Always pleasantly surprised! The side Caesar salad was huge for being a side and honestly better than I expected. The prime rib dipper had big portions and tasted great. (Can never go wrong with the spinach and artichoke dip as an app.) Even though they were busy, we were seated very quickly, and our server was super kind. Overall, a solid experience! read more

The new California chicken salad is FALSE advertising. There is simply NO avocado on the plate. Cucumber and vinaigrette is NOT avocado cucumber salsa. Instead of an apology I've only been given a "that's what you ordered." Deceitful. Dishonest. Argumentative. Customer blaming. read more

We got there and waited to be seated only to be thrown into a makeshift corner. However the seats we sat at were very wet. We were told that a drink was spilled. OK then why was it not cleaned up? The person who seated us was clearly in the worse mood. You could tell she didn't want to be there. Then I asked for a new seat in a booth and being told twice it was clean there were still dishes and leftover food. Very bad experience . We left. Will not come back. This happens today. 7/18/26 read more

I ordered over the phone and used the curbside pickup service. The food was good, but the man who gave me my food chose to not disclose that part of my meal was not available, and therefore missing from my bag. I checked my bag after he'd already taken my payment. When I asked about the missing part of my meal, he simple said that they were out and there was nothing he could do. I can live without it, but it would have been better received if the restaurant was upfront about this before I paid, and/or offered a discount for the order only being partially received. read more

Wish I could give zero stars but yelp won't let you ...Applebees is nothing more then microwaved food Last time I went the pasta was warm on one side of the plate and the other was still cold So instead of making it "fresh" tossing more in the microwave they reheated what I had and made one side so rubbery it was inedible If. Overpriced microwaved food is what your craving then go get you some at Applebees read more

Service sucked. It took forever to get water food a box for left overs and pay the bill. Each of those listed took anywhere from 5 to 15 mins to get done. Also one meal was completely the wrong item. They also make you pay with a stupid computer devise on the table. The server who was the main problem told me we had to use the thing. So she ran my card and added a tip bigger than 20%. I saw that and said no way reverse the charges. I also asked for the manager. After another 15 mins went by. I got the new bill without a tip. We left no tip for her and tip for you, don't go here!! Another friend stopped by and had the same problems. read more

Great Place for a Quick bite!! I was in Crawfordsville for business, and I had just driven in from a 3-hour drive. I was looking for somewhere where I could get a fast meal. Being a seasoned Road Warrior Applebee's is one of my goto's when traveling since the food is always consistent and always good. This visit I was in the mood for something quick and healthy since I had been traveling all day. On this visit I went simple, I had a steak and some grilled veggies. The service was quick, my server was great and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were fresh, grilled well as they weren't burnt or overcooked and my meal was less than 600 calories. Just what I needed. This is a good place and I would eat here again. read more

I'm in total shock and discusted !!! Our food was good, and our waitress was very pleasant.....what was so discussing is exactly when our food arrived, the manage started vacuuming at the table right next to us and she started to vacuum right beside us !!! I politely asked her not to vacuum while we were eating. It's not like there was a mess at all ..I looked....yet along the dar was napkins, paper & coffee creamers on the floor . read more

Some of the worst service in Crawfordsville. Unfortunately who you get as a server makes a big difference. On our recent visit we waited over 15 minutes for our server to come to the table and then another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We ordered the two meals for $25 deal. I got the sirloin. I asked what their medium was like and she shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know". Another server told me it was slightly pink in the middle. When steak arrived it was bloody. The $1 Margarita was offered to us also. I asked the flavors. Again our server had no idea even though this is a company special. Her answer was " it comes in a mug. Does that help?" The Happy Hour appetizer menu is nice and I have enjoyed it on other visits. However since service is key to my dining experience I do not appreciate this particular store. With the time it takes to order and receive my food I could easily drive to a different location in either Lafayette or Brownsburg. Think twice about the Crawfordsville Applebee's. read more

First of all the waitress name Ashley is very rude. Never smiles very short and hasty. She is so rude to customers. I have heard it from a lot of others not just me. She bellows at other workers and just plain rude. If she doesn't like working with others and customers maybe she should find a job where she doesn't have to do customer service she straight up lacks the skill for it. We eat at the Crawfordsville location at least twice a week and she is never nice. They seriously need to find someone to take her spot. Her being rude to customers isn't right. We come in there and spend our money and that's not how I want to be treated when I take my family out and spend almost 125.00 on a meal ticket. We always leave a 30 percent tip. Being treated like this is very disappointing. I have called the store and said something about her being rude and nothing has happen because she still is!! read more

The Food is nice because it does take a while for the food to get but other than that it is a good place to get food at.

