Visited on a Thursday for lunch. The food was so good! We ordered the Special Egg Rolls with Pork for an appetizer which were delicious. The Drunken Noodles & Pad Thai were so flavorful and good. They have very large serving sizes so definitely can order a plate to share. Service to order was a little slow but our food came out quickly once we placed our order. Finally! Thai food in MN that can be made actually spicy. The person who took my take out order was especially friendly. I ordered my dish at a hot spicy level and it was actually hot! All too often I'll order something hot or Thai spicy and it is slightly above ketchup for spice level. Not this dish, with every bite I had a smile on my face and bead of sweat on my forehead. It also wasn't just spicy for the sake of being spicy. The sweet in the dish played out perfectly with the heat. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Husband and I decided to go here for a late dinner and we are glad we did! The place was still busy but we got seated right away. This is your typical restaurant that is in a strip mall, pretty casual seating. Our favorite dish was the massaman curry- it was 10/10 delicious. It came with chunks of potatoes, chicken, veggies and a side of white rice We also loved the fried beef egg roll (#2)- they were so light and crispy! We didn't love the chicken pad Thai, it was okay and doesn't have much flavor. Gotta add extra lime and sriracha sauce! This Thai restaurant is so good that the only thing that I am disappointed in is that I was unaware of it sooner. Tucked into Chanhassen is Na's Thai- that stacks all the flavor high in every dish they bring out. I ordered one of their specials called. Khao Poon Nam Gai which is a traditional Laotian soup with a curry both base and rice vermicelli noodles. I later found out it was part of their 25th anniversary celebration! It was a large portion, so I brought some home and had the remaining for dinner later. I think I spent about $17 and I believe it accurately reflected what was brought to the table. there was ample seating and looks like during the spring and summertime, they have a patio to sit on. Parking was a non-issue since they have plenty out front! Definitely make time to stop here on your next outing whether it be for lunch or dinner. read more

Love Na's!! We had driven by this place for years without stopping but we popped in this summer and have been back 3 or 4 times since. The interior is nothing special but the staff is VERY friendly and welcoming. We have ordered about half the menu and favorites are Pad Bai Kra Prao (Stir fried chicken, basil, onion, mushrooms and bell peppers) and Pad Thai. The Special Egg Rolls are incredible and are the one thing we have ordered every time. Highly recommend giving Na's a try. read more

i have been a customer on Na's for years. Ordered soup which was bland and soapy tasting the special egg rolls were not delicious as they use to be. The waitress was nice but slow. My husband and I accidentally left a $5 out of the cash we left her. we quickly realized our mistake and went back inside, the manager yelled at us - you only left a $1 tip!!! so loudly and repeated it three times. We told her of our mistake and handed the waitress a $5 bill ($6 tip on a $26 bill). The manager never thanked us for correcting our mistake - instead scowled at us when we left. They have lost a customer who patronized their restaurant for decades. read more

