The machine was purchased yesterday not used at all paid in cash with receipt! She was treated like she stole the machine and not even greeted as she walked in !! ( the staff rolled there eyes as soon as she walked in without even asking her the situation) this is why I avoid this store and will drive to San Jose! We have few seamstresses in the indigenous community and we will make sure we will not give this place anymore business for our fabrics !! I have had similar experiences over the years and have avoided it this is just another example of why I prefer to drive & FYI you can't steal a sowing machine they are locked up !! Do better Joann train your staff in cultural competencies

Normally I grant a grumble under my breath and continue on with my day. However today was a step too far. I called just to see if there had been any updates on my pick up order. I was waiting for someone to answer the phone for about 2 minutes. Once an associate answered, I asked if there were any updates on a pick up order because the app had not updated (mind you I placed the order early this way it would hopefully be ready early). When the associate responded in a snarky tone that she "wouldn't know anything about that because I have quite a few orders". I responded with "okay" and hung up the phone. I've been in the retail business, I get how busy it gets, how demanding customers can be. That being said, that is not how you treat customers. It's a small store with a handful of employees and I'm completely understanding of that. But to go through that and then receive an email stating my order was ready is an example of poor customer service. There were so many orders but I'm assuming she saw the phone number I called from and was able to locate the order within minutes. I get it. It's a busy time. But you should still treat customers either way respect.

We decided on face painting, a glitter bar and time for entertainment. Gale was our assigned fairy; she reached out a few days before our event. The morning of, we found out very last minute that we had to change our venue due to rain and Gale was flexible and was right on pace - after a quick text to her, she showed up as the new location on time. She arrived in a very festive Encanto/Mirabel outfit; our location change ended up being to our home and garage. Gale led an entertaining puppet show (several other parents thought for a short while that her rabbit puppet was a real animal) - kids and parents enjoyed it! The kids loved her artistry with her glittery tattoos on their face and hands. Her balloon animals were also a huge hit. It was fantastic to have 1 person with so many great skills to keep kids happy. As my husband and I were running the party, we loved the fact that we were able to keep ~25 2 to 5 year olds entertained for the 3 hour party (2 hours during which Gale was there). It was the best decision to have hired her. Booking with the company was also very easy and organized; I highly recommend it and would do it again. Thanks Gale for making our kid's birthday special and fun, and to the team at Happily Ever Laughter for being so organized and thoughtful. Worth it!!

Instead, the woman hosting my baby sister's appointment looked like she was headed to a Pilates class rather than representing a high-end boutique. My mother spent over $5,000 here, and the entire experience left a terrible impression. The other employee working that day was dressed professionally and looked appropriate for her role, which only made the contrast more noticeable. When clients are paying premium prices, presentation matters. Whoever approved this dress code completely missed the mark. It's disappointing to see a business charging luxury prices while failing to uphold even basic professional standards. My baby sister ended up finding a dress she loved... that I myself ended up picking out because this girl not only missed the mark with my sister, but her own choices that day. Go ahead and find somewhere else to spend money on an important day because these folks sure don't care about your experience.
