Overnight staff does a great job resetting this gym. In my opinion, they're the backbone of the cleanliness of this gym. Hats off to them! Regarding the sauna, I was informed that the temp of the sauna is "not as hot" during after-hours due to maintenance and the cleaning the staff conducts while foot traffic is at its lowest. Usually between midnight-4am I'm assuming. So, just a heads up. Great machines, state of the art equipment, plenty of free weights. To really appreciate what this gym has to offer, I'd come during their late evening hours. Keep in mind that Cal State Fullerton is literally across the street, so college students (and high school students) are the be expected. This review is directly towards the experience I had today with the general manager named Dameon. I've been coming here ever since the gym opened up. Never had any issues. I decided to pay for a guest pass today for my friend. I was initially told they don't have "day guest passes here" and was told they charge for supplements instead when paying to come in. I was confused about what that meant and he didn't really bother to explain it. I'll be honest, I was pretty stern and upset with the attitude he gave me. Coming from a "general manager" position, he should have a better attitude with current members and even new people interested in coming. When I asked for a receipt of the day pass, he responded with "we're not a super market". EOS, please do better in the future and promote people with more outgoing and approachable demeanors. read more

I switched from my other gym to this one, thinking it would be better because it's bigger & has more equipment + a sauna. I can confidently say this gym sucks lol I'm canceling my membership before my first month is up in a couple weeks and going back to my other gym where I could get in & out in a decent amount of time. It's super crowded at all hours of the night. Definitely feels like a spot people go to to hang out more than they do to work out. So many (I'm assuming) college kids, that literally just sit on the machines on their phones. I waited for the only smith machine that was working for 30 minutes for one guy to get off, while he was just sitting there scrolling forever between sets, even after I politely asked how many sets he had left. The same circuit that took me 1 hour to complete at my other gym takes me about 2 hours here. The sauna is not very hot, so it feels kind of pointless unless you sit in there for 20+ mins. But I don't even have time to use it because it takes so long just to do my workout alone. read more

The pool has been broken for almost a year, which is outrageous in itself... they keep blaming the city, but there was also a flier posted by the pool (which they tried to cover up), which stated that the pool was closed for spreading "water born illness" which is so much more disturbing. They also waited to tell me after I'd upgraded my membership that there is no kids club at this location...whenever I have to bring up my grievances with the staff I'm usually met with a condescending female manager who has a severe case of RBF--or the male manager who tunes me out and pivots the conversation to selling me something else. Due to their electronic failures, I couldn't buy a shake so apparently they don't trust me enough to write my name down and charge me later. Needless to say, I will not be buying shakes here anymore. EoS-Fullerton: Another EoS location we visited. My 4th time at this location and one thing that's been consistent all four times is that regaedless if it's morning, afternoon, or evening... its always busy. The members are nice and there are a lot of lovely elderly ladies I've met at the sauna who are so welcoming and friendly. Staff is friendly as well. The machines are nice too. If you've been to the EoS in SD Sports Arena (most dreadful EoS we've ever been to) you will very much appreciate ALL other EoS locations including this one. This Fullerton location is very nice and I do frequent it once every so often since I like to workout at different EoS gyms. read more

