I found a really cool face painter from here. We did a party for a bunch of 5-8-year-olds, about 25 kids total. She came out for 2 hours, was super friendly, and her face paints were awesome. Was a little chaotic because we did it at Kiddo Adventure in San Mateo, but she made it work. Great job, and the kids had fun.
Rented a bouncy castle here for this past weekend. We did the party at our local Red Morton Community Center. The bouncer was fun, was kid - friendly colors. They got it all set up about an hour before the party started. Their price was pretty reasonable although they did add $20 for travel to our location which makes sense since it's about 40 miles each way. Kids loved the jumper and they made sure everything was safe and secure before they left. Came back later for an on - time pickup.
We just found a really cute pony rental from here. They brought the pony out to our house in Palo Alto along with their staff lady to help with the kids. Pony was sweet and gentle and good size for our kids group which was basically 3-6 year olds. Kids got to ride on the pony, pet it feed it and take pics. Price was pretty reasonable including travel to our location.
I used this place to hire a giant waterslide. We had the party in our backyard in Milpitas. It was a great looking slide, actually much bigger than I thought it would be but it still fit well in our backyard space. Plenty of room for the kids to go on, it was easy to set up and easy to use. Perfect for a hot day and the price was pretty reasonable considering how big it was.
Every year we put together a small get-together at our preschool Children's House in Los Altos. We do it for the kids and families, and we're always looking for something fun that works for a wide age range, especially toddlers and younger kids around 1-7. We've ended up using Fun Factory pretty consistently because they have a lot of options that actually make sense for that age group, and they've always been reliable for us. This time we went with their face painting service and it turned out great. Brenda and Alyssa were both really good with the kids--patient, friendly, and easygoing--and their designs came out looking really impressive. The kids were excited the whole time and it added a really nice element to the event. Overall just another smooth, fun experience.
We rented a small toddler bounce house for a birthday gathering in Palo Alto and had a really good experience overall. One issue we ran into while planning was that not many companies seemed willing to deliver all the way out to Palo Alto, especially for a smaller rental, so we were happy when we found a company that serviced the area without making the process difficult. We were hosting the party at Mitchell Park, so besides the bounce house itself we also needed a generator since there wasn't convenient power nearby. Luckily they were able to provide both, which made planning much easier. Their selection of inflatables was actually better than I expected, especially for younger kids. I specifically wanted something sized appropriately for toddlers and preschool-age children because most of the guests were under 7 years old. A lot of larger jumpers can feel overwhelming for little kids, but the one they recommended worked perfectly for the age group at our Palo Alto party. The bounce house was clean, well-maintained, and looked great when it arrived. The kids stayed entertained for most of the event and the setup fit really well within the park space without feeling too large or crowded. Everything was delivered and fully set up with plenty of time before guests arrived, which helped the party start smoothly without any last-minute stress. Overall, we were very happy with both the inflatable rental and the service they provided in Palo Alto, and I would definitely consider using them again for another kids party or park event in the area.
We did a little block party over spring break at our house in Fremont. We just wanted something simple and fun for the kids to stay entertained for a few hours. We ended up renting a castle bounce house and also had a SpongeBob character come out for an hour. Both turned out really well. The SpongeBob costume was in great condition and honestly looked almost new, which the kids were really excited about. The bounce house was set up about an hour before everyone arrived, so everything was ready to go without any stress or rushing. It was clean, secure, and in really good shape overall. The jumpy had enough space for around 15-20 kids at a time, so it handled the group easily without feeling overcrowded. We had kids from Fremont and a few nearby neighborhoods, and it kept everyone busy the entire time. It really helped turn a simple block party into something that felt organized and fun without us having to overplan anything.
I had used this place to rent a unicorn rainbow theme bouncey castle for my little girl's 4th bday. The whole party was rainbow theme so we needed something that would fit with that. It looked great, the bouncer was really cute and a good size for the kids. It looked like it was in pretty new condition and very clean. They came to set it up and had everything ready to go ahead of time, we just paid cash when they arrived. We kept it about 6 hours and the kids had a great time. The main thing for me was that they were very reliable and came on time and also that the jumper was safe and looked good and fit in with our party theme.
I had used this place to rent a bouncy castle. We got something that had a combo of bouncer and also a slide attached. It was pretty cute, a good size for kids up to like 12. I think bigger than that they might have had an issue. The jumper barely fit in our backyard I think it was like 25 feet long or something. I'm not sure but Carlos the guy who delivered did a really good job of making it fit.At first I thought it would be too big but he made it work, saved the party ha ha! The kids liked it and one thing I liked was it was clean and also he got it set up before anyone came so it wasn't in the way when the kids were arriving. Seems like a pretty good place, their inventory is a little bit limited but I was overall pretty happy with what we got and the price.
I found this company online when I was looking for somewhere to rent an adult sized Daniel Tiger mascot costume. It was for a school event for about 100+ kids, mostly ages 4-7. We needed to have the Daniel Tiger character for a long time, so it definitely made more sense to just rent the costume and get an adult here to wear it instead of hiring a live performer for an entire day. We actually needed the costume for flexible hours too, so the rental was obviously more in line with what we needed. The price for the rental was pretty reasonable, we actually got to keep the costume for a few days and it was around $200.00. I'd say the rental process was pretty straight forward. I emailed them a couple times with questions and also to get a pic of how the costume actually looked. Both times I got a response back pretty fast like in less than half an hour. Their costume looked GREAT, and I was really happy to see when it arrived that it did look like the pics they had sent me. I'd say it's good for an adult to wear, it maybe takes a little bit of help getting it on which is why we had a couple people to assist the person wearing it. But all in all it fit great and looked great. The kids loved it, and the whole rental and return process was pretty easy. I like their selection of costumes so it's pretty likely we will do this again maybe for something seasonal or a holiday theme type mascot.

