They started us with some bread and marinara sauce and the sauce definitely opened up our appetite and had us anticipating of what's to come. Then the to-die-for appetizer came, the mushroom ricotta cheese thinging it's sooooooooooooooooooo freaking delicious!!!!! I can't explain it, you'll have to put that cheese on the baked bread, then eat it together with the mushrooms to experience what we experienced.... Soooo good!! And we also had a bowl of meatballs lol it was good~ but nothing to write home about. Now for the Pastas, I got their signature Fuzi folding noodles with veal sauce and my daughter got the rigatoni à la vodka. They were both great!!! Their pasta has great texture with a fantastic clean taste and the sauce were subtle, fragrant and delicious. Not heavy and sweet like some of those normal Italian restaurants, this is definitely an A tier restaurant hidden in a local community. I would come here at least once a week from now on. As soon as you step into the shop, you're greeted by the many inviting aromas, the sight of hanging prosciutto, and a beautiful display of over 50 freshly prepared dishes, which are made daily. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, generously portioned, and perfect for a very hungry individual like myself or for sharing. If you are ordering ready to eat items, plan ahead as this is a strictly take out establishment. You'll also find a wide variety of gourmet, ready to enjoy meals, imported cheeses and meats, and Italian pantry staples and gift items. Their selection of homemade ravioli, fresh pastas, and sauces from classic marinara to rich bolognese is unmatched. The service is top notch, and the ambiance has a warm, family feel that makes every visit feel like coming home. Durso's combines quality, tradition, and hospitality a true Italian culinary gem in Queens.

Their ravioli are outstanding, once you've had them, you'll find yourself walking right past the refrigerator case at your local supermarket. They also prepare a wide range of Italian specialties, including eggplant parmigiana and rollatini, along with lasagna and a variety of chicken and veal dishes. While I tend to gravitate toward certain favorites, the overall quality and care are evident throughout. Go early, especially around the holidays, as it can get quite busy. And don't miss the ravioli, along with their other fresh pastas like cavatelli and rigatoni. They also offer a great selection of specialty pastas in frozen form, which are well worth having on hand. Durso's is not inexpensive, but as I always say, you get what you pay for, and everything here reflects top-quality ingredients and craftsmanship.

The flavors were good, the portion was surprisingly filling and they have a great lunch deal for $15 fettuccine Alfredo with a topping I believe. They have some nice soda options to choose from and everything is made fresh. Even as I was there I could see them hurling in large bags of flour for the pasta they make. For a good reasonably priced fresh pasta bite I would recommend to anyone working or hanging out nearby def give them a try!

Walking in, there is a decent amount of seating and you can see them making the food fresh in front of you. I do like how small the menu is - small menu generally menus fresher food. I don't really eat dairy so just ordered the fettuccine without cheese and then chose the arrabbiata sauce. I wish they gave me a heads up about how spicy the sauce would be - my mouth was legit on fire. Food wise - I didn't love the portion sizes, I was definitely hungry after it was over and felt the texture of the pasta was softer than I'd like - probably because it's fresh. Even though I was burned this time (literally with the spice), I'd be down to come back and try another one of their sauces and even be more open minded about adding dairy since it seems like one of their specialties!

If you're in a pinch and would like to quickly eat some type of pasta that isn't fancy for takeout, this is the place to go to as there's no one really serving you. I walked inside, and there was no one to greet me. I think there's only one person working here who does everything. Once the person came out with someone's order, he explained everything to me, on how to figure out what to order and etc. I didn't really understand what he was saying, but I tried my best and repeated things back to him if there was a question. I followed the photos and what was written on the black menu by the wall. I ordered the small mama's bolognese. It is Reginette with marinara sauce with meat inside and has roasted garlic and parmesan. The employee asked me what size and if I wanted everything, or if I should alter anything. All in all, I'm not sure I'll be going back as the food didn't stand out to me.

Which disappointed me. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, penne à la vodka with chicken, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and mozzarella sticks. The best out of all of them was the mozzarella stick sticks. The service was OK. The place is small and there's only like four benches to sit. I did notice there was a sign that said there is more seating at Elio's. I do not really recommend this restaurant for its pasta if you're looking for something super savory. But if you're looking for something fast and filling then maybe you could give it a shot.

I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.
