Ordered delivery and I was thoroughly impressed! Food was packaged perfectly, my Pad Thai was piping hot and packed with flavor, and all of the dishes were clean. I always find my saucy noodle/rice deliveries have greasy dishes or spilled/sticky sauces but everything was packaged extremely well. The Pad Thai has fantastic flavor, the veggies are crisp and fresh, and the peanuts add the perfect little crunch. Add a twist of lime and you're in business for the next three days of lunch or dinner. The cream cheese wontons were mediocre, I wish there was more wrapper to kinda soak up some of that cream cheese but it has a good flavor and I love the dipping sauce. The eggroll wasn't my favorite but I'm not huge on eggrolls to begin with but they look really good and they're perfectly crispy. Now, the Vietnamese coffee cannot be slept on. Order it every single time, just trust me. Creamy, bold flavor but it doesn't feel like you're drinking a cup of creamer. I'd go back for the coffee and Pad Thai once a week if I could. read more

The name is a bit odd; I don't understand the use of the word "Jungle," but maybe that's just me. Jungle Kitchen offers fast Asian fusion and is best for takeout, as the place is quite basic. We picked up their Pad Thai and spring rolls, which were comparable to those we've had in Thai restaurants in the area, as well as stir-fried broccoli, which comes with a choice of protein. Prices are very reasonable, and the portions are quite adequate. Jungle Kitchen is a bit hard to find. There are several buildings on Lake Drive, which is south of MN Highway 5, and you won't see it until you're right on top of it. Chanhassen needs good Asian restaurants. Jungle Kitchen is okay, but it could be better. read more

We tried the orange chicken and pad thai. The orange chicken was really good! The chicken tasted fresh without being dry. The chicken also didn't have too much breading on it like a lot of Chinese places do. It came with white rice. The pad Thai was meh. It had a strong sour flavor without enough sweetness to it. Maybe too much tamarind? It also lacked the nutty flavor that some pad thai has. I added shrimp to it which helped. Everything is served in the standard black tupper to-go containers. Yikes, has this place changed recipes? Apps I previously enjoyed are bland and flavorless. The lemongrass chicken should be scalp-prickling spicy, but it was not at all. The little curls of lemongrass stalks add an unpleasant texture. The Spring Rolls came with a sauce that was like sugar water and the rolls themselves were just flavorless and plain. I was born and raised in Hawaii, work as a Flight Attendant traveling the world, so I must say I have tried many different cuisines many, many times. I am not an expert, but I am one to be honest. Please save your money! I ordered shrimp chow mein, with extra garlic, and it was so completely FLAVORLESS, I was forced to recook it myself at home to try to "doctor it up" just so I could eat it. Btw, every review which talks about their "lo mein" should be regarded as the ignorant reviewers they are: THIS PLACE DOES NOT OFFER LO MEIN! I don't know which is worse: this restaurant ignoring my extra garlic request, or adding so little I could literally not taste ANY garlic. Regardless, the entire dish had almost no flavor, even if I never asked for extra garlic. I have never had such a bland chow mein in my life before, and I've eaten at some pretty sketch places. Plus, the bill came to close to $20! This is a sham and a shame. I will never eat here again, and I suggest you go elsewhere if you want any flavor whatsoever. I stand by my review. I support small businesses, as I chose to eat there to begin with. This type of bland food is typically found with major chain restaurants and so I'd hoped it would be decent. Especially with the focus on Thai dishes like all the curries and noodles. My sister recommended this spot and I was skeptical just because you typically have to go to the twin cities to get some good Asian food but I was very impressed!! The dishes are choose your own protein and you can add on more protein and veggies, too. It's about $15 for a dish if you're including a protein. Classic takeout Tupperware and the white rice comes in pretty small portions so just know that ahead of time! Will definitely order from here again. A go to for me! I love the pho, thai fried rice and the lo mein. They're great at following specific order directions for changes or additions. A downside I've noticed is their meat is usually chewy/dry. They used to marinate the pork but don't seem to anymore. Chicken is very bland. It's ok when mixed in with sauces etc. read more

