Stopped at June's Restaurant during a LONG road trip from Alabama. My husband and I had absolutely the best chicken fried chicken ever! Started with a fresh, delicious salad with homemade ranch dressing. I tried to finish all my chicken and mashed potatoes, but it was a little too much for me. My husband polished his off easily. Was camping for the night in the area and saw this restaurant on line. Wanted good comfort food and wasn't disappointed. Their fried sliced pickles had a great flavor and the country fried steak took up the plate. The mash potatoes and gravy were terrific! Made 3 meals out of it. The pies sounded terrific, but I had eaten my calories in potatoes and gravey.. Excellent staff, just made you feel at home! My family eats here 4-5 times per month, but this was the worst experience we've ever had here. They were busy, but even so, waitresses were standing around talking to each other & customers like they didn't have a crowd standing at the door waiting for a table. It took nearly 20 minutes for one of the waitresses to even acknowledge us & another 45 to get our food. When we finally did get our food, my order was wrong, like it has been the last three times we've eaten here. I always order the same thing, so apparently I should try something else, I guess. I can be fairly patient when I know the restaurant is busy & the waitresses are doing their best to keep up, but that wasn't the case here tonight. The service has been declining lately & this will most likely be the last time we eat here for quite awhile. read more

I have been a big fan of June's for many years. It's 20 miles from home and glad to drive for that boneless chicken!

The store front could use some attention. The canopy over the door is in disrepair and in very bad shape. They do show their team spirit and school pride with the window paint. However was very unnoticeable. Inside however the dinning area is very nice. The ice machine is real loud.. There is also no separation between the Kitchen and the dinning area so you can hear all the kitchen noise too. Also the restrooms are not ADA compliant. You have to go up a set of stairs to access the restrooms As for the food. It came out pretty fast from the kitchen. I had the chicken fried steak, very good portion size. My wife got boneless chicken with mashed potatoes half order. She was content with what he had. Was good too. If you order a burger be sure to order it done. Or the way you want it. Cause it did come out medium. In all great experience. Good size portions, friendly waitstaff and the price is what you would expect. Family of 4 was about $40. read more

SERVICE IS AWFUL!!!! Waited 10 minutes before someone came back so we could ask for silverware.. OH WAIT we still never got it so my father had to get up himself and walk to the drink station and get us some. On top of that they took my fiancés drink and just never brought it back.. we weren't even half way through dinner. Staff just walks by you and ignores you if you aren't a local. We were on a road trip and looking for a good lunch spot, we tried June's based on other Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! The BLT sandwiches were delicious with crisp bacon, fresh veggies, and toasted bread. We split a coconut cream pie for dessert which was also yummy. This is definitely a small town diner type place, complete with rooster paintings on the wall and tons of support for the local high school football team. The service was prompt and the staff were very friendly. This is definitely a great place to go if you want a meal in authentic small-town America. We stopped here for an off-the-beaten-path lunch while on a weekend road trip. The reviews were encouraging and we really like the downtown location. We tried the pickleos which are pretty good (fried dill pickle slices with a little kick) and opted for the soup and sandwich lunch special. Soup of the day was Chicken Tortilla...what was received was a cheesy soup that was pretty light on chicken. Turkey sandwiches were fine. The service was great - prompt and friendly. Thought they'd be battered, not breaded, but the chicken sandwich sure made up for what the cheese balls were lacking. Everyone was real nice even though some locals were certainly starring at us out of towners. My husbands burger was alright, nothing to write home about. The boys grilled cheese and fries must've been good because he devoured everything on his plate before we left.
