How can I give 10 stars?? Sarah is amazing. I've requested for her character visits two years in a row now because my daughter had such an amazing, memorable time with her and her friends. The first year, she delighted us as little Mermaid and this past year, she came as Elsa. All the parents were shocked with how great she was with playing with our kids and how much fun they had playing with her. Sarah is great with interacting with kids and keeping them engaged. She is funny, kind, and overall super kid friendly and knows how to make kids laugh; its so cute to watch. Her events come with balloon making, magic show, face painting and for ours, we also request princess training which the girls loved so much. She's great to work with also, on-time and flexible. I can't say enough great things about Marvelous Party Characters. My special needs daughter was hospitalized at Stanford for seizure monitoring. She loves princesses and I decided last minute to surprise her with a visit. Sara from Marvelous Party Characters accommodated us on very late notice and was able to come as Rapunzel, which is my daughter's favorite princess. She was organize, easy to deal with, and arrived right on time. Since my daughter was in the hospital, Sara wanted to do the visit free of charge but I insisted on giving a donation for her time. As far as quality goes, she was outstanding in terms of her voice, mannerisms, personality and costume. She was as good or better than any princess in Disneyland. Absolutely AMAZING. I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah and her group for all your party needs! We asked Sarah to dress up as a winter fairy for our daughter's birthday party and she was absolutely amazing!!! All of the parents were wow'ed that Sarah was able to capture the attention and keep all the kids involved and engaged during the entire hour of fun we had booked with Sarah! Brilliant. Professional. Punctual. What more can you ask for? I had a Frozen themed birthday party and Queen Elsa was 10 mins early and kept the kids engaged with her cool magic tricks. Tricks were pretty basic but for a 4 year old it was still wow worthy! She also did balloons and face painting. Value for money. We had a fantastic experience with Marvelous. We hired them for my son's 6th birthday. There were about 30 or so kids. The entertainer (Sarah) was really great to work with. Everything from the booking to the communication leading up to the event was smooth. She arrived on time and was ready to go! Sarah was dressed like a ninja and performed ninja training for the group. The kids had a great time and best of all, they were hungry after!! The pricing is quite fair and they were also flexible as we had to change the location last minute due to weather. Highly recommend for any themed parties! We had Michael perform as a clown for my son's 4th Birthday Party and he was AMAZING! The time flew by with him. The kids and the adults were hooked to his seriously cool magic show. Sarah was so good! Kids just loved Ariel....She kept the kids so engaged. Her games were so good. Princess Training was so nice. She made sure she reminded the host for a single picture with the birthday girl. I have seen her as Jedi and Ariel....she did both the roles flawlessly! Highly recommend her! read more

This place is amazing! I asked for a very specific character for my daughter's 5th birthday and they delivered. She was over the moon. The booking process was super easy. I sent an email and they responded super quick and kept in contact with me. Answered all my weird and incessant questions! The performer called the night before to confirm and again answered all my questions. And best of all, came on time and the kids loved it. So I booked Marvelous party characters after viewing the reviews online. The overall process of booking/selecting package and choosing the theme was smooth. I liked that they were very communicative throughout. The only and biggest disappointment was the person they sent us for the party - she lacked skills. She was supposed to show some magic and then was booked for face painting. Magic was very basic and I appreciate that the entertainer was adjusting when it started raining all of a sudden. We moved the party to garage and started doing the face painting which definitely she does not have hands on. I could have drawn better than her. I felt very embarrassed in front of my guest that I booked someone for $300 for that skill. My first and last time I booked someone from this place. It was very unprofessional to send someone not fit for that job. read more

We hired Cinderella for my daughter's 6th birthday and she stole the show! A wonderful lady named Ally showed up and seeing my daughter's expression when she saw her walking down the sidewalk towards our party was hilarious: "Who is that? Is that a celebrity?" "I don't know! I don't know! I don't know!" She was completely starstruck! Ally was amazing! We requested a 1 hour slot with a magic show and princess training and the group of 4-6 years olds loved it! She completely plays the part and even has that lyrical sounding Disney princess voice down, where they all sound like they're speaking and singing an octave higher than everyone else, or like they're constantly singing with delicate little birds (you know the voice I mean). She even stayed with us and sang happy birthday to our daughter, which was probably the highlight of her short life. :) Before she left, she graciously hugged goodbye to her "princess friends" before "leaving for another ball." We were scrambling to find a party character for my daughter's birthday and Marvelous Party Characters saved the day. We were able to book Elsa for her party and as a bonus we got Anna too (a trainee performer). The communication was prompt and clear from the start, their prices were reasonable and you got to pick from a variety of activities. We chose a magic show and parachute games which the kids loved! Elsa and Anna were funny and friendly and my daughter is still excited when she talks about her party. The characters arrived on time, had all their available props with them and stayed for the cake cutting and photos with the kids. Absolutely amazing experience. Elsa came for my daughters 5th birthday and she kept the kiddos entertained for the entire hour. She started with princess training and easily pivoted to a magic show when our little princesses decided otherwise! She did balloon twisting and we got face painting since we only had 5 kiddos. She answered all questions well (ie how did you get here when there is no snow, I saw you at Disneyland). We initially were planning to have 25 kiddos and had to pivot to a smaller group which was a wonderful choice as Elsa was able to personalize the experience and know all the girls names. We booked an one-hour session for star wars characters for my son's birthday party. It took place in a park. The performers did Jedi training, face painting and balloon twisting with the kids. They were funny especially the Darth Vader. The kids loved the activities so much. At then end of the performance, they also helped gather the kids together and sing a Happy Birthday song. Yesterday, Elsa and Spider-Man performed at my twin daughters 7th birthday party. They arrived on time, found the location without question, and kept the kids engaged and happy! It was a hot day, parking is very difficult in my community but those obstacles didn't hinder their professionalism or energy! With a lot of google searches and reading several Yelp reviews, I found Marvelous Party Characters by chance. And I'm glad I did. Miles Morales Spider-Man kept the kid's attention in a waterpark as well as entertained the parents. I highly recommend using them for your littles one's next party. Also MPC was the only company that had the Miles Morales Spider-Man which was shocking since the movie released this summer. I will definitely use them again. read more

