First time eating since the reopen. Still very solid. Was a little slow for how empty the restaurant was. Started off with the cheese sticks and they were good. I got the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and okra. Wish the okra was more crispy. Not sure but portions seem to be a little smaller than before. Still a good meal. Wife got the bone in ribeye and was cooked to a good medium and was very tender and flavorful. I had a couple bites as well so I can attest. My teenager is in love with this place. Everytime we come through he makes me stop. The service is incredible and if you can't find anything on this menu, what is wrong with you? We've never found something that is bad. But you know what's better than the food and desserts? The staff. They are amazingly kind and sweet and attentive and because this place is nestled in a small town, they have small town love to share. The building is spacious and kept immaculate. It is a bit off the beaten path but if you are leaving the lake or are coming through off 69...stop. I promise it's worth it. And if you leave hungry it's 150% your fault. We we're staying nearby at Carlton Landing and this place popped up as highly recommended on Yelp, so we decided to try it out. All the food was great. I didn't get a picture of the kids meals but they got the chicken strips and fries, each meal had 2 whole giant chicken breasts! Needless to say that was too much food for a kids meal. This place was a bit more expensive than I would have thought but we were happy with the quality. The service was a bit slow, guessing they were short staffed by one waitress. Not terribly surprising considering how hard finding help is in more remote locations. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The place has a rustic feel to it which was fitting for the style of food and area. We will be back when we visit the area again. read more

They weren't bad, just nothing to get excited about the fries tasted like they've been sitting around for a while and the mushrooms were definitely previously frozen from a bag. On vacation at the lake, and decided to try Dobber's since they have great reviews. Ordered online and got to go since I had my dogs with me. Had the chicken fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. The portions are generous, and the food is good. The side salad was huge and only $3.99... which is great compared to OKC prices. Recommend the honey mustard dressing. If you like chicken fried steak, you have to get it... so good! Dobber's definitely had an update our waiter. Goldie was incredible. She was super kind the only problem was we had to be moved tables because of a terrible fly problem. We stopped in here on a Tuesday about 4:00 pm after a long drive. There were 4 tables already seated and finishing their meals. We waited to be seated as advised by the sign, for a long time. A person in the back finally acknowledged us and said someone will be with you shortly, we said no problem, after standing there for 5 to 10 more minutes the person who had acknowledged us came out and seated us and took our drink order. After a small wait a server brought our drinks and took our order. I had the meatloaf. Not being a fan of sweet sauce on anything I was really happy that this one came with a savory tomato sauce on top. Hubby had the ribs and hot links, they were delicious and the BBQ was spicy, and not sweet another bonus in our book. More tables arrived. Our server swooped up to the table and picked up my plate which had about half of my dinner left, she didn't ask if I was finished or if I wanted a box so I asked if she was boxing it up for me, she didn't say anything just set it down and asked how many boxes we wanted. We thought perhaps we had arrived at shift change and said so told her we understood although she didn't acknowledge that. Thinking we would help her close the check We asked for 2 boxes, 2 more beverages, 2 desserts to go and the check. The nice person who had seated us came and checked on us and seemed genuinely to care if we'd liked our meal and enjoyed ourselves. The server came back with the two desserts, plated so we had to remind her they were to go and she kinda had an attitude. We felt like we had completely put her out by coming in to eat. Food was excellent would have been an easy 5 stars but the server wasn't friendly and didn't appear to care about serving us. I've worked in the service industry and understand shift change and we get that 4:00 is the in between time but you don't pick up someone's plate if it still has food on it without asking if the person has finished and being friendly doesn't really take much effort I always thought it was part of the job. read more

Menu said house made salsa, it we were told it wasn't, so that was disappointing. The staff was super nice when we came in and it was clean! We ate burgers (buns are buttery and toasted, yum) , chicken fried chicken (pretty decent) , chicken tenders (my son loved them, the gravy was heavenly) , and kids Mac and cheese (kraft, but it looked like it had been sitting out for awhile, it was all stuck together and my daughter didn't like it at all). The onion rings and fried okra were the highlight of our experience We need up sending back the Mac and cheese because it wasn't worth $4/5, I figured they would take it off the bill, or at least apologize for the lack of quality, but the waitress just kinda looked at us and said, "oh". Great experience. We came because of the Yelp community!!! We had the fried pickles and they didn't disappoint! They were slivers cut longways of Spears lightly dipped in a tempura type batter. Ranch is so delicious!!! I had my own keto styled philly cheese and I used some ranch on it. So yummy!!! Coleslaw was similar to my homemade! Celery seed, sweet, and somewhat creamy. Ate it all! Husband got hamburger steak and salad, and homemade sautéed green beans which were on par and not expected at a Mom and pop place! The only thing was the brown gravy was too salty!
