They got it all set up about an hour before the party started. Their price was pretty reasonable although they did add $20 for travel to our location which makes sense since it's about 40 miles each way. We rented a small toddler bounce house for a birthday gathering in Palo Alto and had a really good experience overall. One issue we ran into while planning was that not many companies seemed willing to deliver all the way out to Palo Alto, especially for a smaller rental, so we were happy when we found a company that serviced the area without making the process difficult. We were hosting the party at Mitchell Park, so besides the bounce house itself we also needed a generator since there wasn't convenient power nearby. Luckily they were able to provide both, which made planning much easier. Their selection of inflatables was actually better than I expected, especially for younger kids. I specifically wanted something sized appropriately for toddlers and preschool-age children because most of the guests were under 7 years old. A lot of larger jumpers can feel overwhelming for little kids, but the one they recommended worked perfectly for the age group at our Palo Alto party. The bounce house was clean, well-maintained, and looked great when it arrived. The kids stayed entertained for most of the event and the setup fit really well within the park space without feeling too large or crowded. Everything was delivered and fully set up with plenty of time before guests arrived, which helped the party start smoothly without any last-minute stress. Every year we put together a small get-together at our preschool Children's House in Los Altos. We had such a wonderful experience planning our daughter's 5th birthday party with Fun Factory! We went with a unicorn pony theme, which can be tricky to pull off--especially since our party was at Palisades Park in Santa Monica, where there are lots of rules about bringing animals. just hired a magician and a jumpy castle for our party at California Pizza Kitchen in Anaheim, and it was a big hit. We had a whole bunch of kids and a wide age range, we weren't sure what activities would work best, but they had a good selection and helped us pick some good options. The magician was pretty good -- he set up a little stage, kept the kids involved for about 45 minutes, made the bday boy his helper and then made balloon animals afterward. I never write bad yelp reviews but after giving a $125 deposit to Jeff and booking them for a birthday party, I have to go through a business license process for the park which they initially agree to for an additional $300 something fee. This place did a nice job with our Cocomelon party character. It was for a bunch of 4-5-6 year olds. We hired the Cocomelon to come out for 1.5 hours and basically sing and dance and do some easy type kid's party games, stuff that was good for their age level. I was overally really impressed with the costume, it looked very clean and professional. The mascots don't really talk much but they bring a stereo with bluetooth to play the music and it was fine. We ordered a Cookie Monster costume for our daughters birthday. We were told about the $100 "refundable" security deposit after we submitted the payment information for the initial price and were automatically billed for it before confirming that was acceptable. For some reason, we were charged $120, not $100. We were told once we submitted confirmation it had been shipped back with the tracking link on the Monday following the event the deposit would be returned. Once we received the costume, the face sagged and had to be held up the entire time it was being worn. The eyes look like it's missing a pupil. It was an awful costume. We sent the costume back the Monday after the event and sent Jeff Herring a picture of the shipping label and the tracking number, to which he didn't reply. We had to reach out after the package was delivered to confirm that he received it, to which we expected some sort of communication about the security deposit. Nothing. We're now two weeks later with no communication at all. Jeff Herring (the owner) has completely stopped all communication. We've sent multiple emails, calls, left voicemails, all of which go unanswered. We're out the $100 security deposit after renting a low quality costume. I found this company online when I was looking for somewhere to rent an adult sized Daniel Tiger mascot costume. It was for a school event for about 100+ kids, mostly ages 4-7. We needed to have the Daniel Tiger character for a long time, so it definitely made more sense to just rent the costume and get an adult here to wear it instead of hiring a live performer for an entire day. We actually needed the costume for flexible hours too, so the rental was obviously more in line with what we needed. The price for the rental was pretty reasonable, we actually got to keep the costume for a few days and it was around $200.00. I'd say the rental process was pretty straight forward. I emailed them a couple times with questions and also to get a pic of how the costume actually looked. Both times I got a response back pretty fast like in less than half an hour. Their costume looked GREAT, and I was really happy to see when it arrived that it did look like the pics they had sent me. I'd say it's good for an adult to wear, it maybe takes a little bit of help getting it on which is why we had a couple people to assist the person wearing it. But all in all it fit great and looked great. The kids loved it, and the whole rental and return process was pretty easy. I found this place online after a bit of searching. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to even find what I was looking for cause it's kind of an obscure item. Basically I was looking to either hire a costume character of Hey Duggee or if I couldn't do that, maybe even to rent the costume and wear it myself. It turns out this place has both options available but given the price to hire a live character to come to the party, it seemed like a much better deal to just rent the costume. I think one reason the price to rent a live performer was as high as it was is that we live in kind of an out of the way area so they have to factor that in. So the costume rental idea turned out to be the best choice.  I was even surprised to find out they actually had a Hey Duggee type mascot costume cause that's kind of a newer character and no one else in our area that I could find offers that one yet.  They not only had it, but it was a really nice version of it! I've seen some mascots that don't look anything like the character they are supposed to represent, but I'd say this one is like a 90% match. It's about as good as you can expect on a rental, and definitely more than good enough for little kids to believe it's the real thing.  Anyway, we rented it for our party, it came on time and turned out to be exactly more or less what we were looking for.  I think for the price you pay and with getting door to door delivery and keeping the costume for the whole weekend, it's quite reasonable.  The customer service was fast and their response times were pretty quick. I actually placed the order about 2 weeks prior to our party date so I was especially happy to find out we still had time. I wish I could give negative star. As many people have written below, I am shocked this business is alive with such attitude from this person Jeff managing the bookings. He seems to be the owner. I think a lawsuit should be pending for all his harassing written communication. I was planning my son's birthday at a park which said vendors must be approved. So obviously before putting down a deposit, I want to confirm. Asked Jeff for basic information such as business name, license, and address and he denied. He said to make a deposit then he will share. I asked him that if for any reason the park denies, will I get my deposit back, and he said no. Seems a bit shady to me. I don't know any person in their right mind to do a booking without confirming that a particular vendor would be accepted. Especially if it's a public venue. Anyways, he denied and his responses became rude as a simple email back and forth started about why he can't share what should be really public information. This is concerning. I really found Jeff to be an immature person who is VERY unprofessional. I don't know what others think about those higher reviews, but this guy is beyond cocky about booking 25000 events a year, being "rich" with his investment portfolio etc. Sad, but money could not buy this person decency to communicate with people. He was very responsive which meant he didn't have a lot going on, but gosh... the back and forth beyond midnight was very shocking to come from an established business like this. I will rate on BBB and encourage everyone with bad experiences to do same. One bad vendor can ruin an entire special event. Don't be fooled by those positive reviews. This review is for JEFF HERRING, who appears to be the owner/manager of this company. BUYER BEWARE. I paid $350 for the following: Big Red Monster (aka Elmo) to arrive at the wrong home...late. When the entertainer did arrive, the entertainer went to the wrong home. I had emailed Jeff on two seperate occasions, one 3 weeks before the event, to note the address change. The part that was upsetting was that he claimed it was my fault...and attempted to shame me via text..like big time. He stated that he had texted me on April 22nd to confirm the party. I never received any such text...and the party was on April 1st. The whole time I was emailing him the address. Big Red monster was supposed to bring activities. According to the website or "policy," there was supposed to be games, a tunnel, etc. Elmo showed up with nothing but a CD and a boombox. She said the owner interviewed her for about 15 min, sent her a costume and a CD. What awesome training and management Jeff. Unfortunately the entertainer was not set up to succeed. Elmo was supposed to entertain for an hour. Because Elmo did not bring any games/activities, except for a CD, the kids got bored within 30min and I cut her off at 40min. It just wasn't worth it. The owner Jeff, REFUSED to give me the phone number directly to the entertainer to converse in advance. He cited to email him, to call a 1800 number, or text the company. I tried calling the 1800 number on 3 occasions...goes straight to vm. This was a red flag, but because I had already paid a $150 deposit, I was already knee deep in this mess. I feel bad for the entertainer, as this was her first gig, and she was absolutely not set up to succeed. Jeff DID NOT apologize. He doubled down on his rightousness. I honestly thought about letting this go, but because JEFF HERRING