The staff member I spoke to promised that if the pool wasn't open by the time I visited next, they would give me one month for free; however, that free month never materialized. I specifically signed up for this gym because of the cryotherapy room, yet most of the time one or none of the machines are actually working. Another reason I chose the Prime Premium membership was for the Evolt scan, but they make it unnecessarily difficult to schedule or access, which makes it feel almost pointless. The final straw was being made to wait a long time only to be told they couldn't accommodate me because "no one was available," despite multiple staff members visibly doing nothing. It honestly feels like they delay service just so they can pair you with someone whose main goal is to upsell personal training or other add-ons. ZERO stars, oh that I could. My wife and I have had nothing but issues with EOS Fitness Fullerton from the moment we signed up. At enrollment, we were not properly informed of cancellation terms and were misled by a sales associate (Memo) to make the membership seem like a better deal than it actually was. We were also signed up incorrectly, which resulted in multiple accounts being created for each of us and double billing. This error was so severe that the fitness manager (CeCe) had to re-enroll us entirely, and we were forced to re-sign the contract multiple times due to staff mistakes. Despite this, billing issues continued. When the upgraded amenities we were paying extra for were frequently unavailable or not working, we attempted to downgrade--only to be told we would be charged again to fix an issue caused by EOS. At that point, we made it very clear we would not continue our membership after completing our personal training contract. We followed EOS's cancellation procedures exactly: * Called to cancel twice * Submitted the required cancellation form in mid-December * Called again to confirm cancellation was processed * Were explicitly told everything was "fine" and cancelled * Gave the required 30-day notice Despite this, EOS denied our cancellation without notifying us, continued billing us for both membership and personal training, and charged us anyway. When we went in person to resolve the issue, an assistant manager confirmed that our cancellation attempts were visible in the system and had been denied, but refused or was unable to explain why and told us there was nothing he could do. No escalation. No resolution. No accountability. This feels less like incompetence and more like a system designed to make cancellation difficult and extract additional charges. The lack of transparency, poor management, and refusal to correct acknowledged errors is unacceptable. If you're considering joining this location: document everything, watch your billing closely, and be prepared to fight to cancel even when you follow their rules. We are now pursuing formal complaints and reimbursement. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a gym that operates with honesty and basic consumer respect. read more

I came in for the 7-day free trial yesterday, and had to endure 45-minutes of high pressure sales to buy a membership beforehand. The assistant general manager is a man-child who threw a tantrum when I said I wasn't interested in signing for a membership today, and started giving me a bunch of reasons why he couldn't give me a 7-day pass, saying that I wasn't close enough to the gym to be considered local (It's a 20 minute commute from my house), that I had to sign up for a paid membership if I wanted the free trial, that I had to give him the names and numbers of five people I know before he would even consider it before pouting and storming off. I called the other EOS gym location in Fullerton to ask if those terms were common practice, and they told me my city was close enough to be considered a local, but they don't ask for five referrals before issuing a 7-day free pass. I've done free trials at other local gyms in my area, and never encountered such unprofessional behavior in my life. read more

Place is clean so their workers do well with that. But this place gets incredibly packed in majority hours of the day so you'd have to go super early or late night. Even around 9pm it's still crowded which was crazy and parking is terrible/small because there's a lot of other restaurants around. They're also increasing their rates to $20.99/mo which I have no clue what they're improving with that price change. I'd save your time and money to go to another gym because although the place is new there's not enough equipment around and it'll be hard for you to get a workout in. read more

I'm not one to write reviews, but I wanted to share my gratitude to the EOS Fullerton morning staff. I have had a rough experience with other gyms in the past in terms of membership & training fees as well as gym maintenance. Thanks to Xander, Eugene and Josiah's hospitality and member care, I'm excited to workout on a daily basis and no longer have those reservations. It's a great fit for me as it's walking distance from my place and fits before my working schedule as I know it can seem like an ant farm at night. Honestly, best gym I've ever signed up for. Yeah it's going to be busy; it's built right next to two colleges and a high school. I signed up for the PT and even upgraded. Training with Diego has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself and my health. Best times to go are in my opinion, early in the morning, or late morning early afternoon. Machines can be hard to come by sometimes but that's what alternatives are for. It would be nice if there were more machines but this is a smaller gym so I get that space is an issue. Bathrooms and showers are always nice and clean at least in the women's locker room. Parking can be a pain but there is always parking behind the gym too. I work hours that don't enable me to have time to go to the gym to cancel in person when office staff are there. Stay away from EoS!!! My wife and I got memberships here a couple years ago and in the beginning it was well run. We had a personal trainer that we worked with and that made our experience even better here. But things changed. I overheard staff and club members talk about inappropriate things going on there and it seemed management did nothing to address these issues until it became a problem for them personally (having to move employees to a new gym). What started out a place where it seemed like they cared had turned into a place where you are just a number. This place is usually packed and that's what they want, numbers to meet quotas. I assure you, two years ago there was a much better vibe. I tried repeatedly to cancel my membership and they continued to charge me. I've spent a lot of time trying to cancel my membership and I still get charged. They just want your money. They don't care one bit about you. It's a shame because some of the trainers and staff are actually good people. But the upper management and even regional manager are not good. If anyone asked me if this was a decent gym to go to, I would STRONGLY tell them to go somewhere else!!!! read more

