This is an overdue review. I moved to the area about 2 years ago and was looking for a boxing gym to attend. Fortunately this was about a 15 minute drive from my home and I decided to check it out. My first class was with Joe. He's great and funny and very informative. Over some time, I tried different classes to see what else they offered. I, however, mainly stuck with boxing because that's my first love. I've taken classes with Irene, Matt, David, Miguel and Jessica. They are all great and informative and willing to answer any questions you may have. Towards the end of my year membership and before I moved, I started attending the intermediate boxing class with Matt. If you're ever up to it, try it. This may sound weird, but during safe sparring and being hit in the face for the first time solidified my love for boxing. All this to say, if you're curious. Try this place out. I come several times a week for group classes such as boxing and boot camp. There are many to choose from throughout the day. The workouts are fun yet intense and differ class to class. Overall, it's a fun and positive environment. In addition to the group classes, they offer private training at a reasonable rate. I've had a few sessions with Irene, and she's been great. When I first worked with Irene, I had very limited boxing experience. But I had the desire to work hard. She taught me the foundation to evolve. Irene is unique in her ability to not only teach you the proper techniques of boxing but also the ability to give you a great workout. This gym is really nice facility and the coaches here are knowledgeable. The coaches are easy to talk to and willing to offer quick help if you ask them questions. The main thing I dislike about both this gym and Los Alamitos is that it is only class based and the hours can be difficult to work around. I live fairly far from the gym (around a 45-50 minute drive) and timing the driving, especially since I don't do to Fullerton often, is difficult. If they had after hours or open gym times outside their last class, I feel like this would be a great night workout I can get around. Sadly, that is not the case. They end around 8:30ish and that's it. On top of that, they close around the afternoon during weekends, WHICH SUCKS. Why not just let us operate alone if no coaches are available during that time? I usually have nothing to do during my weekend noon-evening time, but the fact that I can't get in there to put some work in kinda bums me out. I'm sure it's a great facility and convenience for many, but sadly, it is just not the case for me. read more

I did personal training and kickboxing lessons with Irene and I can't be happier with my experience working with her! She is a very patient and adaptive teacher. I'm a slow learner, but Irene was very accommodating to my learning needs. She never hesitated to answer any of my questions or repeatedly show me the boxing techniques if I was confused. Taking her one-on-one classes today as not only a fun way to learn a new skill and get more fit, but also helped me build my confidence. I was looking for a new studio/gym a few months ago and had tried so many different types of workouts: yoga, Pilates, Orangetheory, cardio boxing, etc I came across FYT gym and took them up on an offer for a free class. I was extremely worried since I've never boxed before, but everyone at FYT gym is extremely knowledgeable and super nice/welcoming. That is a big part of why I ended up signing up! The other studios I had been to had trainers that weren't very nice or helpful but FYT gym has been different from every place I've ever tried. Everyone is more than happy to teach you new things and they're always welcoming you with a smile the second you walk in. I started training with Coach Irene a few months ago and let me tell you.. she is AMAZING. She always thinks of creative ways to teach you new things and to help you improve. Each time I show up to a session, she already has a plan in place for what she thinks would help me progress more (meaning she makes it a point to remember where we left off last and puts energy in to making a plan specific to me and what I need to work on). Besides all of that, I think my favorite part of working with Irene has got to be how much fun we have during our sessions. She keeps me laughing the entire time and that's such a good thing to have - someone who makes you truly enjoy your workouts! I decided to try out a class at Fyt Gym this summer as a way to change up my workout routine. I figured that being around other people would help motivate me and establish consistency in my workout routine. There are a variety of classes offered at Fyt Gym, like boxing, kickboxing, and FYT Camps, so you can train different parts of your body. Everyone I met was kind and welcoming; the instructors were more than happy to help me out whenever I had any questions. Fyt Gym also offers private lessons in addition to their group classes, and Irene was kind enough to let me know that they were having a special discount on these lessons last month. I decided to sign up for some lessons with Irene, and I was able to learn a lot about what I needed to improve on. Irene had me start with warmups that focused on different parts of my body, such as pushing/pulling heavy carts, body weight exercises, and lifting weights. Although I was already exhausted with just the warmup, I was able to learn which of my muscle groups needed more training. The latter portions for my private lessons were boxing drills with Irene. We worked on correcting my forms and making sure I knew how to transition between being on the offensive and learning how to evade/defend. We even recorded one of our later boxing drills so I could reference it later to fix my form during my free time! Overall, Irene, while very patient and accommodating, knew how to help me work out my body to its limits while still keeping our sessions enjoyable and exciting. If you're looking to meet coaches committed to seeing you succeed, whether you want to enter competitions or just workout to be healthy, then I can't recommend FYT Gym enough! read more

