For those new in the area or haven't heard of Huckleberry's. Let me tell you. This is one the best Breakfast restaurant you need to visit. You get more food than what you are expecting. This is truly a home cook, comfort food that will satisfy hunger and cravings throughout the day. The service from the staff are always there and caring. I have 4 daughters who are very picky when it comes to breakfast. But if I suggest the other breakfast spots such as iHop, Denny's or other chains, they will always suggest Huckleberry. Even my brother-in-law & niece will suggest Huckleberry. It's that darn good!! My suggestion is to dine-in. experience the ambience and the environment. Enjoy the company of others and the fun staff. But If you are the type of people who needs to have your food delivered for whatever personal reason using an App. It won't be the same. Now I won't do the math, but you gotta understand the math of cooking, packaging of your order, then sitting on a pick up shelf sweating and waiting for your App driver to pick up your food and the drive time to your home. But I see reviews about how people complain on how long it took for delivery and why the food doesn't taste as good as people say. But with all that wait time at home. You simply could have driven yourself there, sit no more than 15-20 minutes, order your food and have your food at the table in less than 15 minutes. Then you will get the full flavor of that homestyle comfort food cooking. But hey that is my opinion & thoughts. Give this spot a try. They will thank you very much!

We came for breakfast and were seated quickly. Menu has a nice spread of omelets, skillets, benedicts with a southern influence. We were able to order easily and our food came out fast. Portions were pretty big with enough for leftovers. Food was tasty, especially the pancakes. We also love to order from their lunch menu. Prices feel on the higher end, but comparable to other breakfast chains. Inside was clean with plenty of tables. Service was fantastic and friendly. Overall a great location for good breakfast and lunch.

I frequently drive by Huckleberry's but have never visited. Mainly because I think breakfast foods are something that can easily be made at home for a fraction of the cost. However, my husband and I had a rare opportunity to go out to eat mid-day during the week and decided to pop into Huckleberry's for a late breakfast. There is ample parking so no worries! I know the Roseville location is a parking nightmare. We were instantly greeted as we came in and were told they were glad we were there. We were seated right away and quickly met with a smile from our server. From start to end we had a pleasant experience with the wait staff. I also feel this may be a family owned establishment and let me tell you... the ambiance is there and much noticed and appreciated. The portion sizes were huge and soooo very tasty. Naturally, I took home more than half of my food. As I write this, I haven't tried the blueberry muffin but I can tell from his texture that it is nice and fluffy. Price is on point and typical of all establishments. The chili sauce at the table is very flavorful and added experience. Would definitely like to come try lunch next time! Thank you Huckleberry's!

My hubby and I share the missisipi skillet I order the biscuits and gravy and I love the gravy and the biscuit was soft and fresh.

Food was delicious, large portions and great service. The place is clean. The waitress was very nice and split our meal. The Mississippi skillet. I would definitely love everything. I totally recommend it.

We came here for a birthday breakfast and there were 11 of us. Cassidy was great!! The service she provided was terrific! The food was good and the restaurant was clean. It was a great place go for breakfast. The swamp tea was also a big hit!!

    Cajun Benedict was amazing!

Service was pretty quick and the breakfast was good. I saw so many great dishes also, at our neighboring tables, this is one of those places you just know additional visits are necessary to check out other menu favorites. My French toast had a great flavor, delicious. The stack of chicken and waffles was our table superstar. I recommend leaving the grits alone, they were watery and lumpy. Maybe they had a bad day with the grits pot, but if they serve em' up like this everyday then grits should definitely be removed from the menu. Other than that, we will be back to check out Huckleberry's again!

I just want to give a huge thank you! The owner and staff are absolutely amazing so kind and generous. They donated 5 gallons of hot coffee to help our ministry serve the homeless in our community. That kind of heart and generosity is rare and so appreciated. The food and service here are always wonderful, but what really stands out is the way they care about people. Thank you, Huckleberry's, for being such a blessing to others!

Stuffed French Toast with huckleberry topping on the side--yummy!

After multiple good meals here, I thought I should update my review, as this spot continues to earn kudos for giving me a great brunch experience. Every time I come here, I have a nice time. All the food items have been tasty, the restaurant is very clean, seating area is spacious & open, ordering & food brought to table happen relatively quickly, and the entire staff is always so welcoming, attentive, helpful, and friendly!

Make sure to always ask whats on your item, even though theres a description. I ordered this sandwich, with no slaw and pickles on the side. When i received it, it was smothered in ranch. The description clearly does not include ranch, but the very rude lady I spoke to over the phone claimed there is always ranch on this sandwich. Very misleading. Sogged into the bread and made the breading of the chicken itself super soggy. Now, if the description stated there was any ranch on the sandwich itd be a whole different story. Ive been to 3 huckleberry locations and have ordered this from each one. There has never been ranch on it. Even the last time I got this item AT THIS location, there was no ranch on this item. They should really update their menu if theyre changing the items. Makes zero sense. False advertising and extremely misleading. Food is too expensive to just be playing games like this. Whoever the girl is that answered the phone and wouldnt give me her name, is lucky this was a delivery order. Blatant disrespect.

