Julie's Diner on Brewerton I'm always a big fan of diner food and Julie's was just what I was craving. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Sunday morning but with a little wait time I was able to get a table for two. The tables are bit crowded when it's a full house and the interior could use a makeover. I got their waffle and scramble combo. I prefer my waffles a bit crispier and bacon a bit chewier but everything had that great diner taste. Everything was priced fairly in my opinion. The stuffed French toast was most definitely stuffed! I enjoyed the bite I got. I do wish the homefries were crispy, they were a bit soft and mushy. For my breakfast dessert I tried the red velvet muffin. It had some cream cheese filling and chocolate chunks inside as well. Good muffin and it wasn't dry. I'd recommend Julie's if anyone wanted a new diner to enjoy :) read more

I've been going to Julie's Diner for years as have most local diner lovers. We had a good experience during our last visit. The place was packed because it was the weekend but we were able to sit pretty quickly because we don't mind sitting at the counter. The service was fine just again it was packed & the waitresses were trying their best so it took a little bit of time for some things but in a very realistic & understandable way. My meat lovers omelette was okay. It was kind of just an egg with a bunch of meat bits in pouring out which isn't bad. Again I know they were packed but just the tiniest bit more intention would have been appreciated on that plate. The cheesecake French toast special blew my flippin' mind. That was possibly the single best French toast I've ever had. The way the cheesecake element was incorporated was almost like a sauce poured over the French toast. The fresh strawberries, whipped cream & graham cracker dusting made me feel like I was eating a piece of cheesecake but in a whole new way. I would go back just if I knew that French toast was on special again. read more

I came across this place by chance. Getting gas for my rental car before returning it to Syracuse airport, I looked for a breakfast spot nearby and saw this place. If you like diners, you'll like Julie's. I sat at the counter, which was full of customers and still roomy enough. It was a busy morning. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered an "overstuffed" veggie omelette. No exaggeration there. It was stuffed with tomato, broccoli, mushrooms, and peppers. Cooked just right. It came with breakfast potatoes and rye (my choice) toast. I'll stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

Came in around 1230pm, I was famished as I had not eaten yet because I got called into work early (I.T. Support) and was super-busy. We got seated right away, hostess was friendly. Overall a very friendly place. I ordered a Philly Steak Sandwich w/chips+pickle, guest ordered Eggs Benedict. Server was wearing a crown announcing it was their birthday. Eh; its their birthday- not a bad idea to make the best of it. I had a gold watch in my car that I was going to give to my sister, but I decided to give it to the server- I got a smooch in return. Guest enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. The chips and pickle were both crisp and fresh. The Philly was overcooked; I pointed it out to the server and could of had it replaced but I got called back to work (Who beta tests in production anyway, that sure wasn't my idea- but I have to rescue them, oiy) and needed to leave soon (and was super-hungry) - I cut off the most burnt part of the bread, meat was a little overcooked which made it less enjoyable... Stomach ache later. I suppose I should blame myself for eating it knowing that it wasn't cooked correctly *shrug* I wish I'd noticed the part on the receipt about getting a discount for paying in cash. That's not their fault though- banks with all their cash back offers etc. passing on the cost to the small business. We should carry cash again. I was kidding about the gold watch. We have been to Julie's multiple times and we love coming here! It's always crowded on the weekends so make sure to go early but even when there is a lot of people the turnover is pretty quick. We got our food very shortly after we ordered. Everyone is so nice when you walk in, they make you feel like a regular each time. There is plenty of seating. It's a little tight but honestly not that bad for a small diner feeling. The food is always on point! You can honestly never have a bad meal here. Had an appointment in Cicero 7/12/25 so we went to Julies for breakfast. Food was great, service was great and the prices were reasonable. It was busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. I've been here but I tried something new today the combo#1. It's 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausage links and 2 pieces of bacon. That's a lot of food so I knew I would be bringing some home. I was greeted as soon as I came in the door and seated and waitress checked on me right away. The food was out within 15 minutes. I'm very picky about pancakes and these were fluffy, thick and cooked perfectly!! I loved them. The eggs were scrambled and very good. The sausage links tasted like jimmy dean but they were fine. The bacon was limp but that was my fault because I didn't ask for it crisp. I said something to the waitress and it was sent back and done crispy. The waitress apologized and of course it wasn't her fault it was mine. This is a great place for breakfast. I have not tried their lunch items yet. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning around 11. They were very crowded with people waiting in the doorway and outside. For two people we waited about 20 minutes, not awful. I ordered the meat lovers omelette but for some reason I got the Cordon Bleu omelette. I ate it anyways and it was delicious! There was a decent amount of meat and it wasn't over powered with cheese. The home fries were good as well. For $9.25, the portion size was worth it. It isn't my favorite diner in Syracuse but definitely has a friendly environment, quick service and quality food. read more