Over the holidays we had a little get together, not too big because of social distance but a few families with their kids. We didn't want to do anything too big but we thought it might be nice to have some background music while the event was taking place. I also wanted the type of music that would appeal to both adults as well as children. After a little while of searching I ended up finding this place. They have djs for corporate events and kid's parties and stuff. After a short conversation we ended up hiring Zack the Kid's Party DJ Guy. It ended up being a good fit, he played a good mix of tunes and led the smaller kids in some fun party games. The music wasn't too loud and we could talk over it, just added some nice ambience to the gathering. read more

We rented a Elmo character entertainer from this company and it was so fun!! Elmo had tons of energy and he was dancing with all the kids and the bday boy looooved it!! It was soooo cute lol. We had a video and we were watching the whole thing after and totally laughing. The Elmo guy had his own stuff to do but actually the kids were just so into dancing and hugging with Elmo that we ended up letting that stuff go and just videoing the kids and letting them have fun. The Elmo suit looked great and you could tell by the kids reaction they were totally into it. It was a super nice addition to our Sesame Street party and totally worth it. read more

We had a little family kids party get together last month with a Cocomelon theme. We ended up hiring a Cocomelon party entertainer from this company. I was a little dubious because I'd never used anything like that before so wasn't really sure what to expect. They did send me some pics ahead of time but still I wasn't sure how it would look in real life. But they ended up doing a terrific job. The Cocomelon performer they sent was name Anthony and he was very outgoing with the children. His costume looked really nice very professional and he was leading the kids in doing party activities and stuff. They did a really professional job and it definitely helped bring a lot of fun energy to the day. read more

I ordered a paw patrol costume for my daughters birthday. Jeff was quick to answer all questions and provided me with the ups tracking number. There was a delay with shipment but Jeff made sure to inform me and made sure I received the costume before the birthday party. The return process was easy. Over all my experience with fun factory parties was great. I will definitely be using them again. read more

Wish I would have read these reviews! Yikes, I've never had to deal with a company as rude, immature and aggressive as this. Jeff never responded to my inquiries about extending the rental period for a costume. Figured I'd just pay the late fees and return it the next week since I didn't hear back from him. Left me 2 rude and aggressive voicemails demanding I return the costume. I didn't mind paying the extended or late fees as we needed it for a 2 week event. Received sarcastic and flippant replies. Good lines from Jeff to me include: "You are clearly a genius" "Yes, your lectures on maturity mean so much to me. Please keep them coming #genius" "You should do a Youtube channel called "I'm Really Smart"." "I look forward to hearing more of your terrific advice and input. It means a lot to me." Also costume was not how it appeared on the website (pictures of creepy Charlie Brown attached). Doing business with Jeff was like doing business with a sassy, immature middle schooler. read more

We hired a facepainter from this place for a school event. We had about 40 kids so ended up hiring them for 2 hours which seemed like enough time to cover everyone. The kids enjoyed it, it's a good thing to do for a family type event. The parents got lots of pics and the kids had fun. The people who came out to do the face painting were good with the kids and brought all their own supplies and materials. The price was pretty reasonable for the amount of time they stayed. read more