While the service was good, the food was not. Their chicken gumbo tasted like it came out of a can and there was very little chicken in it.

We learned on our very first visit how good the gumbo is and it's become a must ever since. The people who work here are friendly and you can tell they have a lot of regulars who stop in for food. There's a gravel lot right next to the building and you can take your food to go or enjoy it there. Our food took about 15-20 minutes and then we took it home to enjoy. The portions are definitely fair for the price. They also pack everything well for the ride home. The gumbo is our favorite, it's flavorful and packed with protein like their sausage, chicken, and shrimp and has just a hint of spice. We tried their riblets for the first time and it was a generous portion and we really enjoyed the bbq sauce they used. The mac and cheese is good, but I like mine creamier. It does have a little spice which was nice. The dressing was packed with flavor and we were excited they offered this side because you don't see it everywhere. Their hot water cornbread is definitely something they're known for and is really good on its own or dipped into the gumbo. The Palmer here tastes like Brisk raspberry tea mixed with lemonade, and we really enjoy this twist on it. Overall this spot is a local gem and we love visiting.

One…read morecustomer was sitting at a table waiting for her order. It's a small, very interesting place! (I found this restaurant by accident on Google.) I decided to stand there and review the very clear appetizing menu, taking a moment to soak in this unusual eating spot. I enjoyed the uniqueness and creativity of the layout--you have to be here to understand it. Anyway, as I was standing there, I heard a very pleasant voice ask, "May I help you?" I reached up and turned up my "pretend" hearing aid to make sure I heard that voice coming from a professional Young Queen. It made me forget I was at a soul food establishment! Usually, I am greeted with rolling eyes, laziness, and--most of all--attitude. (See one of my old podcasts link below regarding my opinion on soul food restaurants on iHeartRadio): https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-david-mack-show-105280474/episode/lena-s-soul-food-in-oakland-ca-119449772/?cmp=android_share&sc=android_social_share&pr=false Back to my review: Her name is Victoria... like the Queen! I told Victoria I was looking at the menu, which has a very nice variety of soul food selections. Victoria asked me if I would like to sample the gumbo. Sure! Victoria came back with a small, teasing sample, and after tasting it, I told her, "SOLD!" Just from the taste of that gumbo, I knew my Mother's Spirit was back there doing the cooking. It was a very cold day, and I would have eaten there, but because of the layout, I ordered the family size to-go. The gumbo also comes with hot water cornbread. Victoria took my order, my payment, and advised me it would be ready in five minutes. I waited in my car. I came back in four minutes, and my order was already bagged and ready for pickup. I "suffered" during the hour-long drive home, smelling the aroma of that meal the whole way! Finally home, I opened the secure bag, filled to the top container, and took out the prize. The food presentation was excellent! I put the gumbo in a bowl, and it was still very hot. I then proceeded to taste my meal: Rice: Nice and fluffy! Chicken: Flavored perfectly. Soup Juice: Perfect. Prawns: Excellent. Sausage: Plump and sliced perfectly. All many other ingredients: Very tasty with a hint of spice. Note: There were no crab legs to make a mess (which I did NOT miss) and no slimy okra (which was great)! The sweet hot water cornbread was very buttery and looked like a thick pancake. I put mine in the toaster oven to warm it up and get it a little crisp. It was amazing! That gumbo not only warmed me up, but it also put me to sleep like a big baby! If this restaurant continues with the trajectory of this review (professional attitude, unique layout, and great menu items), they will be the "go-to" soul food spot on the 80! I wouldn't change a thing! I will return because I want to report on another food item I had my eye on before the gumbo sample! Go check out this spot and see the Young Queen Victoria! Make sure you tip her for great service (No Tax On Tips), just like I did! David Mack (Reviewer-in-Chief)

The fatty brisket was good and flavorful but for the price, I was hoping to get more brisket. The tatter tots were crispy and good. - Kids cheeseburger: it was okay. I'd say it was a slider instead of burger. But the bun was soft and the patty was well cooked. The fries were good and crunchy. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing this time around. The menu changed a bit and they no longer serve the shrimp tempura and the salmon entrees. Overall, the food was good but not memorable. The dessert was average. The restaurant strived for an upscale vibe backed by the menu price but was unfortunately not by the service. Our server seems a bit scattered and indifferent. One of our guest ordered a pour and a half of a red wine and got a half pour portion. Our little one wanted filet mignon but didn't really care for the sides that come with the entree. So the server told us they can do just the protein and it will be about $27 for the plate to which we were ok with. The food came out as a full entree with the sides. When questioned, the server was non- apologetic. Our little tyke ended up with the most expensive item on the bill at $55! Sad to say that after our meal, we unanimously decided this restaurant will be off our list.