Such a fun classic diner just 5 minutes from the Syracuse airport with fast, friendly service and delicious food in filling portions! We ordered a combination so we could try a little of everything - 2 waffles, eggs, and bacon. Bacon was crispy and flavorful, scrambled eggs were fluffy and just perfect, and waffles were soft and great with the butter provided. Veggie frittata was delicious as well, veggies were bright and flavorful and it was so yummy! Drinks, like coffee which we ordered, are at no additional charge. Pricing was reasonable - we ate for two people with leftovers that I took to the airport after and the total (with tax and tip) came out to about $21. Great place! I would give this 3 1/2 stars. This place has excellent fries, an interesting menu, basic waffles meaning, not super special, but good enough, good sandwiches. What they do not have is gluten-free bread. But they also do not have are good frittatas. Actually, they do not have frittata at all. What they have is some kind of scramble with undercooked. Potatoes mixed in with undercooked vegetables. That is not yummy. I do not like undercooked potatoes and if I ever order that again, I would consider it a scramble where I'd have to ask for it to be well done before the eggs are added, and home fries on the side. You're better off getting some eggs on your own or on their own with a side of fries. read more

Wow!! Great food, awesome atmosphere, and spectacular service!! We are headed to Lake Ontario, and looked for a place off the Thruway to grab breakfast. We found Julie's, read some reviews, and decided we had to go.... and we were NOT disappointed! The "vibe" in this place is incredible. So positive (staff and patrons), and bustling. We arrived around 9:00a on a Sunday, and had to wait no more than 10 minutes. We were greeted immediately, and our name was taken. People kept piling in behind us, and the staff greeted several by name. We knew we made a good choice before we were even seated! We were given a small, 2-seated booth in the back, which was perfect. Our waitress (Jenn) was fantastic. She brought our coffee quickly and gladly showed us which dishes were the local favorites. I went with the traditional frittata scramble, and my husband had fried eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast. The food was brought out SO quickly, and the servings were very generous! My husbands meal was "okay". His French toast wasn't hot (his butter didn't even melt), his eggs were cooked quite right, and the sausage was generic small frozen links. He did enjoy it though. My scramble was really great. I ordered a half and it was huge, and chock full of all the mix-ins. It needed salt, and I opted for their house hot sauce, which really made it shine. So good!! Overall, combining the atmosphere, service, and food, we give Julie's a 6 out of 5. Great customer service goes a LONG way, and they nail it. read more

Terrible customer service. They tell everyone 15-20 minutes, then after waiting 50 minutes you question them when you will be seated and they tell you 30 minutes more. New to the area, one has to find an appropriate diner to frequent for the weekend breakfasts, right?! Julie's did not disappoint. The food was hot and the coffee was strong. I enjoyed the atmosphere where it was definitely more casual with a little touch of something. Couldn't put my finger on it. The place is pretty small so getting a seat could take a while and going with a really big party, expect not to sit together. Once seated and orders placed, the food came out quickly. Just like most diners it tasted fine. What i was not overly impressed with was the bill. My three children and I had breakfast and our bill was $40. That seems a bit high but I could be spoiled from my previous diner. What matters most is the staff was friendly, the coffee was great and constantly filled and food was pretty good. I got no sleep last night so I wasn't in the mood to cook. I just wanted some nice and easy diner fare and coffee to start the day. This was our third choice but the first two had long lines and I wasn't in the mood for it today. Our line at Julie's was fairly short, maybe a 5-10 minute wait. Some extremely brash lady gets our drink order and instructs us where to find our table. A few minutes later a couple cups of coffee are slid on the table along with some menus. I was happy to see that the menu wasn't a novel like it can be at some diners. I opted for a combo (number 1) so I could have a taste of the basic diner breakfast. Bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes. The coffee was fine, the sausage was fine, the eggs and bacon were a little off, and my pancakes were dense and undercooked. Our waitress was very pleasant, checked in appropriately, and kept that coffee coming. The food however missed the mark. It wasn't bad, but it was far from good. read more