Jeff Herring insulted myself and my children over a question. On their website it states $365 for one hour of petting zoo. I left my information to be contacted to book. I got a text message and email stating it would be $525 I asked about the $365 on the website and instead of giving me professional feedback I got a good luck on both text and email. I replied confused as my question was not answered. I replied that my question wasn't answered and I was given a rude response of $525. I replied upset because it was disrespectful and the screenshots show as to why JEFF HERRING is a person that does not deserve a mother's or families service. I'm beyond upset by this treatment and this Yelp review is only the beginning of what JEFF HERRING is gonna hear from me and my family. read more

I would put negative stars If I could. I am not one to typically write negative reviews but this was one of the worst experiences Ive ever gone through. Horrible costumer service. I could not get a hold of Jeff when I needed to but he harassed me non-stop about an invoice he had just sent only a day prior! He intially told me I had until the next morning to make the payment but continued to harass me throughout the night. And because I didn't respond within a minute of his text...he threatened to take me to collections because I "refused to pay". read more

I had ordered an Olaf birthday party costume rental from this company. It was actually for a holiday type party not a bday. We did Olaf cuz it's kind of a xmas type theme and most of the kids know the character already. I had asked for pics of the costume ahead of time and when it came it definitely did look like the pictures. There was a little delay in getting the costume but it wasn't the company's fault it was cuz of bad weather and there was a UPS delay, but we still got it in time for our event. Costume looked good, fit good and the order went smooth. It was a little bit more than I thought it would be to ship it back, so you have to factor that cost in ahead of time when you order. Pretty decent customer service, a little bit slow but also it was the holiday season so I guess they were busier than normal. read more

Booked the petting zoo for my son's birthday party. I didn't read many reviews before hand so when I gave the deposit and then a few weeks later read reviews, I was worried because of all the negative reviews I read. I personally had a great conversation via email with Jeff in regards to him answering all of the questions I had and getting the deposit in. I also checked in few times to make sure everything was still set and he was very quick to respond. The day the of the event, the workers were very friendly and great people to interact with. The balance was the same. I did not get charged more than what was already set. My guests absolutely loved it! I will definitely be booking in the future. read more

We had found this place in July to hire Poppy from Trolls movie to come out to a little girl's 4th bday party. She really wanted to meet Poppy and have her come to the party in person, so that was her special birthday surprise. I was glad I was even able to find someone in my area that has Poppy because a few places I called either didn't have her at all or they didn't really come out to our area. Fortunately I had found this place and emailed them and they had her so that was great. Also the main thing was their Poppy costume looks really nice! It's super professional looking and actually looks like the Poppy from the movie. The bday girl is a Trolls superfan so we were kind of worried would she believe it or not, but the costume looked so good she was totally into it. Her face lit up when she saw Poppy and she was hanging onto her and hugging her the entire time she was there. It went great, and we got lots of super cute pictures to show the relatives. The other kids loved it too, and she brought out some party games that were good for small children so even the kids who didn't know Poppy that well were still into dancing and playing along with the games. It was really fun and for the price I would say it's worth it, if it's just a once a year party treat while the kids are still young enough to believe in it, then why not. read more

I would 100 times over recommend this company. 3 days short of our sons birthday the entertainers we rented from another company cancelled. We were strapped for time and scrambling to find something. I reached out and this company rented us the buzz Lightyear suit. I paid Wednesday expected it Friday and received it a day early. It was nice to have buzz Lightyear as much as we wanted instead of the hour we had rented for the paid characters at the other company. Shipping back was easy they sent pre paid shipping labels. But most importantly our son loved it and they saved our sons first birthday! Not to mention our family had way to much fun dressing up with this costume lol . read more

We used this company to hire 2 costume characters for a big neighborhood party we had. There was a bunch of kids there and we had a ton of stuff for them to do. We got one girl character and one boy for each. They had a great Abby cadabby and Woody toy story so those are the 2 we got. The costumes looked really awesome. The kids had tons of fun interacting with them and the characters even challenged them to a dance contest! It was hilarious. We got a lot of good pics and video and it was the talk of the neighborhood for a week. It felt really good to be able to do something fun for the kids in our area because they had to be in lockdown for so long, it's great to see them finally be able to enjoy themselves and just be goofy and be kids again. I thought the company did a good job, it's a little more expensive then a couple other places I've used but when you compare the quality of the costumes and the performers they send out it's really professional so I don't mind maybe paying a little bit more. Better to pay more and get a great party than save $50 and it's not worth it. read more

