Yolked is a trendy Old Port Portland restaurant randomly transported to a mini strip-mall in…read moreWindham. It's by far the nicest restaurant in the area, and if you live in this region it's the clear and obvious first choice for elevated dining. Just know that you'll be paying for it. At 5 pm on a Saturday Yolked was bustling, with a full bar and many tables already taken. We were able to snag bar seats after a 20 minute wait. If the 90 minute seating rule was in effect, no one told us at the bar and we did not notice. Service was impeccable from the friendly bartenders. We decided to split the Dill Cream Roasted Beets ($21) and Citrus Miso Carrot Ribbons ($20) for appetizers. The beets were the clear winner, served warm, and I only wish I ordered the Focaccia ($11) to dip in the irresistible sour cream and dill sauce. The Duck Ragu ($46) entree was huge and we enjoyed, though the pappardelle noodles were over a foot long. I considered Lady and the Tramping it but was overruled. The special Apple Crisp dessert with ice cream was a perfect early fall dessert. So, why 4 stars? The prices here are extreme. Appetizers are in the $20's, entrees in the $40's and the cheapest glass of wine on the menu is $14. I always pose this question: Can I eat at Scales for cheaper? When the answer is "yes," then I'd rather just go to Scales. And Yolked is easily more expensive than Scales, even if you only get a burger. Also, it's extremely, exceptionally loud. That's not a big problem for me, but something to keep in mind. Overall, Yolked is by far the best restaurant in the area. It's a stylish spot with very good food. Just make sure your credit card gives extra points for dining.

They did not shake my vermouth (imagine living with that guy?) They did not put gluten in my whatever. (!) The place seats 80, miles including the bar. It is far busier weekends and summers. The pastrami sandwich was very fine, second only to the Second Avenue Deli in Manhattan. The Admiral steak very good- very generous- couldn't finish it, the Caesar salad romaine crunchy fresh. They serve raw oysters. They sauté smelts in season. They have a good array of beers, of desserts. Maggie and I agreed this is a "go to" at the top of our local

The improvements to the outdoor space have made dancing more fun and the seating outside of the tent is great. The indoor space is pretty cool too, lots of music memorabilia. We recently ordered parmesan truffle fries, falafel, a salad and the special bang-bang shrimp. The falafel was delicious, served on a fluffy grilled pita finished with a great tahini lemon sauce. The garden salad was fresh and crisp with homemade vinegarette. I'm not sure if the fries are hand cut, but they tasted like it, with lots of parm. My favorite was the bang-bang shrimp, which was a special. The shrimp (both time I had it) was cooked Perfect; I am often disappointed with shrimp in restaurants because it is so easy to over cook. Sebago Landing Tavern opened in December 2025 in the former Guff's Grub & Pub building at the…read morecorner of Routes 35 & 114 in Sebago Lake. The parking in front of the building is a bit tight. The place has a full service bar with seating (10) and high top table seating and 3 TVs in the back area and regular table seating in the front room. The bar offers 10 draft beers, beer bottles/cans, and house wine. The food offerings include a selection of appetizers, wings, pizzas (10" & 16"), soups, salads, smash burgers, sandwiches/subs, pasta, BBQ meats, steaks, and seafood. There also specials posted on the chalkboard. The prices seem fair. I stopped by Sebago Landing for a mid-afternoon meal. The TVs had baseball on. I took a seat at a high top table near the bar and was given a menu. I requested an ice water and took a few moments to decide on what to order. I ordered a 10" Sausage Pizza ($12.50 plus tax) and the Sliced Brisket Sandwich ($16 plus tax) with choice of side (chose pasta salad). The food was served together in about 23 minutes after ordering. The sandwich had slices of brisket & sauteed onions smothered in a sweet BBQ sauce on a thick toasted brioche bun, pickles on the side. The brisket however was very chewy with fat edges in the meat which I needed to trim. The sandwich tasted just fine though, a bit messy. The pasta salad had a mix of tri-color rotini with Italian pesto dressing, parmesan cheese, red onions, sliced green peppers & olives, a solid good chilled salad. The bar pizza pie had a firm semi thin crust topped with plenty of red sauce, melted mozzarella cheese and pieces of sausage. I enjoyed 2 slices of the tasty pizza before I requested a pizza box for the rest. The check was also presented, which was $30.78 with tax and before tip. Overall, the service fairly laid back here and no rush here. Other than the fatty brisket slices, the food tasted quite good and the portions were good sized too. I almost ordered the baked ziti with homemade meatballs, but perhaps next time.

No charge to park and plenty of spaces available. Upon entering you have a choice whether to sit on the pub side or the dining area side. This offers a nice choice for when families or hotel patrons want some space from the bar scene, or have the music a little less loud so you can have a conversation. The dining side also had 3 pool tables. We noticed an additional room in the rear that had another 3 tables and looked like it could be the perfect space to rent out for a private party. The decor in here is quite fun. It's got a Halloween/Nightmare Before Christmas vibe, decked with many sarcastic signs that make you giggle. We arrived around 6pm, an hour before the band was set to play. That was enough time to get us a table big enough for 5 people. We sat and waited a while before going to the bar and asking if we were suppose to order up there. We were told there was a waitress that would come around. After about another 20 mins of sitting, the bartender noticed we still hadn't been greeted by a waitress so she came over and took our drink order herself. Another 10 minutes went by (now about 30 mins total) and the waitress came up to take our meal order. She was very bubbly and fun, but clearly could have used more help. The food took a long time to come out, maybe another 30 mins? So at this point we had been there an hour. My fungi burger was cooked perfectly (medium). It was very juicy and tender. The chicken tenders were some of the biggest I've ever seen. Each tender had to be close to a whole breast! We were all happy with our meals. The Covertones played some great jams while we were there. It was really nice to enjoy some live music without having to deal with going in-town or paying a cover charge. Pros: loved the decor, the band was great, the food was yummy and cleverly named on the menu and there was more there was a good amount of pool tables. Cons: There wasn't a ton of variety on the menu (mostly burgers and tenders, with a stir fry dish added in there) and the kitchen & service (although we loved our waitress) was soooooo slow. We were there from 6-9 and only managed to have two adult beverages because of the wait time. Speaking of, I had two twisted teas and they charged $7 EACH! That's a bit much. I also noticed on the bill that they offer a small discount if you pay in cash.