WOW! Marvelous Party Characters helped make things extra special for us at our event this past weekend in Pacifica. Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spidey Gwen were a HUGE HIT. Hundreds of people stopped to take pictures with them and they did an amazing job interacting with all age groups, including young children, youth and parents. My favorite part of the day was watching kids who had Spider-Man shirts on get to meet their favorite superhero. My little nephew kept asking "is that the REAL Spiderman?!" Great performer - engaged kids well. Daughter loved to see Ariel come to life. Punctual and quickly adapted to families who were late for the party. We had booked 2 activities for 30 mins each, however we got barely 45 mins of activity. Website had mentioned photo op, birthday song, and grand entrance as included features in all packages, but these don't really need 15 minutes to reduce performance time. Ideally, these should be offered after the 1 hour performance. read more

These guys are amazing ! We called Spider-Man for my kid's birthday. There were around 15 -20 kids and everyone enjoyed the event . We did Super hero training and magic show , all the kids loved Spider-Man 's act . Hello, my name is Sarah. Ever since I was a little girl I had a passion for performing. I hold a Theatre Arts degree and I am an experienced children's party performer. I have been in various theatrical shows such as, Taming of the Shrew, Bye, Bye, Birdie, The Mousetrap and much more. From time to time I perform in short films and I have a few television credits as well. Using my passion for performing during children's parties is such a fulfilling experience! I promise you that your child will get to the most memorable experience! When I am not performing I enjoy Martial Arts (2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do), the beach, and traveling!

For a group that size, we expected a professional entertainer to read the room and adapt. That didn't happen. We'd caution others to ask detailed questions before booking and to clarify exactly what to expect, rather than relying on the promotional video shared during the sales process.