We had a 1st birthday Party with Willow the unicorn. It was magical we enjoyed every bit of our day with the pony. Eduardo was really kind and very patient with our guests. We are having another party and we are having a pony again! Great place and great service!! read more
I used this company to rent an Elmo birthday party character. It was for an Elmo sesame street style party that we did at our house. It was in the backyard, there were about 20 kids there in all mostly ages about 3-5/ They loved the Elmo that came out. It was a really cute costume and it looked like the sesame street Elmo. He brought out a bunch of little games and activities to do with the kids. It was for about an hour, was a little bit expensive like $250 for the hour but it was worth it cause the Elmo performer brought a lot of stuff to do with the kids. He did the stuff that's listed on their company's website like Hokey Pokey, limbo game and stuff like that. For the last 20 minutes, we had Elmo there while we brought out the birthday cake and sang happy bday with all the kids gathered around. We got some really nice pics and the other parents were really happy. Lots of them asked where we got the Elmo. It seems like a really fun thing to do for a little kid's party especially if there are a lot of kids. For a once a year type thing it's good even for the amount of money it costs. read more

I was at an event over the holidays for our business where they had hired a little kids choo choo train. I asked where they got it and they said it was from this company. The train was great, perfect for little kids and for a family type get together. What was super cute about it was they had decorated the train with little lights and stuff. It was an outdoor event and it was at night time so the train was all lit up it looked very nice especially for a holiday party. I think about 20 kids at a time could ride on it. Parents could go on it so it's a nice thing for families to do together. Very safe because it can go in a parking lot away from cars and stuff. For kids up about ages 11 or 12 I think this is a great party idea. read more

I rented a Daniel Tiger costume for a children's Halloween party and it was a HIT! It arrived and fit exactly as described (I'm 6'2" 245lbs and it fit me with a little room to spare). The kids absolutely loved it. They all knew instantly who it was, though they also instantly knew it was Uncle Steve wearing a costume. Jeff is responsive, helpful, and generous. We just rented a super cute, life sized snoopy mascot costume from this place. It was for a kid's all day event with about 150 kids for a combo school event and family day fund raiser. It was a suprise that we were bringing in a costume character but we didn;t have a lot of money to spend because it was a fund raiser, so we went with the most cost effective route, and just rented the suit. A couple of the parents and one of the teachers took turns wearing it during the event. You can see in the pictures that the costume is super high in quality. Very professional looking and in excellent shape. The kids loved it, everyone got a chance to meet snoopy and we got lots of great pictures for our newsletter. The price of the rental was under $250 and we got to have the costume for 3.5 days so it more than covered the time span of the event. It was a super fun addition and something we would definitely consider doing again. The company made it easy to order and kept in touch with us the whole time leading up to the event. read more

We found this place to rent a Zootopia mascot for an adult. What we wanted it for was to help out with a fundraiser for a school. Of course, during corona there are a lot fewer options, so we thought just renting a mascot would do the trick. Turned out to be a great idea. We ordered online and the costume showed up by ups within about a week or so. It was a good price and we got to keep it for a few days. The costume was in good quality condition and easy to wear except it was hot inside but I think that's pretty much normal for mascots. Anyway, it was a fun way to help out with our school fundraiser and give the kids kind of a treat, which they really need these days. read more

I used this place to hire a couple of clown balloon twisters for a corporate event. They did a pretty nice job. One of them showed up like 10 minutes late but it was not a big deal as it did not effect the overall timing of the event. I thought their makeup, etc was basically appropriate for a children's event. One of them did balloon animals and the other painted the kid's faces. The balloon twister was pretty good, I thought the face painting was fine but maybe a little but simple but that could also be because they had a lot of kids to do in a short period of time. I was looking for anywhere I could rent or hire an actual Jimmy Neutron costume character for a kid's event. The problem was no one around here has that character available for rent. So after searching around a while I ended up finding this place, and I was surprised to see that they actually DO have the costume and it looks great! They can rent you the costume - they don't have someone to come out and wear it - but it's actually a better deal to just rent the costume and wear it on your own. Their costume is awesome, it was brand new and looks super cool. We rented it for 4 days and used it a few times for a couple hours. It was clean on the inside and seemed very covid - safe. It was definitely a bit hot on the inside to wear but we only kept it on for like an hour or so at a time. It was pretty easy to see out of and for just basic stuff like picture taking etc it wsa just fine. The rental process was very easy and the company really came through for us. Next time we do this I will absolutely get in touch with them!! read more

I hired a really cute pony rental from this place for a little girl's 6th birthday party. I was really happy with the service that we got. The pony that they brought out was just the right size for that age range. It was very clean looking and obviously well trained as far as being around kids. It was calm and gentle around the kids. All the kids loved having the pony and especially getting to sit on it and ride around. The staff people who came out to supervise were very friendly and patient with the children. They helped everyone get on and off the pony and even helped us pose them for some really great pictures. For any type of animal theme party I would recommend these guys, their animals are in very nice condition and the helpers that come with them are very professional. read more