My husband and I were craving Asian food, so we decided to try Jungle Kitchen. I got the pineapple fried rice + chicken and my husband got the orange chicken. We also ordered egg rolls and cream cheese wontons on the side. The orange chicken was the better of the two main dishes, but a little dry. As for my dish, the pineapple fried rice wasn't bad, but there could have been some more seasoning. I had to add so much salt and pepper to give some flavor. The chicken that came with it had zero flavor. It was literally bland, boneless skinless chicken breasts. The egg rolls, however, were delicious, but they came with an oil to dip them in instead of sweet and sauce. I wasn't sure how to use that. The cream cheese won tons were also good and came with a sweet and sour sauce, which I was happy with. Over all, the food wasn't terrible, but I won't be going back. read more

We ordered ahead of time online with two entrees and some egg rolls. We also decided to get fried rice with the entrees. I personally ordered the orange chicken and the flavor and texture was disappointing. I can typically get through food that I've paid for, but I ended up throwing most of it away. However, the egg roll and the fried rice were good. However, I don't think that we will be back any time soon. Especially since it is more costly than similar options. read more

My first impression when I walked in was whether I walked in the wrong door, I thought I had walked into the storage room with the amount of boxes everywhere. The men's restroom seems as if it also serves as the janitor's closet with all the cleaning supplies and mop buckets. I ordered the Pad See Ew and was only able to eat a few bites--bland and unappetizing. For a noodle dish that literally translate as "stir fry soy sauce noodles", there was no color leading me to believe that soy sauce was not used. Either that or maybe a tsp was used for the entire dish. Disappointed. I'm the contrary, the sesame ball appetizer was crunchy, flavorful and delicious. Jungle Kitchen is amazing. My family and I discovered it last month while looking for gluten and dairy-free restaurants, and we've been back many times! The food is beyond amazing. They make their own chili oil and secret sauce and everything always tastes fantastic. The girl who greets you and takes your order and checks on you while you're dining in is so nice, it's really refreshing to meet someone that nice. The place is small but we love dining in because the booths are comfortable and the food comes in to-go containers so it's easy to take home. We were visiting the the late great Prince's home/museum last fall and had a craving for Thai food after the tour, so we ended up here, in his home town. There was only one other party there as it was close to 2pm local when we stopped. The interior and decor was clean and contemporary. We ordered 1 of each: Flammin' Dish - Stir fried green bean in red curry paste Lemongrass Chicken - Stir fried fresh lemongrass, basil and chicken We were especially impressed when we asked to make it extra spicy and they complied! Often times, we are not taken serious with this type of request. Needless to say, this food was excellent, and it most certainly would have met the late great Prince's approval (although he would have ordered the tofu version, as he was a strict vegan). Stopped in for take out last night, and was pleasantly surprised with my red curry! Flavor was good, however the chicken was a bit chewy & I was thrown off by all the green beans (I've never seen in curry, maybe I'm just oblivious to that though). Also tried the taro milk tea with boba. It was a very very thick taste, a little too much for me personally. Not sure if they used condensed milk in this?? Otherwise a good flavor. This place in amazing! The first dish I had there was the crying shrimps...I was completely blown away on how amazing that was. I highly recommend! You can also choose the level of 'heat' you want with your food. Sooo good!! Tried the Cambodian noodles which is much better for sit down than the takeout. The spicey Cajun shrimp was amazing they were spicier than expected but I love spicey so it was great! Thai basil fried rice...YES! Potstickers were average, still tasty. The wontons were so good and crispy and they have the best sweet and sour sauce to go with it. I tried another dish and it was really good too but don't remember what it was I think it was just the regular fried rice. However, I was not a fan of the egg rolls they tasted more like frozen non authentic egg rolls if you know what I mean. Overall SO GREAT can't wait to try out more!! read more
