Combined with the heat experience, you really work up a good sweat, and this isn't even the full heat yet. I definitely recommend bringing a small towel. You don't need to bring any equipment--just your mat, grip socks and water. They even have water available for refills, so you don't have to lug around a huge water bottle. I think you can also rent those items too. Overall, such a great workout and experience. 10/10 recommend!

She noticed the troublesome areas of my body (I.e. unevenness of my hips, slouching, etc) and has been helping me focus on those areas to fix. After giving birth, my body changed so much but I wholeheartedly believe that with June's classes, I'll gain my self confidence again + pre pregnancy body back. I like that it was intimate and that Sonia paid a lot of attention to detail. It was my first time doing a class in a studio that was smaller, but it felt a lot more personal since you could connect with the instructor and the other pilates go-ers. It was more mellow and the music was very calming. I am used to taking group classes when there are 10+ reformers and sometimes the music is blaring! It was a nice change. The class was well-structured and I felt that the exercises targeted different body parts. There were progressions made, so that was really helpful to know what I needed to do to make the exercises easier or harder. I like that the class flowed well, so by the time the class was done, it didn't feel like 40-45 mins already went by! The studio is such a lovely place. Great space to do your pilates class and Sonia is a great instructor. I also love that it is in a plaza that is not very busy and there's plentiful parking. I was actually really excited because I had always wanted to try Pilates. Unfortunately, my experience with the instructor was very disappointing. During my first session, she repeatedly made comments like, "You can't do that," "Your posture isn't good," and "Just try to do it like me." Since it was my first time doing Pilates, I expected more guidance, patience, and encouragement. Instead, I felt discouraged and uncomfortable throughout the session. I went back for the second session only because I had already paid for the package, but unfortunately, the experience was even worse. I felt uncomfortable for the entire hour and did not feel supported or encouraged at all. I still had one session left, but I ended up canceling it because I didn't want to put myself through another uncomfortable experience. I understand that she needed to correct posture and technique, but I think there is a big difference between giving constructive feedback and making a beginner feel discouraged. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed how excited I felt about trying Pilates.
