari, crab nachos, chicken sandwich, wagyu burger, sides of truffle fries and Caesar salad, and cocktails! The old school classic music that played toward the end of our dinner made us dance in our seats and enjoy our dinner even more. Seth is an excellent and attentive server. He showed me the menu because of my dietary restrictions and made sure we got our food orders in good timing because of our concert we were headed to. The manager took care of us too and closed the blinds without us needing to ask, to block the sun from hitting us. We can't wait to come back and we will be recommending Junior to friends and family! Thank you to the entire Junior Restaurant and Lounge team for your fantastic food, drinks, ambiance, and service!

Delicious food, Nice ambiance [Roseville CA] I've seen at least three other restaurants come and go in this space currently occupied by Junior's... and I've been wanting to dine here ever since they opened. Well, today was the day. We were seated in a booth and our waitress, Jolie, came and introduced herself, since it was our first time she gave us a detailed rundown of the entire entree menu and offered some recommendations too. We decided on the Steak & Ravioli and the Chicken & Creamed Corn. We also ordered their Truffle Fries. I couldn't stop eating the fries, so crispy and flavorful... delicious! I had the Steak & Ravioli. The Wagyu sirloin was tender and prepared to my liking, tasty and good. Everything was savory. Hubby enjoyed his chicken too and kept raving about the little chunks of pork belly and garlic cream sauce. When he's not talkative I know he's busy enjoying his food LoL! We then had dessert and chose the 3-flavored Artisanal Ice Cream (scoops of Mocha Almond Fudge, Vanilla and Salted Caramel). Whoa, wow! homemade and yummy! Looks like we'll be back again to try their brunch because I really wanted to try the Loco Moco. We had a nice first time experience here... the only thing I was surprised about was the photographer. I really didn't appreciate the approach. Nice elegant ambiance with a huge bar and outdoor patio seating. I've been to two businesses that formerly occupied this location and the layout has not changed, it also has a second level. Review #3767

    Brunch at Juniors!!

Great service - server was awesome. Ambiance was elegant and electric. Food varied in awesomeness, loved the calamari again, beignets were super delicious. The Benedict was good but would likely get another kind next time. Wet burrito needed some more wet, but they fixed that right away with extra salsa and sour cream which made it great. They've got their fried food down - would get more fried stuff on future trips. Water and tea refills were on point! They kept us hydrated and felt seen. Recommend.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Was not busy at all, plenty of parking and a decent amount of options on their brunch menu. Our waitress was so friendly and super sweet.

I went to celebrate a birthday and had a pretty good time overall. I RSVP'd ahead of time, and the vibe was fun and lively. Our server was super friendly and very talkative, which made the experience more personal. I ordered the Raspberry Lemon Drop, which was tasty but a little too sweet--it honestly tasted more like juice than a cocktail. I always order calamari when it's on the menu, but this one wasn't the best. It was overcooked and a bit burnt, so I wouldn't get it again. I also got the Wagyu Sliders--they were very juicy. The Caesar salad was a win though--crisp, fresh, and really flavorful. I'm picky with Caesar salads, and this one hit the spot. The jalapeño cornbread with hot honey was really good too--moist, sweet, with just the right kick. The place has a great atmosphere with a live DJ and two bars, plus outdoor seating if you want something more laid-back. They also do a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a slice of chocolate cake with ice cream--so good. Just a heads-up: they do include gratuity for large parties, so be sure to check your bill before tipping extra. I'd definitely come back for the vibe, drinks, and a few favorites--but I'd skip the calamari next time.

Heirloom tomato and burrata salad. Needed some crushed sea salt. They provided Himalayan pink salt.

We came here for lunch while waiting for our car maintenance at the Roseville automall. The walk wasn't too bad as the weather was really nice and sunny. We sat outside in their patio area. Great ambiance and use of their outdoor decor and space. We ordered the heirloom tomato and burrata salad as an appetizer. It was good, but I wished they would've come over with large salt and pepper grinders to ask if we'd like any on our salad. Junior looks like the type of upscale restaurant that wound do that, but alas we had to ask for salt for which they provided. It did elevate the dish compared to the first bite which tasted quite bland. For entrees, I ordered the Southwest pasta with shrimp and my husband ordered a breakfast plate. Both dishes were delicious and we enjoyed both. The cocktails we ordered were also well-made, upscale, and quite strong. We got the pineapple and coconut mojito and the smoked old fashion. For dessert, we really wanted a pick-me-up so we just ordered their vanilla ice cream and berries with an espresso to make our own affogato. The dessert was fine, but we ended up being served moldy berries twice after we showed the waitress the berries...I think she handled the situation perfectly given the circumstances. Better attention to detail training for their dessert chef is warranted. The moldy berries was kind of a downer, it did not leave us feeling great about the place, but coming from a previous restaurant manager, it happens, and I hope they can make the changes listed above. So many great restaurants in Roseville, you gotta make the first experience great for return business. 4-stars still for the other great food and service.

