Their everything omelette was very good and I was surprised with the offer of raisin bread for my toast. The service was excellent even tho they were holding a staff meeting while I was in. The setting is simple and pleasant and some what homey. Would highly recommend this place and I hope I get the opportunity to visit again someday. read more

Good Evening Friends . This morning I drove to Babo's cafe for Breakfast with my friend Miss Peggy . And to our great surprise there is Pavement in back instead of gravel . We were so Happy as my friend had a walker and with the newly black topped drive / parking it was not a struggle to get into the restaurant. I just want to give them a shout out not for just the wonderful Breakfast we had Meat lovers skillet .. but for the time and determination that the owner taking care of his customers !! We stopped in for a late breakfast/ early brunch and enjoyed everything! The atmosphere is comfy with a dive bar feel (in the best way). We started with the churro fries - yummy appetizer that comes with apple butter, but we asked for a side of honey which was even better! I tried the buffalo chicken babo's which were perfect- plenty of flavor and just enough for me! My dining party tried the breakfast chimichanga (humongous) and the Balkan club. Both dishes were delicious. Fresh and full of flavor. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Terre Haute! read more

Tax sales are 7% not 8%. So next time you going and get the check do the math! Also they expect you to know the whole menu and everything on/in that food by day 2! That's not doable unless you have no life outside of that work which they expect you to not have. They have wayyy to have of an expectation for a server, so servers watch out! My husband surprised me and took me here for breakfast this morning. Let's say this, "we are going back tomorrow for lunch". We walked in to be greeted by such a friendly sweet hostess. The menu had a good selection. Everything we both got was very good. The hostess mentioned baklava and it caught my ear because I love Greek salads. That is why we are going back tomorrow, to try the gyros with homemade tzatziki sauce her Father makes. We have our new place to go for breakfast. The food was pretty good. My burger was a build your own so it was just a basic burger but good. The tots were good but I think I'm gonna get French fries next time. Their soup of the day was really good. The service was great. The waitresses helped each other out with grabbing refills or asking if things are good. This was our first time going to Babo's and we thought it had a great menu and awesome customer service. We loved the Babo's rolls as an appetizer. We had the beef ones and they were fantastic. Definitely homemade. I might get them as my entire meal last time. We then got the first item in the specialties section and the third. Both of those were also fantastic and we would recommend. We will be going back as there were lots of other things on the menu we want to try! read more

Babo's Cafe is a pretty unique little spot. We ordered the Babo's combo as a starter, and it really gave a us a little bit of everything. I wouldn't say anything on there is great for your health but they were all tasty. For my actual meal I ordered the bacon burger. It wasn't anything special but it filled me up and tasted fine enough. Overall this a decent spot and I could see myself coming back again in the future. read more

We ate breakfast and it was really good! My husband and I both got the gyro omelette. It was excellent and our hash browns and home fried potatoes were cooked to perfection. The waitresses were so nice to our little girl and were really friendly. The California breakfast platter was perfect for our 18 month old. Food was amazing. Waitress Hailey suggested an amazing melt called something that started with a B? Had the rice and chicken soup and fries. Waitress was very attentive and food was hot and great! Unfortunately, I let the waitress know if she ever needed a second job, we were looking for part time help at our facility. The owner was pretty upset and got very rude with me and accused me of trying to steal his employee. Made me feel very uncomfortable and borderline attacked over it. Really don't feel welcome at this place going forward. A shame, because it seemed like a good place to suggest for customers to get dinner close to the course. I can honestly say that this place had some of the best food I have had in a while. The service was excellent as well!

We went there today for the first time. We both got the gyro meal and it was delicious. The cucumber sauce was very tasty as well. The pita bread was slightly dry, but that's not too uncommon with pita bread in general. The tater tots were good, but a little lacking on the salt. There is salt on the table so it wasn't really that big of a deal. We also got the Babo's combo sampler. The cheeseburger babo roll, which is reminisciant of a cheeseburger egg roll, was fantastic! The food is slightly pricey, maybe somewhere we would go maybe once or twice a month instead of a regular occurrence, but it's not to the point where I would say it's not worth it. What a wonderful restaurant! A subtle presence on the outside, but a nice, cozy, kind or rustic ambiance on the inside. I've come here twice now and have been greeted by absolutely phenomenal staff that are so kind and so attentive, and most important so human. Some restaurants aren't like that. I got a gyro both times and it was the best gyro I've ever had, and a large portion size. I can't help but just devouring it before I even have a chance to take a picture of it! All-in-all, a fantastic place to go eat. Parking is a non-issue and the price is incredibly reasonable. Oh, and there's a 10% student discount. read more

I'm going to be honest I wanted to love this place. The staff was amazing from the start, very tentative and friendly. The food is where unfortunately it all fell apart. I ordered the gyro it came to me with a super crispy and dry pita. The gyro meat is run of the mill Sysco/GFS special. The Tzatziki sauce wasn't very good.