One of my favorite spots in the west metro. Always gives great portions and friendly service. I think they do mainly takeout and lunch service because every time I've been the dining room has been pretty empty. It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. They're Toam Yum soup is some of the best in the cities and I have to get it every time. Just wish their spring rolls had tofu as well, because that's my favorite food. Not a ton of vegetarian options but you have a decent selection with all the pick-your-protein dishes. Definitely won't go hungry. It's also hard to find silver thread noodle Pad Woon Sen in the cities and Na's makes a killer version. Their egg rolls are also massive and packed full. Na's is DELICIOUS! We had a few different curries and they've all been so flavorful. Don't skip the chicken satay either! That sauce is killer. The special egg rolls are also soooo crispy and good. Christina is delightful if you dine in but the service is just as good to-go. Everything is packed tight and secure and stays hot all the way home. My only note is that my choice for spice so far hasn't been that consistent. The first time, I had 3 stars and thought it could be a little spicer. The next time my husband ordered me 3 stars to-go and I said oh no I forgot to tell you I wanted 4 stars. Well GOOD thing he got 3 because it was hotter than HELL. I could barely eat it so thank god I had some cream I mixed in. But the flavor is *STILL *SO *GOOD that I just popped a tums and kept going lol. I think I'm gonna stick with 2 stars for now even when I was 3-4 stars consistently at all Thai or Indian restaurants when I lived in Seattle. Oh how the mighty have fallen! Na's has AMAZING food!!!! I love Thai food, and nas is my #1 in the twin cities- the other being naviyas in Minneapolis. An excellent option for Thai food in this area. We were very impressed with the flavor of the pad thai and the spring rolls were great as well! Service was low key but prompt. Wow. Another great find. Wonderful family owned Thai restaurant. They do offer all the usual Thai dishes that many people know, but also several that we had not seen before. Several whole fish dishes as well as a whole chicken dish (lemongrass chicken). Highly recommend it! It's a spatchcock chicken (backbone removed) marinated in a lemongrass mixture. Baked and then flash fried to crisp up the skin. Served with sticky rice. Absolutely delicious! Also, it's nice to visit a family owned restaurant that cares. When we were there on our last visit the owner stopped by to not only ask how our experience was but also to apologize for some of the noise as the family was celebrating not only their daughters dance recital but also a family members birthday. Honestly they were not noisy or disturbing at all. But it was great to see an owner that recognized that they might have been and was in the dinning room engaging all their customers. Love supporting a local family owned business. I was famished after doing a 3 hour tour at Paisley Park, so I visited Na's Thai before venturing back to Minneapolis. The service was great, even though they were incredibly busy with constant phone calls for to go orders. My order of shrimp fried rice was enough for 2 or 3 people. The spring roll appetizer was well worth the price too. Overall a great experience. read more

When you visit you will not be disappointed if/when you order the fresh spring rolls- a chef's kiss! I prefer my Pad Thai or any noodle dish for that matter to be saucy and Na's gives me what I like. The portion sizes are also harty which often gives you two meals for the price of one. Spice level go from mild to xxHot. A friendly staff with fairly quick service! They serve wine & beer, offer outdoor seating when the weather is right, and have ample free parking. Near the heart of downtown Chan. You can stop here for lunch while doing your weekend errands or enjoy a nice dinner out. read more

Perhaps we don't order the right stuff, but we were really disappointed with Na's Thai Cafe. We ordered the vegetable green curry - it was overly sweet, had no spice and had very few vegetables in it. For being the vegetable curry, we would have expected more than a handful of veggies. They do use Thai eggplant vs the larger purple ones, so that was cool. The stuffed bamboo shoots are fried - it doesn't mention that in the menu - and they were so tough that we could not bite through them. The flavor was pretty awful, but maybe that's personal preference. We ended up throwing them away. The Pad Woon Sen was good enough. Definitely the best of the three dishes we ordered. I'd say this was a strike out for us and I'm not sure we will be back. We ordered take out so I can't comment on ambiance. read more