We had reservations here for Friday night and were seated right away. We were seated at the top lounge area. The upstairs had a smaller bar but the main bar and dinning was downstairs. There were bathroom both upstairs and downstairs. The inside definitely has an intimate vibe, more quiet and dim lighting. We ordered some drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Portions were decent size for the price. The salmon cakes appetizer was our favorite. It was flavored really well and was paired with yummy sauce. Service was great. Kudos to the staff having to climb up and down the stairs to bring up food and drinks! We didn't feel like we were forgotten being seated upstairs. It was definitely a good time and we'd love to come back.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch The wait was around 15 to 20 minutes my boyfriend got a cappuccino it tasted like hot water so we were able to return it. He also got a burger and salad but the meat was VERY overcooked. I got the Caesar salad & added salmon it was pretty good! Our waiter was nice just not very attentive. The vibe inside is nice & It is decorated nicely inside!

Food, service, ambiance check check check The Brandy Alexander on their secret money was absolutely delicious. One of the best dessert cocktails I've ever tried. We ordered the Pork Chops from the regular menu and the Lamb Chops on their secret menu. This place definitely has a southern home-y magical touch to their dishes despite the very modern and club music exterior. Who knew lamb chops with sweet potatoes and spinach can taste so good? (BTW it said mashed potatoes on the menu but it turned out to be sweet potatoes; which we were not mad at) The portions and seasoning were great. We can't wait to try other items on the menu. The time it took the food to come out was a little long but if you order apps and drinks it'll be perfecting timing.

Was excited to finally check this place out after seeing it on IG and driving by it on my way to work! Had the chance to finally check it out since they were throwing a Love Island watch party which was perfect to go to right after work. My friends and I walk and were amazed on how big the place was. The 2-story concept felt very elegant and classy and the outside area looked like a good area for sunny days and brunch. Looking at the menu, it was a bit pricey for my taste but luckily they had appetizer and cocktail specials specific to the Love Island theme watch party so I ordered the Wagyu Sliders from there for $9 and my friends ordered the Short Rib Tacos for $6. Both were tasty and filling for all of us to eat while watching the episode. Will definitely be back again to try more of the menu!

My sisters and I visited this amazing establishment twice. The food is awesome tasty and each time we see what we want to try again. This time server KEITH was super nice and informative. He recommended so many items we definitely will return a few more times eventhough we are from a long ways away. But it's worth the drive thanks to Keith and the food 100%

We were looking for brunch in the area via Yelp and were surprised to see this listed. We checked the menu, liked what we saw so we came in. We were more surprised after getting here to see brunch is six days per week, even the server seems surprised. The strong emphasis on Cajun and Creole brunch items drew us in, from beignets to shrimp n grits to biscuits and etouffee. Learned the chef is from New Orleans so expectations jumped a bit. Everything, from atmosphere to the food, was ok with a few misses. For example, 11am on a Sunday and the server presented the lunch and dinner menu with the evening cocktail menu. The brunch menu was on the other side, but this is a simple miss, if brunch is what you are serving, offer that as the emphasis. We didn't even know until after ordering that a variety of mimosas are available, that's not on their brunch menu. The brunch music was nighttime dance-party music, so an atmosphere miss. Three different brunch items included etouffee, except there was no etouffee. It was concerning when the server said the chef could make up a gumbo as a replacement. Five-minute gumbo should really never be offered. The short rib hash was flavorful, the beignets were close to 'real' and the shrimp n grits would have been quite good but for swimming in a soup of a creole gravy pooling on the bottom of the bowl, it overwhelmed the entire dish. The description mentions holy trinity, but the celery onion and bell pepper had not cooked together long enough to develop any flavor. It has promise, fun descriptions of many menu items, but nothing about the place really feels 'finishes' or done well. We'll try again soon so see how the dinner service is.

Ask the Community - Junior Restaurant

Will they be bring back the empanadas? I was about to drive all the way out there because they look so good, but glad I checked the menu first and saw they were not on the menu, its disappointing but curious if anyone has any info?

New chef. They also no longer have the cornbread jalapeno honey butter muffins, but the food is excellent and at lunch the atmosphere is quiet so you can talk! I was there yesterday, 10/3/25.

What day and hours is there a DJ?

We went on a Wednesday around 430 and I believe the singer guy came around maybe 5-6? It was VERY loud.

    Is it kid friendly?

Yes we are kid friendly and have a kids menu as well.

Would I be able to reserve for a birthday dinner (somewhat big party of people)? Also if so would it be inside or possible outside area?

You can definitely make a reservation for a big party, they are very accommodating. When you call to make the reservation, you can specify which area you would like to be seated. There's outside, upstairs, or by the bar in the main seating area.

Are there tvs on the outdoor patio? Is it dog friendly?

Yes, there are TVs and dog friendly

What days and time frame is Happy Hour?

    3-6 pm Monday-Friday

Why is the restaurant named "Junior"?

It is named after the owners eldest son

Do you need reservations? Been calling to ask but they're not answering the phones.

Reservation are not necessary, unless you have a massive group.

The place was a lot better than the old one since it looks more spacious. It was not crowded for a Saturday night and that was really great. There's a few tables and seats downstairs but we preferred going upstairs and that's where we stayed. Only 2 of the 4 sofas/tables were occupied so that was really good. They play all kinds of music and I like the dj coz he knows what he's doing with mixing and playing good ones. However, the downside being upstairs is that noone or any of the staff will go there to ask for your order. You have to go down and get them yourself. Also, I noticed that they don't set rules for dress code anymore even though it says on the website. You see people with just shorts, shirts and sleepers and/or sandals on. So it was kind of a turn-off for me. They should require people dressed accordingly before they let them in. I don't mind to also pay an entrance fee ($10-15) This way they can preserve the place with class and elegance somehow. Just my thoughts.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!