attempted to shame me, did not apologize, and continued to double down, I felt the need to write this and warn anyone who is thinking about doing business with this guy. To further clarify....I did not ask for any kind of money back. I just wanted a heartfelt apology....as this was a mistake on his part. I did not get it. I rented the PJ Mask mascot costumes for my son's 4th birthday party. When the boxes arrived, I noticed an odor right away. The odor wasn't like the costumes had been stored for a while, it was a dirty, sweaty, Body odor. Upon inspection of the costumes: Owlette had thread unraveling from the body suit, browning teeth, pins sticking out, an eyebrow falling off, and visible dirt/sweat stains in the mask and shoes. Gecko had a missing eye (that I later found in the box), the same visible dirt/sweat stains, and the front of the mask looked as though a cat had clawed at it. Cat Boy had a broken zipper on the suit, same cat scratches and dirt/sweat stains on the mask, and was WAY smaller than described. When I expressed my disappointment to Jeff via email, he no regard for the condition he sent the costumes in or the fact that he overcharged my card by almost double the rental amount, which I have now begun disputing with the bank. I saw this place online when I was trying to find somewhere to hire a real-life adult Angry Bird style mascot costume for a children's party. The whole party was an Angry Bird theme so that was what we really wanted and we thought how cool would it be to have an actual Angry Birds costume character there to meet the kids? I thought we could just hire an actual entertainer but no in this area - there isn't anyone that does that and the ones that do, don't have an Angry Birds costume. I found one other company that has an Angry Bird mascot but honestly, it looked pretty bad, so....no.  I think I found this one when I was doing some searching on Google and I really liked the pic they had of the costume. It really does look like a professional Angry Birds style mascot. I made a few calls to the company to make sure it was a legit business because you never know with something online and I didn't want to take any chances. But every time I called and talked to someone they were very friendly and answered all my questions and I felt ok about going forward. Turned out to be great, we received the costume a couple of days before the party and it did look just like the picture online. I posted a pic here so you can see it looks pretty good. It's a little bit bulky and kind of hard to wear for a long time but I think that's pretty normal for mascots in general. Also, they could have made the eye holes where you see out the costume a little bit bigger and in a better area because it is somewhat hard to see from inside the suit. But it's fine if you're just wearing it to take pictures with kids, no big deal. Mostly, I was just glad we were able to find something that fit with the party theme, and the fact that it was delivered right to our location made it that much easier. Especially now when it's a hassle to go out to a store it was great to just be able to order it online. Oh and they also sent me a pic of their Boss Baby mascot which looked AWESOME! I really loved it, it looked just like the movie. And when it came in the mail it looked even better! Was super comfortable to wear and easy to fit. I can see they make the sizes pretty large so mostly anyone could wear it. When my party was done one of my guests offered to drop the package off at UPS to return it. I could have done it myself but I had a house full of kids. Actually I could have brought it back on Monday but this was just as easy. For the price I paid I'm totally satisfied, also the whole process was easy so I had ample time to work on other stuff related to planning the party. It's nice that they email you a tracking number ahead of time so that you know exact what day you will be getting the package. One less thing to worry about as your party date gets closer! Over the holidays we had a little get together, not too big because of social distance but a few families with their kids. We didn't want to do anything too big but we thought it might be nice to have some background music while the event was taking place. I also wanted the type of music that would appeal to both adults as well as children. After a little while of searching I ended up finding this place. They have djs for corporate events and kid's parties and stuff. After a short conversation we ended up hiring Zack the Kid's Party DJ Guy. It ended up being a good fit, he played a good mix of tunes and led the smaller kids in some fun party games. We had a little family kids party get together last month with a Cocomelon theme.  We ended up hiring a Cocomelon party entertainer from this company. I was a little dubious because I'd never used anything like that before so wasn't really sure what to expect. They did send me some pics ahead of time but still I wasn't sure how it would look in real life.  But they ended up doing a terrific job. The Cocomelon performer they sent was name Anthony and he was very outgoing with the children. His costume looked really nice very professional and he was leading the kids in doing party activities and stuff. They did a really professional job and it definitely helped bring a lot of fun energy to the day. read more
