She was pissed walked out the door came back in 2 min complaining about everything. She was in the chair the normal 45 min. to get her basic pedicure. A different tech gave her a whole new pedicure, but nothing would satisfy her. I have been going her 20yr and have been completely satisfied with all services. read more

This place is a total joke they rushed my pedicure they didn't even clean my dead skin around my toes. the gel nail polish was messy. They didn't even massage my feet. They just put lotion on my legs rubbed it in and called it a day. It was $45 for a pedicure they also didn't even remove the dead skin off the bottom of my foot. When I went to check out he said it was a $1 extra for a DEBIT CARD. I told him that's illegal so he didn't charge the extra $1. Worst experience I've had at a nail salon. Please don't waste your time especially if you hardly get a pedicure and wanna relax. They rushed so bad it only took 12 minutes for my pedicure. The lady also poked my shoulder and was pointing in my face when I mentioned to fix it. Like do not put your hands on me. I could have called the police. The nail salon is also dirty, and unsanitary. A pedicure should be simple and yes I will say something if I'm paying money for a service that was terrible. Yesterday was my self care day which in my case happens like clockwork. Gotta see my friend who I have been going to for the last 15 years maybe more. In any event, this is one of my happy places where it's just like visiting family. In this case my gal is my family by choice. The vibe is your neighborly hang out where you can relax and turn it into a me kind of day. Since it's almost valentine's day, we'll for some of you gals out there aka galentine's day, time to sharpen those claws just kidding...time for a beautiful mani and pedi and don't forget to get those eyebrows and upper lip waxed. I got the full works just in case...you never know who is around your corner...lol if you're not in a committed relationship. This location in the past was my favorite. Now I would never go back. For starters , the staff hide the Nail menu instead of having it available for you to look at when you're unsure of what service you want or if there have been any updates to price menu. I paid for gel manicure with white tips and I used my real nails and charged over $50 . Then I ask for pedicure with clear polish no gel and charged over $45 . This was a week ago . My "Gel manicure " is already chipped as if they used diluted the gel polish, I even paid a tip not realizing I was being scammed. Make sure you communicate with the staff that you don't want your nail polish to chip and always get a receipt. Also the massage chairs are controlled by the staff. I had to ask the worker to turn on the chair and she told me to tell her when it stops so she can restart it . Safe way to go with the nail shops nowadays is to be upfront and direct . read more

Had a gift card and I'm 7.5 months pregnant - decided it was time to relax and get a pedicure. The moment I said I had a gift card and wanted to make sure it was for the right place - they started to treat me poorly. They gave me to a, seemingly, new tech, who went straight to dremelling my nail polish off - cutting me twice. Didn't get the water ready, didn't let me soak beforehand. THEN she started the water, followed by asking me what package I wanted. I picked the $54 one with the paraffin wax and everything, hoping that would show her I'm not just trying to spend the gift card and be cheap. It didn't work. She cut me and poked me SO many times, giggling a few times when I told her she was hurting me. I bled pretty badly on one of them and she never once acknowledged that she was doing a lot of damage. The "extra long" massage was pretty weak and didn't last more than a minute, same with the hot stones, the warm towels, and the scrub.. my "extra long" pedicure didn't even last an hour. I walked out pretty upset and bummed, and once you get there while you're pregnant you pretty much hate everything for the rest of the day so that just.. really sucked honestly Normally I wouldn't even waste my time writing a review but if the place is bad enough, I do feel obligated to warn others. OH, and the cut that bled the most is now swollen, red, and infected. So I think that's pretty important too. I'll never go back to this place and I'll make sure to tell anyone who talks about nail salons about my experience. Went to Julies for a long time, taking my Granddaughter and my Daughter for mani/pedi's. When it got painful, (she cut my foot and left actively bleeding because the elderly lady did not know what she was doing during my hour and 15min pedicure, yeah 1 hour and 15 minutes! Also got infected!) I was upset and stopped coming for a while. It is close to where I live so I tried them again. Got the Menu which was different in price from what I was charged and it seems they always give me people who do not do everything that they are suppose to do like leg massage or hot rocks because I do not get a manicure and they don't like that. Julie quoted me one price for gel nails for my granddaughter and the man who did the nails another price, higher of course. I had a horrible experience at this nail salon the manager was unprofessional talk down nail techs in front of customers. My major issue is after only having my nails done for a week I got a fill and after one hour my nail broke I went back same day and the manager blamed me and wanted to charge me 7 dollars to fix it. The nail tech filed my nails so low that all of my nails broke after a day!! They certainly don't care about customers they only care about making money! They stick to their timers and the manager hovers over nail techs! I requested a specific nail tech and the manager refused and tried pushing someone else to do my nails. read more

