This is not a gym for poseurs. The people are friendly, very sociable - and take their workouts seriously. I train here for boxing (with Christian) with my 2 boys, both high schoolers. They also weight-train and practice wrestling with two other coaches here (Andre and Ferdaws). The trainers are top notch, and pricing is reasonable, and they will work with you on your specific goals and needs. There is no phony corporate-type feel here. It's a friendly, cool, and serious gym.

I'm down 10 pounds, getting toned, and my muscles are finally starting to show -- and this is coming from someone who had never done strength training before, let alone stepped into a gym in years! What I love most is that I don't have to think about the workouts at all. The trainers have everything planned, and every single day is different -- not one workout has ever been the same. They are constantly watching your form and correcting you, which makes a huge difference in feeling confident and avoiding injury, especially when you don't know what you're doing, like me. The community here is amazing. I've made great friends, and everyone genuinely cheers each other on. It's motivating and welcoming, no matter your fitness level. Honestly, I know for sure I would not have stuck with working out if it weren't for the coaches. They push you, teach you, and truly care about your progress. If you're on the fence or intimidated by the gym, this place will change your mind. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I had to end my membership because I couldn't afford it anymore, but hoping to come back when I can. Definitely recommend training here!

The environment is supportive, and the programming is perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. The workouts push you to become a better version of yourself. Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

This is for anyone who's ever felt intimidated by lifting weights -- especially postpartum mamas or…read moremoms-to-be. I'd been eyeing this gym since March but was too shy and honestly a little nervous to pull the trigger. I'm so glad I finally did. When I say I've tried everything, I mean it: Weight Watchers, Herbalife, body wraps from "It Works," personal trainers (multiple times), 24 Hour Fitness, Gold's, Chuze, Orangetheory... you name it. I was also kickboxing 2-3 hours a day and dancing regularly -- but still wasn't gaining the strength or seeing the results I wanted. For years, people told me I needed to lift heavy weights. But even with gym memberships and trainers, I felt overwhelmed and lost. That changed when I finally booked a meeting with one of the owners, Richard. And let me tell you -- I felt seen. He listened to my goals, understood why my current routine wasn't working (kickboxing, OTF, and Gold's included), and laid out a clear plan tailored to me. My goals: * Build strength * Lift heavy * Prep for two showcases this year * Start training for competition Richard showed me how I was overtraining (too much cardio, not enough rest) and helped me refocus my time and energy. Now I'm working out less, with more intention -- and finally seeing results. So I signed up for the unlimited membership. And here we are -- nearly two months in, and I'm seeing progress I hadn't seen in years. Is it out of my comfort zone? Absolutely. But the community and instructors have made all the difference. The facility is gorgeous, clean, and right up my alley aesthetically. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly Here's a quick shout-out to the amazing instructors I've worked with so far: Art - He will challenge you. He will push you. No BS -- he knows what he's doing. He pays close attention to form and demands the best from you because he wants you to get that pump! His attention to detail and deep knowledge really shine. Richard - Super motivating with a strong presence. He gives great feedback on form and always knows how to push you. Don't be surprised if he adds weight or resistance when you least expect it -- he's not letting you coast. Dulce - I absolutely adore her classes. Her voice, teaching style, and overall vibe are perfect for someone like me -- shy and introverted. She's patient, checks in often, and really makes sure things click if you're struggling. Joseph - Humble, inspirational, and so patient -- even while sneakily adding more weight to push your limits. I really appreciate his calm energy and the way he adapts to different learning styles. Kaitlyn - Mighty and feisty! She's kind before class, but once it starts -- no mercy. She will absolutely make you work, and then some. Mark - Super encouraging and positive. He makes it easy to ask questions -- especially helpful for a newbie like me. He creates a safe space to learn and grow. If you're on the fence about trying this place -- let me just say, if I can do it, so can you. It's worth every drop of sweat. The intimidation fades fast once you meet the staff and community. Truly one of the best decisions I've made for myself.

My wife who goes to the camp and reason why I'm here, use to run circles round me now it might be another type of story. Couple power!!! Super grateful for the opportunity to challenge myself and give it my all every squat every Burpee every time I skip by the candy aisle. I didn't think I'd be so drawn to such an amazing community of staff and fellow workout partners, I definitely can see myself making this still a part of my every day lifestyle, without the challenge which truly is the real challenge. The first weeks were challenging getting my body acquainted with the hustle and grind. After reaching the halfway point and having to take a week off For work on the ocean I had a lot of making up to do. I really pushed it extra hard the last two weeks and then my final week did 2 - 2aday workouts with a three-a-day workout on my final day before weigh in next morning. At some point I felt like a portal to the gym was waiting for me to fall thru as I would be jumping out of bed relaxing to the gym. No excuses. I'm confident knowing that I have reached my goal of 5% or more body fat loss and willing to weigh in two days early. I have definitely put in the time and the dedication with homemade ready-made meals which I couldn't have done without the loving support of my beautiful wife always making sure I have fuel in the tank. Ive become successful in both health, fitness and business now that Ive contributed to the media department freelancing my work as a drone pilot. Huge shout out and thanks to front desk and staff for the continued support and encouragement. The accountability was effective. So much can be done in six weeks can't wait to see what happens in six months. Stay fit don't quit!!!! Just get it done! Now off to Greece to celebrate our honeymoon on the beaches Santorini. Chow!