Our waitress, Ashley was wonderful! If something was sent from the kitchen that wasn't up to par, she volunteered to freshen things up before we needed to say anything. She was working throughout the entire restaurant, but still made sure our drinks were always taken care of. We arrived at 9PM and she had a very pleasant attitude this late in the evening. Thank you for a great dining experience! read more

I wanted to end my lovely night with a excellent dinner, so I went to Applebee's. That was a mistake. I ordered the Mac and cheese and it was dryer than dirt. I had 4 strawberries in my strawberries and yogurt. Disappointed but not surprised, it's Applebee's after all. Don't come in with high expectations. My lemons had too many seeds and weren't very sour. The waiter told us we HAD to use a black straw in our alcoholic beverages. Our food took quite a while for it not being very busy. A Saturday, we were looking for an excuse to add an hour to our trip home. Applebee's aficionados, we read all the one star Yelp reviews and decided to see just how "bad" this location is. Currently two and a half stars, our expectations weren't high. Seated immediately, we experienced delightful and prompt service. Talking amongst ourselves about how impressed we were with the service, out of NOWHERE the manager showed up and asked us how our meal was. Unreal. This place deserves 6 stars. If you've been to an Applebee's before then you know what to expect food-wise. I think it's decent. I thought about getting the "neighborhood nachos" and I'm glad I didn't. Someone else at the table got them and they looked underwhelming due to a lack of toppings. Our server was nice, but not really friendly/cheerful. A breadstick came with my salad (which seemed smaller than I'd expected) and it was the darkest breadstick I'd seen without being burnt. I noticed another customer's was the same shade of dark brown so it wasn't just mine. I'm not opposed to going back but i won't be a regular read more

This experience tonight was the worst I have ever encountered. We sat down at 6:45 pm and finally got drink order at 7. She came back about 720 to take our food order. When we asked at 8:15 about it we were told they were backed up and don't know when it would be out. We were not the only ones that were leaving before getting food. Average wait that we were hearing was hour and 15 min on food. Need to do some major changes before I would go back. read more

Chicken wings have long been mysterious to me. At Applebee's, they're a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. First of all, "wings" have always included legs along with wings (insofar as I can tell). Then, there's the ever-present question of what happens to the rest of the chicken. But strangest of all, there's the question of how they make them boneless. What a marvel of genetic engineering -- to make chickens with plump wings (and legs?) that don't have any bones! It's amazing really, but also somewhat disconcerting. I mean, do these chickens have any bones? Or is it just the wings and legs that are boneless? Oh, and the fact that they somehow make wings and legs with all white meat, even though these are the quintessential dark meat parts of the bird! Someone once told me that dark meat comes from the muscles that get a lot of active use; white meat muscles are largely sedentary. Well, I guess it makes sense that muscles in the boneless parts of the body wouldn't get a lot of use. Mystery solved. Still, I prefer dark meat. And bones in my meat remind me that it's the real thing. And so wings that are legs, that are boneless and white ... well, they're called "wings", but there's really nothing winglike about them. Why not call them "Mini-Chicken Tenders" and be done with it? (But really, what would we do with miniature chickens anyway?!) Oh, but this Applebee's has decent beer, at least for C-ville. They even had Flat 12 on tap! Not too shabby. Too bad the food is mediocre. read more

For a college town, albeit a small college, there are very few places to sit down and eat. In Crawfordsville, this is one of them. My second son wanted a non-fast food hamburger. He is too young to go in and get a bar burger (or so I thought), so we ended up at Applebee's. We walk in, they ask if he is 18 years old. He is, so they seat us right away in the bar area. Later another couple came in, and they had to be at least 21 to sit right next to us. I have lived my whole life in Indiana, I still do not understand the alcohol "blue" laws. Something tells me I never will. Anyway, it is an Applebee's. I thought the service was prompt. They kept the iced tea glasses full and the table cleared. The bathroom was clean. They do have call ahead seating. read more

I was pretty underwhelmed with Applebee's. When we were seated it took probably 10 minutes for us to order something to drink, which was water, and another 5 minutes after that to get us our water. As far as the food, they offer very few options that are gluten or dairy free. It was hard to find something for my brother to eat. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with chicken and expected, for 12.49, more than a somewhat bland sauce and 3 tiny breaded chicken strips no larger than my pinky. If you have the option to dine somewhere, do not come here. Their entrees may be advertised as "low calorie," but that has less to do with the fact that the food is healthy and more to do with the fact that the portions are atrociously small. read more

I come here once in a while with my girlfriends to escape family, but one of the bartenders makes it impossible to have conversations with my friends. She has a couple piercings, she talks about her kids a lot, and gets into uncomfortable detail about how her manager trusts her so she gets away with everything. Both my friend and I found it very awkward. I wish she'd just get drinks instead of engaging on conversations we don't want to include her in, especially since other people are obviously annoyed with us when she takes a long time to serve them. Obviously it's not an upscale place but my teenage daughter who is also a server said that that server gave her an attitude when she asked for her card back. I find it very immature when someone is easily provoked but they're not socially aware enough to know when they're annoying someone else. I usually see the manager around so hopefully he's on to her, and she's not getting away with everything she decided to brag about. I can't stress enough that it was annoying to look at this women and say "we're having a private conversation" and for her to still talk about her kids to us. read more
