Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

He is a completely down to earth guy that will customize a workout regime to achieve your fitness goals. I joked with Paul that he should be a therapist because of his friendly and outgoing demeanor. We came up with a low carb diet regime and he had great tips to give. Without diet, your body will become more toned and lean. With diet, expect to lose weight in addition to becoming toned. You can't forget to do both! I'll continue to go here until I lose my desired weight. I highly recommend Paul to anyone who is serious about losing pounds, wanting to tone up, and looking for a great personal trainer.

The trainers do a great job keeping things organized while pushing players to work hard and improve. You can tell they care about development, not just running kids through drills. If you're looking for a gym where players can get better, build confidence, and enjoy the process, NXTLVL is a great choice. The coaches pour into you and take their time making sure you are safe but challenged. It was such a phenomenal feeling to get my first snatch and I completed the Murph back in 2016. I cried! Everyone was cheering me on as I finished running! And I NEVER EVER RAN BEFORE! I have been working out here at CFS since 2015 and absolutely love the people and owner. There is a sense of comrade and encouragement to leave no one behind. Kid and pet friendly too! I had a baby in 2017 and CFS has helped me so much to reach my goals. They do fill up the entire class so the instructor isn't demonstrating how to do the moves, but she does walk around and correct form/help you transition. I appreciated this class was so much more focused on making sure you nail the basics because too many trendy studios try to "push" students do harder moves than their core is ready for. I already weight lift so I like Pilates to help me recover and practice good form (especially because I'm prone to not engage my core enough when I lift!). I'm sure their non beginner class is more challenging, but this was a perfect, restorative Saturday morning work out. I also liked the intro course because there were students from all age groups and no pretentious vibe that I've had at other studios where students judge if you're in aesthetic clothes or not (people ranged from cute fits to comfy gym clothes so you can totally do both here). Looking forward to coming back whenever I need a good recovery stretch and to perfect my core strength!

You can grab 2 yoga mats to make it more cushioned. The class itself was ok, I'm new to yoga so some of the exercises were hard esp holding the position with your abs. For Yoga: don't need to bring anything . They provide yoga mats What kept bothering me was the amount of ants on the ground near where I was. It was super bothersome. I couldn't even concentrate on the class. Even though I killed some ants, there were still more crawling on my mat and around my area. I told the instructor who said she'll let the owner know. I hope the owner cleans the studio. Parking is around the building and free parking. The location of the entrance of the building is on the street side so you'll have to walk to the street side to enter the place.

But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

We were craning our necks for a cool 20 minutes trying to figure out what the message meant and I didn't figure it out until looking it up on Reddit when I got home. Not exactly standard park entertainment, but definitely memorable. Also worth noting, right across the street we came across a full Zumba class happening in a small private studio. Apparently it runs every Thursday evening with a $7.00 cover. If you're into that kind of thing, it could be a fun way to switch things up. Tried HOTWORX today and I honestly think the concept is so cool. It's a 24/7 fitness studio that combines sauna sessions with HIIT workouts, yoga, Pilates, and more. Each workout happens inside an infrared sauna room, which definitely makes you sweat in the best way possible. The workouts are video guided and pre recorded, but they rotate instructors and routines so it doesn't feel repetitive. Each sauna room can fit up to 3 people, but I got lucky and had the room to myself today which made the experience even better. They also have a really nice gym setup with weights and equipment so you can mix in strength training before or after your session. Big shoutout to Kit, the owner, for being so welcoming and thorough in explaining how everything works. Recently had the pleasure of trying out Hot Worx Gym in Fullerton, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. One of the standout features of Hot Worx Gym is its intimate atmosphere. I revisited the gym after leaving my initial review. The staff and manager, Lo, maintain the gym and all the infrared saunas in clean condition. HOTWORX, a place I've been visiting for a few months now, has its pros and cons. The infrared sauna is fantastic, and the 24/7 operation and easy booking process are convenient. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, there's a significant downside: the interior of the sauna is extremely dusty, and hair is everywhere. When you turn on the light, you'll be greeted by hair and dust on the floor between the saunas. I've already told the manager about this issue, but it still happens. read more

Amazing experience here. Staff always makes sure all the sauna rooms are clean. Equipment is always checked. Hot cycle is amazing and so is hot thunder. So many classes to chose from and the instructors on the screen are great. The app lets you book your room and class ahead of time and you are able to see if other people booked. I have always had private sessions unless booking with a friend. It is 24/7 access once you are a member so it is great to book sessions at any time that works for you. read more

They have an area with five or six machines in the upstairs loft area. The machines are well maintained and clean. Mark gives a good thorough class. I believe they have several other classes available including weights and other full body circuit type training. Heck they even have a pole for pole dance classes. The best tip o can give is arrive a little early so that you can enjoy one of the full body massage chairs by the front entrance.

The space itself is super welcoming--clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with every piece of equipment you could ever need. What I love most is how easy Iliana makes it to just show up and focus. She tailors every workout to my goals, pushes me when I need it, and takes all the "what should I do today?" guesswork out of training. She's also super flexible with scheduling, which makes staying consistent so much easier. Whether you're brand new to fitness or have been lifting for years, this is the kind of place (and trainer) that meets you where you're at and helps you level up. Couldn't recommend more!

My friend even won a medal from the competition, which made it extra memorable. The workout itself is a great challenge--definitely got our hearts pumping and muscles working. Parking is free under the retail parking structure, which makes it super convenient. Plus, Zarfeen was so sweet and cool, making the whole experience feel welcoming and personal. After every class, the instructor cleans the room floors for the next class to enjoy, which I really liked. I would recommend to try all the different instructors to find your fit. I love instructors that walk around the class, and focus on people's form to help them get better. The only thing that was off for me was, if an instructor substitutes for another instructor, I recommend to please not talk badly about the class you are currently teaching/substituting for. It may not be your level, but the students are in there for a reason. It put a sour mindset for me with that one instructor, and would probably never take that person's class ever again. The lack of professionalism deterred this review from 5 stars. Other than that one instructor, I really did enjoy this hot yoga location. Thank you Purple Yoga.
