The menus handed to us by our friendly server looked brand new. The menu covered breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were seated in a booth directly across from their beautiful Christmas tree. We were the only ones in the restaurant around 11:35 am and didn't understand why there weren't more people sitting at the other tables. The restaurant is located at the last exit before the long traffic snarl due to construction and one lane being closed. I was interested in the pork chop dinner with a choice of two sides but decided it was going to be too much food for lunch. My sister had the same sentiments so we all ordered the same thing. We had the American Smash Burger with American cheese. We all agreed that our burgers were pretty darn good.

The building is absolutely stunning. From the mural along the side with some Indiana favorites to the very tasteful woodwork inside. All four of us thought our food was really good. How often does that happen? The newest menu item was the Salisbury steak. Might be the best I've ever had. There is a little kick to it. Nothing that little water doesn't take care of. haha when I mentioned the cake to the waitress, she said it's probably the goat cheese and the mashed potatoes. I never knew a goat cheese being spiced. But, hey, I really enjoyed it! If I lived in this area, I would frequent it a lot.

I also think the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. This is definitely my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Terre Haute.

Sometimes you just don't get enough but I found it to be the proper amount. Ordered the family size fries and they fed 5 of us with leftovers. The fries were pretty good and crispy too considering they went on a 20 minute journey in the bag back to the house. Would definitely eat here again.

Our server, Deniela, was fantastic, gave us the low down on daily specials and made a few recommendations. Water came out quickly, as did food. She checked on us regularly. I had the daily special, prime rib burrito, which was very good. The prime rib was tender and juicy. The rice was much more flavorful than the usual Tex mex rice. I loved my meal. My husband tried the breaded pork tenderloin. The breading was perfectly seasoned and the large loin was moist and tender. The bun was good, too. The hand cut chips were delicious. (I ate half his chips and could have made a meal of them.) There is street parking. I recommend a visit, but expect to be rooting for Alabama on game day. The food is delicious.