Honestly, I'm not a huge gym person - in fact, I make it point to tell my friends how much I hate going to the gym so they stop bugging me about it. All the coaches are amazing and super knowledgeable about boxing. Due to the variety of classes there is a little bit of everything for everyone. I especially love yoga with Mel! Everything she teaches helps support our boxing training. Yoga with her is a different type of challenge from the boxing and FYT Camps. I heard about the gym from family and was invited to come out and try it. So on my day off I came down to see what it was about. My first impression of the gym (Fullerton) was very positive. I walked in, no one was there yet for the 12pm class. Matt introduced himself to me after he was done working with a client. He walked me through the whole process and was pleasant to talk to. The people in the class were chill and easy to talk to. They also helped me out whenever I had any questions about the class. I ended up working with Matt since we were an odd number in the group. I'm not as active as I'd like to be, which is why I chose to come to the gym. I don't have any specific goal than to just be healthier. And this is a fun way of doing that. Beats going to the gym all the time and this mixes things up. Additionally, I think it's easier to stay motivated when there's a bunch of other positive energy people in the class that are also there for the same reason, they want to be active. I was trying to get into boxing last year, because I liked the idea of cardio but personally found running to be boring. I wanted to get my exercise in especially I looked around my area and saw a lot of different boxing gyms, but when I first visited FYT I knew that I would be going. The interior looked clean, there were a lot of sanitary and COVID precautions in place, the people were welcoming, and the vibes were great overall. The trainers here are really nice but super knowledgeable about boxing and I learn so many new things every time I come. Soon enough I started training with Coach Matt. I want to give a huge shoutout to Coach Matt. He kinda reminds me of the Matt from Wii Sports: no explanation needed, just an absolute Gigachad. Matt never fails to motivate me in our sessions, and he always has me improving from the day before. It only took about two visits for me to want to go from 30 minute sessions to intensive full hour sessions. As a fairly young individual (18 yrs) I wanted to push myself further with each session, and Matt made sure that this was happening by giving me very challenging exercises to never keep me bored. I still find myself to this day, even in college away from Fullerton, hitting my pistol squats on a Bosu ball to keep myself in shape. Definitely coming back to FYT whenever I visit home. I also appreciate how all the trainers here really care about their clients and foster a warm community at FYT. I've brought in my friends to take a trial class and even though they were intimidated by the idea of a boxing gym at first, they have all said they loved the experience afterwards and would like to come back. And I like how I can vibe with the coaches as people too. For instance, I can ask David some serious questions about kinesiology but then also laugh with him over memes about black Air Forces. You won't get this type of welcoming energy at every boxing gym, but you'll be sure to get it at FYT. Not to mention, I've gained so much ever since I've started training. I've only trained for about half a year, but I've found myself to have transformed completely. My body physically looks lot better than before, I am so much more mindful now whenever I eat, the gym has become a regular part of my routine, and I feel a lot more productive in my day-to-day life overall. Through FYT, I've gone from holding the title of "gym noob" to "certified gym bro" and now in college I've started helping my friends who want to start gymming to reach their fitness goals as well. I kept seeing Instagram stories from people I know about FYT Gym and was always curious about kicking stuff. So when I found out they were having a deal, I had to check it out because why not? Treat yo' self especially if it's for the betterment of you! Needless to say, best decision ever. There are different classes to choose from (boxing, kickboxing, powerbox, TRX/boxing, yoga, and FYT camp), but they also have private sessions with coaches (30 min or 1 hr session packages available). If you have kids in your life, they also have kids classes! Something for everyone :) I came in having little to no boxing experience (unless you count Tae Bo LoL) but, like what others have already mentioned, literally everyone is more than happy to help with your movement/technique - coaches and members alike. It's been almost 5 months since I joined and I've never felt more confident with my body's capabilities and I've never been this consistent with wanting to improve my health (physically + mentally). This place is probably one of the gyms I feel the safest during 'COVID' (what a time to be alive.) 