I unfortunately lack the confidence to go to the gym or take classes alone so when I heard about the 1:1 sessions, I had to jump on it. I am like a tree trunk, SO STIFF. But so far with 3 classes, I am already able to touch my toes! WOOHOO lol June is patient and knowledgeable. She noticed the troublesome areas of my body (I.e. unevenness of my hips, slouching, etc) and has been helping me focus on those areas to fix. Finally writing a review for June Pilates, as I completed my 3 private lessons with the instructor (Jiyoon) and just got started with group lessons this month. I first found out about this place as I was doing some research on Yelp, looking for Pilates classes in the Koreatown area. After reading all the great Yelp reviews, I reached out to her via Instagram. She took time to answer all my questions and I scheduled a time for an evaluation. During the evaluation, you learn about your body fat, muscle %, etc. She even snaps some pictures of you against the wall to take a look at your posture, etc. -- This was very helpful for me as I saw areas I needed to work on. I ended up signing up for my 3 private lessons on the day of the eval. I highly recommend private lessons before signing up for more classes, so you get a feel for the instructor. I've actually had a pretty negative experience with an older Korean instructor at another pilates studio in ktown so I really wanted to make sure I liked my instructor. With one reformer and one cadillac, June Pilates may be smaller than other studios in ktown but I care more about the quality of my lessons. Plus, it's actually quite cozy and well-managed. What I love about June Pilates is definitely the instructor (Jiyoon). She pushes you enough to motivate you without being discouraging or too intimidating. She will also give you her full undivided attention during the lessons. I was really satisfied with my private lessons at June Pilates and signed up for more classes. She offers great package deals on group lessons (monthly) that are semi-private. Her group lessons are smaller than other studios, which allows her to be more hands-on and focused on her students during the classes. She will help you adjust your posture and make sure you are working the correct muscles. The 50-minute class goes by very quickly and I can assure you will leave feeling like you got a great workout!! The place may be a bit tricky to find - it's on the 2nd floor of the yellow building on Mariposa (across from the parking structure for citi market). Once you pull into the side of the building, you'll see some spots that say reserved (perpendicular to the other parking spots). I have been told it's okay to park there. Once you park, go up the steps to the 2nd floor and press the bell for the skin care business. They will open the door for you and June Pilates is straight to your left down the hallway (last door). **PARKING: There is a FREE lot in the back, which is very limited as they share with the other businesses in the building, but I usually don't have an issue finding a spot. $ PAYMENT: She currently offers cash/venmo payments only, but has said that she plans on accepting credit card payments in the near future. read more

Five stars is not enough to express how much I respect and compliment this quaint, private pilates studio. June is an amazing instructor because she is professional, precise, and knowledgeable. She provides one-on-one lessons or couple lessons. Each session is roughly 50 min--which is comparably standard with other Pilates classes. My first intro session was mostly measuring and reviewing my body composition. We went over my goals and with the remaining time, headed over the Cadillac and chair to do some brief Pilates stretches and workouts. I immediately purchased the ten-class package (comparably less pricier than other Pilates classes, esp for one-on-one sessions). I've been doing two pilates sessions per week with June for the past month and a half, and I am addicted. Tbh, I've taken group Pilates classes before and I don't think I'll ever go back. It's been over 2 years coming here now and I love it. Working out regularly was not my thing at all but if I'm coming to this place twice a week since 2020 (even with 20min driving), that says everything. After attending a few other studios, I realized group lessons don't really work for pilates because the instructor has to be right next to you for a better posture and safety (super important). My instructor is very knowledgeable and she can customize your lesson upon your body condition. This place is not like you just come here to stretch your lulu lemon. June is the BEST pilates instructor in Ktown. I've been coming here for about 3 years and each session had a different learning posture and exercise, so it wasn't boring. June is very professional and she really knows how to adjust the posture and improve the balance of the body for each individual. Highly recommend! I took duo sessions before and currently taking private (1:1) sessions. The instructor is super nice but gets you to work out and use your muscles during the session. She takes pictures of your body posture on your first day and continues to take them time to time to see the progress. I actually can see my posture getting better in the picture! She also has BMI and fat percentage measuring machine and will look at your body numbers to keep the progress. I can tell that she is very dedicated to her work and I love it! I strongly recommend this place because of the instructor. She's friendly but not too soft, so you really can excerise during the session. And she is very knowledgeable about movements of body and muscles. When I started the pilates at this place, there were a lot of excerises that I couldn't do. Whenever that happened, she's been suggesting substitutes which are little easier and yet bringing the same/similar benefits to my body like building up some muscles and burning calories. So now I can do way more advanced exercises which I never thought I would be able to do when started. After many years of trying different Pilates studios and personal trainers, I happened upon June Pilates and it has been so amazing. She is very knowledgeable about the human body in ways I haven't seen with my other trainers in the past. I don't even tell her where my body has been hurting and she just knows. She asks me, "Doesn't your back hurt here?" and shows me how to relax the muscle or stretch it out. During our consultation, she took pictures and outlined what part of my body needed to be worked on and why.