The morning of, we found out very last minute that we had to change our venue due to rain and Gale was flexible and was right on pace - after a quick text to her, she showed up as the new location on time. She arrived in a very festive Encanto/Mirabel outfit; our location change ended up being to our home and garage. Gale led an entertaining puppet show (several other parents thought for a short while that her rabbit puppet was a real animal) - kids and parents enjoyed it! The kids loved her artistry with her glittery tattoos on their face and hands. Her balloon animals were also a huge hit. It was fantastic to have 1 person with so many great skills to keep kids happy. As my husband and I were running the party, we loved the fact that we were able to keep ~25 2 to 5 year olds entertained for the 3 hour party (2 hours during which Gale was there). These guys are awesome. I saw them at the great mall last year dressed up as superman, spiderman and wonder woman and they were doing a great job interacting with the kids so grabbed a business card while we were there. When I pulled up their website I was happy to see they also offer princesses since my daughters are absolutely obsessed with all things disney, especially Elsa and Anna from frozen. So we gave them a call a couple weeks before our bday bash since apparently they book up pretty fast. Well we decided on an Anna and Elsa double. We were required to put some money down to reserve our spot. Come the day before the party we got a confirmation call from our performer Sarah. Day of the party they gave us a call letting us know rain traffic put them back about 10 mins no biggie really but we appreciated the call. They show up and our daughters are totally star struck. After some interacting they got to work on a magic, fun and simple but it totally had our daughters' and their friends interest and laughter. The girls even got a cool little gift out of it. After the magic show they split up and gave the guests balloons and facepainting. Then before taking off they sang my girls favorite song (my least favorite) let it go and the girls loved it. We used them for my daughters birthday party this past weekend and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! My daughters are totally obsessed with princesses (maybe its because their father always calls them his little princesses). At first we were thinking about just a disney princess themed party then we saw we can have princesses actually come to our house (i had no idea people do this). We started shopping around and tried out gigsalad and got a call right away from these guys. They were so quick and helpful so we choose them. Anyways we decided on Cinderella since the girl in the pictures looked so pretty and we were told we could have her be our princess. They even gave me a discount since i work as a nurse. Come the day of the party to say the least our daughters were so happy! We all got a kick out of the magic show and the girls totally loved their face painting. We had Spider-Man (Michael) at my daughter's 3rd birthday party, and he was a big hit! He arrived on time and brought great energy to the event. While his costume could have been cleaner, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Michael started a little late after taking some time to settle in but made up for it by staying longer, which we truly appreciated. Once he began, he was fantastic! The Spider-Man training had all the kids excited - it was adorable to see the 3-year-olds trying to act like little superheroes. Even the adults enjoyed watching! He followed up with a fun magic show that both the little ones and older kids loved, then did some great balloon twisting. He even stayed for the cake cutting and posed for photos with everyone, ensuring the day was extra special for our family. I hired Marvelous Party Characters for my daughter's 5th birthday. My daughter loves super heros so I asked for Wonder Woman. The look on my daughter's face when Wonder Woman showed up was priceless! Wonder Woman's costume was amazing and truly looked like a superhero. The kids enjoyed the face painting and balloon twisting. But most of all, the kids loved the Superhero Academy activity. Wonder Woman had the kids go through a mini obstacle course, taught the kids superhero poses, they played games and in the end recited a superhero mantra. The kids were so into it and it was a blast for the parents to see how much fun the kids were having. Wonder Woman was very professional and was very good with kids. We had a phenomenal experience with our daughter Shelby's 4th birthday party. We had Elsa show up as the main event and we are so happy we did! The booking process was simple and they even communicated through text which is so nice since we both work. Our performer Sarah gave us a call to let us know traffic was bad and she might be a bit late but she showed up right on time. We appreciated the call either way. I wish we had a picture of our daughter's face when Elsa came around the corner it's seriously glued in my head! Once our daughter calmed down we were able to proceed with our activities: a funny but simple magic show and balloon animals. From the moment she arrived (right on time!), Sarah captivated the kids with her infectious energy and enthusiasm. I found Marvelous Party Characters online for my son's 5th birthday party. My son was stuck on Batman or Spiderman but in the end he chose Batman. Our performer gave us a confirmation call (our performer was Michael) and was so accomadating on the phone. He made sure all his information was correct on his end and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Michael went above and beyond at the party! He showed up in a pretty awesome Batman costume and made sure all the kids were included during his time there. He even did the Batman voice for the whole hour! We hired Sarah for our daughter's first birthday on August 15. This is the first time I have hired and seen an entertainer in the Bay Area, and we are so lucky to have Sarah. She made an effort on her appearance by wearing a princess dress with a tail, and a head band with ribbon, and cat whiskers, to match our hello kitty theme. We love it. We had magic show, balloon twisting and bubbles. In the end, kids and adults have enjoyed it. A lot of friends have asked us how did we find her, and how to reach out to her for their children's party. Some of them, have also been with other kid's party with entertainer but claims that they like how Sarah have handled the show. We had an absolutely magical experience with Princess Belle at our daughter's 3rd birthday party! Belle was amazing--so engaging, sweet, and truly brought the character to life. The girls were absolutely enchanted by her and had the time of their lives. Princess Belle gave the girls princess training, sang songs, danced, did face painting, and sang happy birthday with the birthday girl! I help run a day camp for kids during the summer and we wanted to do something special for the kids. One of my friends recommended these guys since they were a hit at her sons birthday party. We decided to hired them to come out during the week and do superhero training and a magic show as Spider-Man and Batgirl with the kids. The kids loved the magic show. The superhero training was good but I think they are working out the bugs of working with a larger audience we had over 50 kids in attendance. We were still extremely happy. I'm going to start this off by telling you they are as good as it gets. My daughter is obsessed with superheroes for some reason, maybe its all the Marvel and DC movies I watch. She recently started watching Supergirl on TV and wanted her to come for her birthday party. This saturday was awesome, our daughter was overjoyed that supergirl made it and was there to give her and her friends superhero lessons. Wonderful experience! Batman and Rapunzel showed up as a big surprise for the kids, and they absolutely loved it. I inquired 4 months prior to the planned event date and they mentioned they wouldn't have their availability until a month prior to the event date and that they'd reach out once they receive the schedule. The plan was a 20-30 minute show followed by leaving the bubble supplies for kids to play with. Pam arrived about 30 minutes late, and by the time setup was done, the kids were already excited and waiting. Unfortunately, the bubble show did not work at all. She tried mixing a solution on the spot, but nothing produced bubbles. It left the kids disappointed, and since we were already behind schedule, we had to stop and move on to cake cutting. She did a decent job with the face painting, and she did apologize and proactively offer a $50 discount, which I appreciate. However, the bubble portion should not have been committed to unless she was confident and prepared. First birthday is definitely not a place to experiment leaving the kids eagerly waiting Overall, while the face painting was fine and she handled the feedback politely, the bubble show experience was very disappointing -- especially since it was something we and all the kids were really looking forward to.