I also spoke to another woman who had been charged for payment three months ahead of their due payment and because nobody could translate to her in Spanish she had been scammed as well!! Absolutely terrible cancellation process. Told we could make an account online to cancel. Asked if I could just cancel right then and there in person, was told, "we can but we prefer not to". Then was told it was very easy to cancel online. Tried to cancel online and kept getting error message. Called on behalf of my wife and the agent would not let me cancel on her behalf even after confirming all of her personal information, and calling her number "which he got from the account", and HER confirming "My husband has power of attorney" and hanging up. So done with this predatory business model, what a terrible experience. also gym was busy, so long wait on machines... You don't get to talk to my wife, I told you all of the information you need, why are you on the phone with me for an hour. What exactly are you protecting your member from? This review is for EOS fitness as a company, even though this does not pertain to this exact gym, I hope this experience saves at least some of you from making the terrible decision of signing a contract with this scummy company. read more

Don't get a membership at this gym. They have extremely shady business practices and the employees there are liars. They ask for a credit card as well as routing info for your checking account and charge directly out of your checking, which is a huge red flag. I tried to cancel my membership so I went in-person to cancel it last month. I wanted the annual fee refunded to me as I forgot they even charged that fee, and I was not planning on using the gym at all this year. I went in and spoke to Erica, who lied about putting in a request to cancel my membership online. She also went and spoke to her manager Bella, when I asked if I could get the annual fee refunded to me, and she said that Bella told her that the annual fee will be refunded to me, and that she would put in the request for me today. This was also a lie. Bella did email me after I asked for an explicit paper trail, giving an arbitrary claim number, saying that my request to cancel my membership was placed and so was the request for an annual refund. Again, all lies. This company trains their employees and managers to lie to their members. After three weeks I attempted to call and find out if my membership had been cancelled and fee refunded, as I saw no reflection of that in my account. Their call system doesn't even allow you to call a location directly, which is another red flag. I ended up finding out through Reddit that according to the club agreement I signed, I have to file a request to cancel my membership in writing via email for the cancellation request to even count. Neither Bella the manager or Erica the employee even bothered to tell me this. I emailed their member services email and found out also that it was not even possible to refund the annual fee, because this company is shady and refuses to give up any little amount of money you give them. So essentially, Bella and Erica lied to my face about me getting a refund and being able to cancel my membership. They pretended to do something when in reality they were doing nothing. Don't trust this company, and don't trust anyone employed there. They are taught to lie to you so they can get as much money from you as possible. I will be reporting EOS Fitness and their parent company ABC Fitness to the Better Business Bureau, and if they have done anything shady to you as well, I suggest you do the same. read more

This gym just wants your money. Tried to cancel my personal training account that I never signed up for! This guy took my phone and signed me up for another account for personal training! They said they would reimburse me and then they tried asking me again to sign up for the training to "meet my needs" then I agreed when I know I shouldn't have because now they won't reimburse me! They just want to pull you in and it's terrible how they just try to say they want me to have a great experience well I'm not having a good experience and now I have to deal with wither four months with them! Don't let them fool you they talk you into it and it's no good I wouldn't sign up for this gym again after my contact is up and I truly hope it won't be hard to cancel completely after reading the rest of the reviews.