I've been eating here for almost a decade and let me just tell you their egg rolls... FIREEEE!!! Most Asian restaurants egg rolls taste like frozen ones you buy at the store and heat up, but NAS OH My goodness! The crunch, the fullness, you get 3 large sized egg rolls and I love to get them with their sweet and spicy fish sauce (#8 sauce) since I'm not a big peanut sauce fan. Even the veggie ones are mouth watering. The shrimp rolls(#8) is also really good although I feel as if they might have changed the recipe over the years. I never liked spring rolls until I had theirs. They were always my go-to for pho when I'm sick since it's close by. The broth is rich with flavor I don't feel the need to add as much sides into it. My company's headquarters is located in Chanhassen so I come here every so often for training and stuff. Once I'm here I have my usual places that I go and Na's is one of them! I've been here 5 times and they're consistently great. I shall tell you why! Atmosphere/Appearance: Not quite a hole in the wall, but it might as well be. Lol. Set right in the corner of a restaurant plaza is this gem and a gem it is! They offer a decent lunch buffet with about 12-14 choices or you can order from the menu. There may be about 10-12 tables inside, some you can put together to make a big one for those long office lunches. It's never really too loud though no matter how busy it gets. Service: There is usually 1 to 2 people running around taking care of everything. Then when they're not doing that, they're ringing you up at the front counter or hand-shaping those delicious crab ragoons we love so dearly. If they're not around the restaurant is surely small enough for you to get someone's attention to get something you need. Food: I sometimes get the buffet, but when I'm craving pho, I get it here. Recently I tried the Roast Duck Curry and that was excellent. You can't go wrong with the buffet or ordering from the menu. Value: Buffet will run you $11.99. I mean, for unlimited food, why not?! Lol. If I can remember my pho was $9.99 and I added extra meatballs for $1.00. The roast duck curry was more on the expensive side. I think it was like $17.99 or something, but it's been a while. My bad. Still, this place is a great value if you're looking to scratch that Taiwanese itch. Always a nice spot to stop in for lunch. You will not be disappointed. We visited this place for dinner and we were seated within 2 minutes. The person who helped us was very kind and we appreciate their service. We ordered the Chicken Satay, Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice and Spicy Chicken Noodles. The Chicken Satay was absolutely delicious. The fried rice was very good. It could have had smaller pieces of pineapple making it easier to get a mix of everything in one spoonful. The noodles were great. We went with mild spice level on most of the dishes as we were told the medium spice level is a little hot. They have both indoor and patio seating and the service seemed to be equally faster in both. We tried their indoor seating. Overall a great experience and will definitely visit again. read more

I'm a sucker for good Thai food and after a rough week decided to treat myself to dinner out. We arrived at Na's at six on a Thursday and it was pleasantly busy. I immediately spotted an issue noted by other reviewers: one person was busing tables, wiping tables, greeting guests, taking orders, and playing cashier. It was a lot. We were seated immediately at a still-moist table and paper placemats and silverware rolls were dropped on the table with plastic-covered menus. We searched the menu for some of our favorites and goblets of water (with orange slices!) and a carafe quickly appeared. The carafe was a pale yellow making the water appear straw-colored, but it was clear when poured in the glasses. Our appetizer order took about 15 minutes, Egg Rolls with chicken and Spicy Chicken Wings. I have to say the egg rolls were unique in my experience. The wrapper was so thin and expertly fried it literally shattered with each bite. I suspect it was rice paper, and the effect was a delightful crispy bite that let the filling be the star. The egg rolls were accompanied by a clear sauce topped with crushed peanuts that is a "secret family recipe." I tried and failed to identify all the ingredients of the slightly sweet, slightly viscous, yummy sauce. RC had the wings and the spice level was hot, which he loves. I spooned some of his dark brown, spicy sauce into my egg rolls; it was that good. At this point our paper napkins were in tatters from munching on messy wings and egg rolls and when our mains were delivered I requested more napkins. She brought us one each. I guess that's a conservation move? So with sticky fingers, we dove into our mains; Pad Thai with beef for RC and and "Matsman" (that's how they spelled Massaman) Curry with chicken for me. I was surprised my portion appeared small - ladled into a bowl smaller than the one with the accompanying rice - but then I couldn't even finish it. The curry was rich and golden with the medium heat level tempered by the sweet coconut milk. The potatoes were tender and and the generous hunks of chicken were moist and perfectly cooked. When I realized I couldn't finish, I tipped my bowl to spoon out every drop of that delicious curry. RC's Pad Thai was not as successful. It was hot, as ordered, and a mass of noodles on his plate. The portion was enormous, but the noodles were chewy and the thin slivers of beef very overcooked and flavorless. They are far more successful with chicken. There were a few broccoli florets, but overall he didn't care for it the texture. At $49 for two apps and two mains it's a tad expensive, but not out of line. I would definitely go back for the curries and the egg rolls. Na herself is the chef at the eponymous cafe and this family-run business should continue to enjoy a long run here in Chan. read more
