The positives: They showed up pretty much on time, listened and adjusted about how we wanted to be set up and we found the equipment to be in excellent working condition and was really fun for all the kids. The negatives: When I placed my order, there was only one snow cone machine available. I had to call three times to get confirmation and adjustment to my bill showing that my request was fulfilled. The driver gave us three gallon-sized syrups but no pump (which was what I was told to expect) which made it really hard to pour and then wanted the leftover syrup back (which I appreciate that it isn't wasted but would have liked to know this upfront rather than at pickup). Would have also love a drainage pipe/bucket so melting ice didn't drench our table from the holes on the machine. Overall, I'd use them again but would love if they ironed out these shortcomings to ensure a smoother process and event.

I rented out the inflatable jousting for my boyfriends graduation back in May 2021! We had tons of fun; everyone got to join in on the tournament! Kenji was able to drop it off and pick up at the times we had planned. He did a great job with setting it up for us, the bouncy was clean.

During the week I felt nervous (only because I've heard so many bounce house rental horror stories about other companies no-showing) and Tony was communicative by text to confirm our reservation. Tony delivered the obstacle course several hours before the party started so we weren't stressed. He was so friendly and kind and really cared about the kids having fun. He gave us lots of suggestions about the best place to set up the equipment, how to make it a water slide if the kids got hot, etc. He then spent about an hour at hour house cleaning and adjusting the bounce course so it was perfect. The next morning he arrived right on time to take it away. All that, plus his prices were hundreds of dollars less than other companies we talked to. There were a few tape patches on the bounce house, but we didn't care about that and neither did the kiddos. It worked perfectly and held up to a dozen teenagers crashing around on it all night. Tony was the hero of our kid's birthday party :-)

Modern bounce is the first place in the Bay Area that I've seen offer the bubble house. You can pick 2 different color balloons for the bubble house. I was lucky to get a promo for being one of their first customers.

Everything was so smooth from the initial inquiry to the breakdown of the jumper. I asked about the highly sought after 3-in-1 bounce house but it wasn't available on my date so I booked the 2-in-1 with a slide. I loved the optional add-on of coordinating balloons. This makes it so easy to match ANY theme. Our was 7-Eleven (my daughter turned 11 on 7/11!) Cindy reached out a few days later and said the 3-in-1 was available after all! I really wanted the ball pit for the smaller children, but it ended up being a HUGE hit for the pre-teen kids as well, so this worked out great for us! BALLOONS: if you're on the fence like I was, bite the bullet and do it! It really completes the aesthetics and theme of the bounce house. Cindy was really transparent and gave me a heads up that some balloons may pop due to being in direct sunlight on a hot day, which I appreciated. We were all pleasantly surprised that NONE of the balloons popped and withstood the test... needless to say the quality of material is top tier! Also, they offered to comp gold 7-11 numbers on the arrangement for us! Overall, the communication was awesome and the setup/breakdown was great (takes about an hour) . And the bounce house itself was really clean and white bc they sanitize after every use. CONS: when they came to pick up the bounce house because the kids didn't want to stop playing, and they were so kind and asked the kids if they wanted another 10 minutes! The cherry on top was a birthday gift they gave my daughter, which was totally unexpected. It was so thoughtfully curated for her age! Clips, keychains, stickers, and body/lip scrub set. I don't know if they can continue to add this touch as they grow, but it was certainly a sweet gesture as a show of appreciation as they're starting out! These are significantly more than your average jumper but SO worth it! My daughter and her friends were still talking about it after the party was over. I'm thinking I should book for a grown up party next! Thanks Modern Bounce for making my girls bounce house dreams come true!