Terrible customer service -- this states that it is closed, but it is not. I thought this would be a great option for a character at a party, boy was I wrong. Jeff was rude from the start and I chalked it up to poor written communication skills. When I sent photos of the costume arriving damaged and asked for a discount because the wrong shoes were sent, he charged me $150 late fee (when it wasn't returned late) and began to call me names. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to remove it. If you want the WISH version of a character with the worst customer service imaginable -- you're in the right place. read more

We just hired a facepainter from this place. They have clowns and stuff like that but we didn't want a full on actual clown because the kids get scared. So we just had someone come in for a couple hours and do face painting and they were wearing a colorful outfit but no clown makeup or anything scary like that. The face painting was great, she was fast and in 2 hours she was able to get everyone done. The lady's name was Linda and she was very nice. She kept it moving and she was organized which was good because there were a lot of kids like 23 in all so she had to be organized to get everyone done in the time she was there. She maybe stayed an extra 15 minutes or so which was super nice of her. The price was reasonable to have someone come out to our location. read more

We recently had a Cocomelon theme birthday party for some 3 and 4 year old kids. The whole party theme was Cocomelon so we wanted to do something special that went along with that theme. We ended up looking around for somewhere we could either hire a live Cocomelon character to come out in person or if not that then to just rent the Cocomelon mascot costume and have someone here wear it themselves. Sounded kinda fun actually to dress up as Cocomelon for some little kids! We did find this place and they actually have both the live character performer or you can just rent the costume. Because the kids were all pretty small and the price was like $125 more to hire a performer we decided to go with Plan B and rent the costume and wear it ourselves. We had plenty of volunteers who were willing to put the costume on! That turned out to be the right way to go because the kids were so young that I don't think they really could have paid attention to all the party games and activities that the live character was supposed to do. So we rented the costume and it worked out just great. It came to my house 3 days before the party which was earlier than I expected but also meant I didn't have to worry whether it would make it on time. It looked great! Fit was good, of course a little bit hot inside but I think any type of mascot costume is like that. It was clean and new and in great condition. I was worried whether it would be clean and covid safe but it totally was. The kids loved seeing Cocomelon and for like $200 we got to give them as much as they wanted to visit and got tons of great party pics and memories. read more

We found this place when I was looking for somewhere to hire a live Cocomelon entertainer. Unfortunately there aren't many places in this area that offer that character. An office friend referred me to this company and luckily they had a Cocomelon available. Good thing I got in touch with them a month ahead of time because that character is hard to find and is often sold out, but yay they had it on our party date. The price was a little bit higher than I was expecting to pay, I've seen other character companies that charge like $250 or so for an hour. This place charges $350 but in a way it's kind of understandable because their performer had to drive about 60 miles each way to reach us so 120 miles total which is a lot of time and gas, so we were willing to pay a little bit more than normal. Worked out great, the Cocomelon came right on time and omg the costume was AMAZING!!! I honestly wasn't expecting to be able to find a Cocomelon mascot of this high a quality level. Not only that but the performer was great, she brought along enough stuff to do with the kids to keep them busy for an hour. Took plenty of pics and everyone had fun even the adults as you can see! I can easily leave 5 stars even though the price was high, the quality of the costume and service was totally worth it! read more

After renting mirabel costume for my daughters birthday on 9/10 & returning it back 9/12 & receiving an email today 10/5/22 that the costumes head wasn't in the box when I know it was in there & the label weighting was it's suppose to weight & him still claiming the head wasn't In there then what was in there because the dress or the shoes can't weight exactly what the shipping label says ! & he doesn't want to give me my money back how do I know he didn't rent it out to someone else or that he is doing this just to steal money from me! read more

I highly recommend Fun Factory! Jeff is so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I asked him at least 50 questions via email, texting, and over the phone. He kindly answered all of them! I rented a Snoopy Mascot Costume for my daughter's 6th birthday. I was 100% pleased with the costume!!!! So darn cute!!!!! I was even more pleased with the ease of ordering it! At first, it seemed too good to be true, but it came two days after I ordered it! Dropping it off at UPS was easy as well. I put the costume back into the box it came in, and UPS sealed it up!!!! I will use Fun Factory many more times!!!!! Easy online ordering and the best customer service ever!!!!!! YAY!!!!! Thank you Jeff!!!!!! My daughter and her friends loved Snoopy!!!!!!! read more