1.) There are temperature checks upon check-in! 2.) Masks are REQUIRED! Honestly, there are several kickboxing gyms closer to my house, but whenever I watch their IG stories I see they allow members to workout without masks and while members are 'spaced out' - I work with immunocompromised kids so the extra protection is honestly appreciated. 3.) All the coaches here are welcoming and amazing! I train with Johnny since I really like to kick things and since I've started, my shoulder injuries that I used to get from going to One Love/CKO Kickboxing cease to exist! Some days (like today) I feel like throwing up BUT that means I'm definitely being pushed and growing which is something you want from your coach! If you want to step up your game, fix your form, and get fit this is the way to go (honestly I rewatch my videos and see how I've progressed since July and uhhh it's pretty bad a**) 4.) They have a variety of classes which are held outdoor AND they even set up turf; they definitely know how to take care of their members! I've always wanted to learn boxing but wasn't sure where to go and when to start so have been putting that idea off for years. Then my friend told me about FYT gym and since the first class, I was intrigued! The coaches here are all genuinely interested in helping you learn about boxing and makes sure you get a good workout out of each classes. They're always willing to make an effort to welcome you and get to know you better. So far, I've had the pleasure of attending Coach Joe's, Irene's & David's classes and all of them are knowledgeable about boxing/workouts and makes the class fun. The classes can be tough, but you feel great after! I was also able to befriend a coach, which is Irene! This usually doesn't happen because I'm shy and takes me awhile to warm up to people, but with Irene she's super nice and friendly that I was able to open up to her! I found that they were taking extra precautions to stay clean and safe inside the gym during covid. I am so glad I found FYT Gym. I have been working out with trainer David D. for about two years (previously at another gym) and I am so glad he is at FYT gym now. The pandemic slowed me down and I lost some of the progress I made, but I am back now! First of all, the facility is small but large enough. They have all the necessary equipment to work out. All the trainers are very conscious of maintaining social distance and sanitizing equipment after each training session. Their classes observe all COVID-19 safety procedures and still provide a full challenging work out. If you like kickboxing - this is the place to do it! Training with David D. is always challenging and he continuously pushes me to higher limits. I can see the progress getting stronger and leaner, and developing good muscle mass while losing weight. I've been coming to FYT Gym since they opened about a month ago and I LOVE it! It's on my way home from work and parking is easily accessible. The gym is very clean and everything is brand new. The owners really hit the mark with social distance workouts and all the added cleanliness. I feel safe working out here considering the current pandemic situation. The vibe is good and the music keeps you moving. I've tried all of the various classes, I even tried two in one day! Yoga/pilates is actually a great compliment to the intense boxing/kickboxing classes. Sometimes we don't realize the Impact we make on people's lives or viceversa and I always Pray that God place me in the right places and with the right people I need for my Soul Evolution! I started working with Coach Jess and Coach Matt when I was at a Really Low Point in My Life! I had gotten laid off from my job, something I never expected to ever experience but sadly the unthinkable happened! Part of me wanted to call it quits but thanks to the encouragement of my husband, I continued, he encouraged me to continue on my fitness and told me this was the time to continue working harder, after all I had all this time on my hands. So I decided to give myself an opportunity to work with other coaches! So something that I thought was going to be a temporary thing, (until I found a job, or so I thought) has now been 1 year of working together, time sure does fly when you're having Fun! This was my first time ever trying kickboxing and I absolutely loved it. The class was friendly to multiple levels of experience and combined technique and cardio. My instructor was named Johnny and he made the class really fun while giving lots of information. Definitely recommend! read more

Amazing gym! Coaches are awesome. My son is a bit shy and they were great with making him feel comfortable and included. Even he loves the gym and the work outs they give and he's not an easy pleaser. The place is clean. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Great job to the staff. read more
