I absolutely love this place! I live nearby and often walk over with my dog--it's so nice to have a dog-friendly spot with a patio in the back where dogs are welcome. My friend and I bring our dogs and always feel comfortable. There's plenty of parking if you drive, and inside you'll find a cozy dining area with a fun 50's vibe and a downstairs Tiki Bar decorated in Polynesian style. The food is fantastic! Last time I had the Barnyard (a delicious chicken sandwich) and the Quesadilla appetizer--both were excellent. Their cheeseburgers are also top-notch. Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and the service is consistently great. The staff is friendly, quick, and accommodating--they even love our dogs! Stopped in for something different on a Friday evening. The place wasn't busy at all and we took a seat right away. Waitress was friendly and handed us menus to look over. That was the end of the good part. We ordered a seafood nacho appetizer. Three minutes after it came out, our food came out. No chance to enjoy the appetizer. My wife and I both ordered a burger. They skipped the jalapenos on mine (even though it's one of the standard toppings on the menu). No sides are listed on the menu, but they had them on a whiteboard across the seating area from us with no additional prices. The menu said burgers came with a side. She asked for the onion rings while I had the fresh cut fries. They obviously don't double fry the fries. some of mine were good, some were still undercooked. My wife's onion rings came with a complimentary side of oil at the bottom of her basket. Now to the best part. The bill comes out and her onion rings were a $4.99 upcharge. Mind you no pricing on the whiteboard and the waitress doesn't say anything when she ordered them. No apologies for the food coming out so close the appetizer nor the lack of clarity on the side upcharge. Food was meh. I'd suggest going somewhere else for your hunger pangs. Plenty of fast-food places that would rival this establishment for quality. We will not be returning. read more

My wife and I surprisingly found ourselves back here while visiting Turkey Run State Park. Taking my own advice (from my previous review), we both ordered burgers. One major change that has occurred here is that burgers have been deemphasized from both the name of the restaurant and on the menu. There is only a "build your own burger" option now. That being said, we enjoyed our burgers as well as the onion rings (which we had as our appetizer). The service, on the other hand, was awful. Our waitress was very pleasant, but she was extremely overworked. She was the only waitress for three completely separate rooms (one being the bar area). We waited 15 - 20 minutes just to get our order taken (and there was only one other person in the main part of the restaurant). We had similar wait times for our food and to get our check. Overall ratings...4 stars for the food.. 2 stars for the service. read more

Ordered takeout from here for the first time today. We were pleasantly surprised when we got home! Upon entering the restaurant I was a little taken back, it is nothing fancy but clean. However you turn down the stairs to the bar and it feels like a completely different restaurant or "vibe". They also have a patio out back but they do not have heaters so we will have to wait until the summer to check it out. The staff was not overly friendly but not rude either. After getting home, we opened our boxes are were quite happy with our burgers! The lettuce, tomato, and onion were very fresh and the burgers were cooked pretty well (mine was a bit pink but it was still good). My only complaint is that the fries were pretty cold but they were still tasty. We will definitely be back! read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time as a local and was really impressed. Their atmosphere was really cute and felt like you were at a restaurant at the beach. Everything looked really clean and well taken care of. The server, Kate was super attentive and on top of the service. There were some great creative options on the menu and I can tell the cook/chef is passionate about keeping the food interesting and high quality. I tried the fish and chips and was throughly satisfied. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were good with the dish. I am excited to go back and try one of their burgers next time. It's a cute little restaurant. The prices are reasonable. I would go so far as to say affordable but not cheap. The food was very good except for the fact that all of our fries were a little bit burnt. But not grossly burnt. Just a little crispier than I would prefer but quite possibly still in some people's preferred range. The staff was all very friendly. My only complaint is how long we waited on the food. For a place to is primarily a burger place I expect my food a little faster. We went to IHOP two nights before and had faster service there than we did here tonight. However the food was so good. Another pleasant lunch at the Barefoot Burger! Service was quick and we didn't wait long for our food. My husband and I got the volcano fries as an appetizer and added queso, since their queso is so delicious! It was an awesome appetizer with a great amount of pulled pork. I got the fiesta burger and my husband got the prime rib sandwich -- we were both happy with our choices. The only reason I had to give 4/5 stars is that the staff wasn't super consistent with wearing masks and didn't require the customers to wear masks as they were walking throughout the restaurant -- one customer from the bar came over and started speaking to us without a mask on. But what it is is really good food, friendly, attentive and fast service and a welcoming atmosphere. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, went into the bar and were greeted immediately -- and friendly. This is a great little restaurant, and it's more than just a hamburger joint. They have a nice variety on their menu-and I mostly eat pescatarian/vegetarian. The food is excellent; the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and their service rocks. I often go there to work during non-busy hours (for them, not me, haha) and they even have places to plug my laptop in. Plus, they have a nice selection of craft beer! I didn't expect to be able to get a Founder's Breakfast Stout at a little burger place, but there it was! I love going there in the late afternoon to grab a snack and a beer while working. Visited for the second time on 06/02/18 - the first visit back in 2017 wasn't great so thought I'd give it another go. It went much better this time around. Server was Baily P and she did a great job - very attentive. Sat on the dining side rather than the bar because it was cooler. It wasn't crowded at all for late afternoon so that was nice. We love taking the kids for burgers at Barefoot. They have a beach theme with paper liners and paper "boats" that hold the food. Every burger I have had here has been amazing. They also have an appetizer that is basically nachos with a seafood cheese dip and it's an excellent go to. Our whole family loves it. For the adults, the beer selection here is very possibly the largest and most diverse in town. They don't have a ton on tap but they have a huge selection to choose from. The wait staff here is always great. They keep the table clear and the glasses full. Barefoot will likely continue to be our favorite local burger joint, especially for the price. read more

This place was terrible. We should have turned around As soon as we saw that at 6:00 pm the place was empty. I ordered the Fiesta burger with fries my husband got the all America burger with a salad. They brought out his salad and his burger with the fries and my plate was empty except for the fiesta burger. After transferring the fries to my plate they looked and tasted likE they were old and warmed up. The burgers were not as advertised either. Looked like thin Y frozen patties As we were the only patrons you would have thought the order would be correct and would be served promptly. It was not. We have always followed the reviews on Yelp when we are traveling to make our selections. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