I've been trying to find a nail salon to go to for months since moving back to AZ. I get gels and I always ask that they do not use the dremel. I understand that it's easier but I do not want my nails damaged, as a paying customer I would think they would respect that. Although the 6 times that I've been to Julie's I ask they not use it they continue but they say they'll be careful. Well today the lady burned right through to my real nail, when I bought it to her attention she didn't seem to care. Tonight my fingernails are in quite a bit of pain and I am pretty upset. Technicians are rude and the place is quite unsanitary. They reuse the same cloth every manicure client and they only have one hand towel for everyone to share in the back to dry your hands. When I had asked the tech to shape my nail better because it was far too cricked, she rolled her eyes and told me where do you want me to file? And I pointed but she didn't even look to see by how much, she just filed a little and said more? Loudly... and I just said it looks fine. But it didn't. I just didn't feel like being humiliated. Do not go here! I'm never one to complain too much about a nail salon because I think you get what you pay for most of the time. I do not enjoy writing poor reviews but I was very disappointed with my experience here. I have gone to the same nail salon for years (star nails,75th and cactus..far better service and cheaper) but didn't have a lot of time and this place is nearby my house. I got a mani pedi and the man who I believe the owner is set me up rather quickly then called a man from the back. Before he started my pedi I noticed that he set a timer before he started the treatment and kept watching it during my treatment. As if he had to finish by a certain time? I don't know about anyone else but I go here to relax! It only put me on edge how quickly he was going and furthermore I don't want him to rush his work? I will say my toes came out good I just didn't appreciate the rush. When I got to my mani I really didn't appreciate the rush. He set his timer yet again and started quickly on my cuticles. He was going so fast he cut me multiple times on both hands. A manicure is not suppose to hurt and normally a knick here or there doesn't bother me because accidents happen but it was multiple times and he got me good. Additionally it was only because he was rushing because of his timer. I paid $10 for a mani with no polish and $20 for a classic old pedicure that was too short. I know I overpaid especially after a cut but I told myself I would not go back. I also noticed that they didn't help me with my bags when I was moving in between stations to get my mani or to the drying station. That little stuff is important and improves the quality of customer service. So very disappointed I could not write a positive review with plans to return as it is closer...could have just been an isolated incident and I'm sure they do great work for others but I think my one time is enough. read more

Tried this salon today since my regular one was booked due to not enough staff. Was greeted as soon as I entered & was also taken right away since they had several workers. They have plenty of colors, gel & regular, & also have several different pedicure/manicure options to chose from. Everything they used came out of brand new, sterilized packages & the salon overall was clean as well. The prices are very reasonable & you can also add anything you'd like for an extra charge. Alright Ladies, we all know how hard it is to find a good Nail Salon.... it took me 10-months but thank God I found Julie's Nails!!! The staff are all VERY kind, friendly and conversational. They are not pushy, don't rush and take the time to carefully listen to their Client's specific wants/needs. I have been to many Nail Salons in my 42years, and My biggest complaint is usually that you explain what you want and the Nail Tech does whatever she wants and tries to convince you that it's what you asked for!!!! I purposely waited until after going for 3 months before I posted a review, and if you're in the area I highly recommend that you come here. The Salon is ALWAYS clean! They use fresh newly sanitized tolls every time and unlike other Salons, the Techs aren't having side conversations with one another, they're speaking to their Clients and always very professionally and engaging. Serena does my nails, and she is F---omg awesome! There's a young lady with a feather tattoo on her forearm that does an amazing job too, but she is not there on Monday (that's my Nail day lol) Nancy does my eyebrows and LORD is she gifted!!!! You can expect for everyone to be very kind, and to ask if you're doing ok and offer you some water. Julie is the Owner/Manager and she greets everyone upon their entry at the door and there is usually not a wait when I go in on Sunday or Monday. I did have an issue with my Gel Manicure in Early February, but I called Julie, she apologized and offered me a new set. I was traveling for 2-weeks and when I returned I asked her if she remembered me and she did and still honored my request. I appreciate that everyone is always so kind, engaging and that they treat everyone like they're all spending $150 each!!! The only thing I don't like is that all tips must be paid in cash bkz they no longer accept them on the debit/credit card. Came in around 3:00pm on Saturday and even though they were extremely busy, they were able to start immediately on my nails. They had many more dip colors than other places and the price included removal of old dip. The technician was seemingly great, she did not seem to be rushing and she did a better job than my previous salons dip. HOWEVER, she used the grinder and hit my cuticle on 4 nails!
