"This place brought to mind that it is where you go after the hay is stacked, the cows are in the barn, you are hungry and can get your fill of good food, cheap." We both ordered the quintessential Indiana sandwich - Pork Tenderloin. I got the grilled and he got the fried. Never in my life have I seen a meal called a "sandwich" that looked like this. The tenderloin was as big as a dinner plate. The bun looked a decoration more than the basis for a sandwich. The meat was easily twice or three times the diameter of the ornamental bun. Neither of us could even eat half. Deferring to my Hoosier native, he declared this one of the best tenderloins he ever had. Unfortunately, my grilled version was a bit dry. We have made tenderloins at home in TN. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they pounded that cut of meat into the shape they served.
